You can't say we Canadians aren't tough.
Just a light breeze
No big deal. You can go fishing in that weather still!
Sure! Great day to take Mrs Bye and the little byes to the beach
***** austrians go into hot tub then get out and roll around in the snow lol
+Rocker5593 i do that every day
That's one dedicated crew. I applaud you.
Is it dorky that the only thing I can think of is how well the audio is coming through in those conditions?
This has got to be the worst winter ever for us. It just sucks.
Just a typical spring day in Canada
Am I the only one that loves winter?
Comparing it to a sandblasting was a pretty good way to describe it. It was extremely painful when it hit the face, and the winds I experienced here weren't quite as strong as they were there. It was crazy windy/icy/snowy out there today!
My Father grew up in Cheticamp which is next door to Grand Etang. He said some storms lasted as much as 3 days. They build their houses to withstand the 160+ winds of these storms. They use spokes instead of nails and use lots of them
*Casually reports news during a blizzard*
*Gets blown away*
"We're fine"
That's Canada during the winter. During the Summer it's too damn hot out.
A friend , who lives in the area told me, " it's not too bad , if you can still crawl" ...!
Think about it ! LOL
I feel you guys! It hit us too! Crazy storm! Blew off roofs here!
There's a place in Alberta Canada called
"Cold Lake"
They call it that to make it seem warmer then it really is.
a Friend reported a gust later on @ 211 KPH
It was really bad but Nova Scotia still did not get the worst of the winds. The west coast of Newfoundland, specifically Stephenville area, got winds of over 180 kph.
Hats off to those hardy folk on the Atlantic coast.
Seriously? No one is gonna say anything about the title of this video?
Well. I'll just say they had to warm up somehow.
This video is from my home town. On days like that, I'm glad I'm not living there right now.
Happy Spring Everyone!
that is an amazing wind filter
Never understood why these guys need to be out there reporting. Its a blizzard, hurricane, tornado. We get it.
love Canadian spring!!
Saw this live, me and my friend happened to be watching the weather network. We cracked right up.. sooo funny.. when he walks backward back onscreen it looked just like an episode of sesame street
Is this beforebor after the part skywalker saw ben kenobi?
I thought this video was gonna be completely different based on how I happened to have interpreted the title.
i lol'ed
^thats what im here for.
Gotta luv springtime in Canada!!
Welcome to Canada fellas
That's Canada for u 🍁🍁🍁
So proud to be Canadian.
We got hit pretty decent to up here in NB, still blowin hard
Good ol' Canadian spring!
Going through this storm now.. shocked i have power still but lights keep flickering
Spring in Canada.
Have been through many of these winds, and thanking God I'm not there for this one!
At least it's a dry cold! That's what makes it ok!
Human Kites anyone?!?
We really don't give enough credit to our weather reporters!
*in a blizzard*
"hey, at least its getting sunny"
Am from that area, these guys r nuts! I remember as a kid seeing transfer trucks turned upside down from these suetes winds. They're no laughing matter, and in fact terrifying! Just bought house near where these guys would be standing..hope my house will be @ the end of this day :(
...Jesus, what the fuck did you just say.
My home town too. Glad to be much further south on a day like that.
Chris Murphy I'm assuming I got 2 likes because people understood from my brief comment I was pointing out your atrocious grammar. Adding to how it makes it very hard for regular people to understand what you are saying. Sorry if I hurt your feelings Ma'am. /s
Heqtiks Doobtube Hey grammar police, she's from Cape Breton.
Nova Scotia for you. HA... Spring. I'm lucky to live in Ontario at least!
welcome to canada
That was a pretty crazy storm....but to be honest I was a little disappointed. I was hoping the school would close for a week, not just two days. :)
Just another normal day in Canada.
Back to you America
This video blows! :D
Well we just got our power back here in Digby County...didn't have Les Suetes wind here but I tell ya, 100 km/h is quite enough for me! Still gusting out there...can't wait for it to be over!!!!
Anyone find it odd that every snowstorm Nova Scotia had this year fell on a wednesday pretty much?
