Really surprising news and to hear they're going for reissues of the classic figures and items and packaging. Recreating these complex vehicles will be a challenge for their team and a lot of work to complete. Great news as M.A.S.K. was my favorite line of all time growing up. Hopefully they're affordable and reasonably priced. $49.99 for Thunderhawk, $29.99 for Condor, $69.99 for Rhino, etc.
Although I have reproduced the entire set of 41 sets (including vehicles and base scenes) with Lego bricks at a scale close to the original. But still glad to see this news. Of course, I won't be collecting any versions of {M.A.S.K.} anymore, but I'd still love to see this childhood memory shine again.
I’m excited about this, and my son will be too! He loves MASK and plays with the only two that I had as a kid: Condor and Raven. He has asked me for a couple years now why I can’t get more MASK toys-well, now it looks like I can! Just like everything we grew up with in the 80s, MASK has generational appeal.
Literally every single time i look at the various Jurassic Park dinosaurs in Target my mind immediately goes to Dino Riders. Contemplated getting someone to do a few custom 3D sculpts I could 3D print to use....
From the way Ace from Ramen Toy made it sound in one of his recent streams, I think he was under the impression his company was getting the license to produce official M.A.S.K. pieces! I hope that he still does!
No, from the tone of Ace's last few streams, they were in negotiations to get the M.A.S.K. license (or at least release under the M.A.S.K. banner). In the latest stream, he mentioned they're working to expand the brand of Makina, similar to things being done with titanium titans (or whatever his silverhawks line is called). Basically, also use other products to expand the lore and scope of areas the Makina name/brand could reach like comics/storylines/backgrounds. Once I heard they were going to expand the Makina brand, that was an alert that they didn't get the M.A.S.K. deal. Either way, I take comfort in that not being an excuse to further delay the great white shipments, especially since I already paid for two.
Series 1 vehicles + MANTA will sell. That said, i already own them all 😮 I think most people that are really into mask already have some season 1 vehicles.
The statement quoted (3:59) said, _"...in the same scale."_ Since M.A.S.K. figures were between 2.5" --> 3" whereas BST AXN were 5" figs with a bunch of accessories and a lot of articulation, it's not hard of a reach to think it'd be approx $10 per M.A.S.K. figure. Admittedly, I think his hope for M.A.S.K. two-packs to be $10bucks is a pipedream, nonetheless since Mcfarlane's page puncher 2packs at that under 3-inch size are about $17 bucks, I'd imagine the loyal subjects releases to be about the same price (although I'm hoping for more articulation than the original M.A.S.K. figs... years ago, I was getting a bunch of the joytoy 1/24, 1/27 & 1/28 figs, and overtime, that became more and more expensive).
Ace was working on getting the license so he was holding out on shipping it out. If he got the license it’s going to be official MASK packaging. He’s make videos and instagram posts awhile ago about this letting people know.
@@jjsheets330 thanks. I’m not on IG but I did watch several of his videos about a month ago and never saw anything in those. YT hasn’t been putting anything Ramen related in my feed recently, so I’ve probably missed it.
So exciting!!! I’m 12 years old forever!! Lol I love how TLS also modernized Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite with additional articulation and accessories, while respecting the OG look and style. I am sure it will be the same with these newly announced franchises!
HOPEFULLY, when they bring back MASK, they make them in the 4 inch variety, along with their vehicles. If they do, not only would they have dibs on my wallet, but it would OPEN the door to Tens of Thousands of others that shied away from them because of the diminutive size and miniature stature.
They do the BST AXN stuff, which touched on various properties. I wouldn't be surprised if only super7's ReAction line is the only one that did/does more properties. Aside from BST AXN, (quite possibly before they started BST AXN) they did miniature, but big head, blind box figures for lines like Thundercats, MOTU, TFs, Power Rangers, Megaman, etc.
