My favorite Vellumental, and one of the coolest designs in this game! It looks similar to Moltres but it's actually based on Suzaku the vermillion bird of Chinese Mythology.
I have a theory about the Vellumentals and that they were always Origami creatures. The main thing that throws me off is A.) the lack of eyes, because, no matter the thing that was folded, the eyes of the creature always were there, and B.) why would they turn into books that have instructions on how to fold into them?
Olivia does mention that no folded soldiers can be restored. Perhaps, this is similar and the Bibliofolds are just (for some reason) the best they can do to help you from then on, even though they still look more-or-less okay. Perhaps they aren't really able to help directly (due to just being beaten) so the instructions are the next best thing.
@@robertreck431 Well, with all due respect, while Olly can become the Vellumentals, I don't think he could FOLD one. Sure, Olivia folds Bowser, who's a big boi in his own right, but he becomes bigger due to the Origami Power flowing throughout the castle, and again, still retains his eyes in the process.
@@yilinchua8205 The Vellumentals are inspired by the Five Gods from traditional Chinese mythology and astrology. Earth Vellumental is inspired by Xuánwǔ and Huánglóng. Water Vellumental is inspired by Qīnglóng and Xuánwǔ. Fire Vellumental is inspired by Zhūquè. Ice Vellumental is inspired by Báihǔ and Xuánwǔ.
First, there's Kantonian Moltres, then Galarian Moltres, and now, there's Mushroomian Moltres. Signature Move is a Fire-type Spikes. If this causes Burn Status on switch-ins, that's broken when used against physical attackers that aren't fire-types.
Pokemon Insurgence had a stacking field hazard similar to that called Wildfire, except each stack only increased the chance of a Burn, up to 15 stacks for a 15/16 of a burn on switch-in.
When I first got this game and played it blind I assumed the fire would be a Phoenix and I was correct but the boos fight was super tough this monster don’t mess around
It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize I didn't have to use the water vellumental every time it relit. I misunderstood and thought that after each 1st turn back as fire, it would regenerate again. Then I realized that a Mario game wouldn't be that brutal. (Not this early on, anyways.)
Haha moltres haha, but ngl, all the vellumentals kinda remind me of Pokémon, the ice one reminds me of beartic, the fire one (as previously stated) reminds me of moltres, the earth one reminds of drednaw (a bit of a stretch but eh), and the water one reminds me of salemence at first glance
It took me a while but I let the beast use almost its feather then healed up 100% and took a risky move by walking through the feathery fire almost killing me and defeated since it uses it's own HP.
Use the Water Vellumental as many times as you can during that fight. Do not, and I mean DO NOT, use 1000 fold arms before you are certain you will defeat it.
Korok Seed I’ve faced all the bosses up to Fire Vellumental at this point, I’m torn between if Coloured Pencils or Fire Vellumental was easier, even the Fire Vellumental’s dungeon wasn’t that hard, the hardest at the moment in my opinion is the Rubber Band, oh my god I HATE that boss

So is moltres

They would have been similar to how the dragons from ttyd and super dimentio were ir Mimi when flipping i to 3D
The comment section apparently have no idea what a phoenix is. To each their culture I guess.
Nihil Ego *MOLTRES*
@Competition For LOST No thanks my Incineroar already satisfy all my sexual needs.
It's clearly a Phoenix, based on Chinese culture. I'm getting intolerable with all this Pokemon jokes.

Legit Moltres is in the game, they should've added Zapdos and Articuno too
Haha funny joke comment that’s not even related
And while you're at it they should put in the galarian variants too XD
They did add drednaw, beartic and salamence though.
@@Yoshimongo I loved when Salamence used Hydro Pump and became morbidly obese
The neutral water element (not pumped up) almost looks like drednaw
That ain't even subtle, that's just a straight-up Moltres

So is Mario in Kanto cause that's a Moltres 110%
Who else is getting "Moltres" vibes from this.? They're almost the same (design-wise) except for the tail[s]
Elian Rodriguez
There are a few differences but they are VERY similar
Kinda looks like a Mega Moltres design that hasn’t been finished
Well duh. It's supposed to resemble a phoenix/vermillion bird, which what this and Moltres are based off of.
Code Cody
Yeah, but they could’ve made them less similar
@@Void_Echoes Not really. It's a bird. Not much you can do differently to not make it not look like the pokemon bird based off of the same....bird.

Ho-Oh is also based off a phoenix and it looks different
We NEED Molten Feathers as Moltres’s new signature move.