LOL, Grand E'Tang on a day like this?? Yer lucky yer not out swimmin somewhere. WOW!!
Just another Nor' Easter on the Canadian East Coast, the wind there hit 103 Kph.
So they said 170 that's 105 mph for those wondering also in the comments someone said later 211 was reported so that'd be 131 mph and in that cold jesus that'd be beyond insane
I was watching this live earlier on in the day and I can't find it on UA-cam but they both flew out of view from the camera for a good 10 seconds
crazy weather you guys
stay safe
Not going away anytime soon....wakey wakey new cycle.
Do you feel a draft blowing from somewhere?
The energy is there! and it is free!
During weather like this my high school would still remain open... Canada eh
I'm sorry but that was a little comical! Sky is getting brighter? Maybe here in Florida ... poor guys! :/
Looks like a bad storm. At least those reporters got blown off-camera, hopefully somewhere warm.
why the fuck would they be out there
agreed. foolishness. I didn't ask them to do it.
There's a better one! Chris and I got blown right off our feet when the winds got really, really bad. Video is here: Reporters fall, lose microphone during live blizzard update
Now thats Canadian!
gotta love storms in Nova Scotia! (That was the worst storm in Nova Scotia since White Wan... and its spring ()__())
Good Stuff -- WOW !!!!!
Seems like an average day in Winnipeg
This title was very misleading...
That's some reality TV!
They were almost gone with the wind.
Even the wind hate reporters.
I heard David Suzuki has a chubbie for Olivia Chow. It's not too soon is it?
why did they have to go outside?
I read that these two guys were going to get "blown" off camera, & I thought something completely different was going to happen! My mistake!
Storms are now comparable to hurricanes!
Props to the windscreen on that mic aha!
The weather station reported that their video went viral, and showed it again lol.
what is with meteorologists standing out in dangerous weather? i just don't get it!!!
They were getting the feel for our South East winds
ahhh...
That's messed up.
Canada
There's a couple ways to interpret someone being "blown" off-camera..
Praise the canuck gods.
Get inside guys!!! Geeeez!!
160 k winds 😱 horse crap in possible to stand . I've been in a heracane 😳 I was hiding behind a concrete wall
it was quite the storm, put out extra food for the birds who were protecting themselves in the holly bushes and the rhododendron, also the fir trees (rock-a-bye-birdie in the high wind)
I must be a nerd since I thought they meant Blizzard, the game company, was revealing something new.
north strong
It was pretty bad, expect last night. There still clearing up the roads and sidewalks
K not what it thought it was gonna be
I don't like that they have to risk reporters like that just so people can get the sense of what is going on. I think that just announcing the winter storm warning is dangerous, should be enough. Or videotaping it from inside a building...
I don't know whether to laugh or be concerned… You guys should come visit us in Canada. You know, igloos and maple syrup.
Poor guys!
Keep pumpin that bitumen then eh
Atleast he got the Goose
*DAMMIT ELSA*
pretty funny when they went off camera lol
lol I don't think the wind blew them over but the break in the wind bec they were already leaning into it lol
lol i was watching this on tv hahahahaha
*CANADA, FUCK YEAH!*
wait....wait... i think i can see the sun too!!
They must have really screwed up to get that story.
I think tomorrow I am going to drive around with my convertible top down lol, glad I don't live there
No, this is Grand Etang, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. I lived there and remember when they aired it here. We all died laughing. Its a very windy area there. Thats why they call it Mother Winds. The Cabot Trail. And ignore the trolls. They are home jobless and bored. Lol
Ahh spring
this was recorded in western cape breton this is just a typical winter storm here its what they now refer to a nor easter
Philip, it's southeast winds, you get one a week on average during the winter months but it's not everywhere that gets these types of wind, western Cape Breton and up north more, on average you have gusts of 150+km per hour and it lasts on average 2-3 hours, last week, for example, they had windspeeds of 187 km per hour, in miles per hour that would be 120 clicks...note: there are no houses with bay windows on that side of the house, lol.
Einstein's theory of Relativity.
wow