I just bought the dvd set lol I would buy as long as they aren’t over priced. Also I think mask died when they went to doing the racing thing vs what it started out as just like Joe when Dic took over
This is exciting news, but I don't know if it means we should expect remakes of the vintage vehicles. Perhaps they'll make all new ones. I think I'd prefer that, because then we could get more modern cars. Imagine a Ford Raptor, Corvette, Viper, Nissan GTR, Pagani, Mclaren, Aston Martin, Trophy truck, rallycross, Ducati.. I'd be far more excited by all new vehicles than the same old 80's cars. And they would have more appeal to kids than cars from half a century ago.
I'm in. I didn't collect these as a kid because of Transformers and GI Joe, but my friend had them and I loved them. I have said for years that my idea for them to keep cost down would be to do the vechicles like Transformers, which would mean no springs or firing missiles. I would love them to be exact replicas of the originals, but the part count and complexity of construction could put them into prohibitively expensive territory. Either way I am on this hype train.
Even though it's The Loyal Subjects, I'm still extremely pumped. Thank God M.A.S.K. is getting love again. Hopefully this goes well and you never know what could happen (movie)
Ill have to see it in person. Hasbro could of done it in at least 3.75 scale. The transformers/gi joe is umder $100 and comes with a figure. I dont want reissues of the original mask. Its cool but not for me,i would want something updated/upgraded. Also,if this is going to be "affordable" AND at retail its going to be a scalpers dream
as a person that no longer has MOST of my MASK toys, i would love a new and hopefully stronger series (some of mine were easy to break due to thin plastic)
I sincerely hope that they don’t cheap it up. Go full nostalgia…inserts etc. CHROME THE PIPESand grills! I’d hate for them to go to the trouble of doing the RHINO, gator, jackhammer etc and having cheap dull grey plastic 😮
I have already committed to Ramen Toys - who I hope can do at least Season 1 & 2 items. I think they’ll be the “masterpiece” version to this new mob who got the licence. But in the end, it’s great to hear someone commit to bringing M.A.S.K back.
I hope the vehicle’s hat all have clear glass and are all two Cedars sides the Indy race cars. And I hope the split second lines come with the regular vehicle and then they make two separate vehicles that they’re not actually split. I hated that. But I guess people love that too. I don’t know anyways thumbs up forever. Now they need to get the transformer license to do the same scale as my ass what we always want it and then G I Joe.
About time.. Everything Else has been exhausted.. And this is an excellent line to mess with.. Transforming vehicles, Guys with cool outfits and mask that do different things. Not just for old fans.. Great fun factor
I'm completely fine if you have to do it yourself instead of spring loaded gimmicks that over time and use would mess up. Everyone that wants spring loaded for missiles must forget how after time those things fire off themselves and that loses missiles easily. no thanks,
While I'm happy that someone has the licence for MASK, and while I agree that Ramen Toy Makina products aren't cheap, Makina is not only cartoon accurate, but Ramen is releasing the Shark, albeit as the Great White, as well as cartoon accurate versions of Scott, T-Bob and the Manta, and the engineering is superior to Kenner's. So I'll going to take a wait and see approach rather get my hopes up
Everyone is scared of reissuing M.A.S.K due to the complexity and cost of recreating the vehicles despite them being very popular. Ramen have done a nice job but its not licensed (Boo!!!) and there turnaround is too slow and you need to sell a kidney to afford even the early bird prices. Do Loyal Subjects have the skill needed to reissue these correctly at an affordable price point, i hope so.
@@dextereason-rl3kj long time ago it was women’s appreciation day and he posted a pic and said happy women’s day all of our women figures and I was like your missing Aisha from power rangers the movie he took down my comment erased it and blocked me from the account. M.A.S.K comeback is the best news in the toy world in a longtime. Lets make it easy to get and priced fairly please.
I hope so. Most attempts have failed , like the movie
I'm looking forward to this Loyal Subjects M.A.S.K toy line...but price will be key. Nostalgia wont get me to overpay.

Because it’s loyal subjects I’m skeptical of the quality. Maybe they’ll surprise us.
