Praying for monastic vocations, both Orthodox and Catholic!
They are so beautiful. It is amazing how some can radiate so much love and light from the inside out.
I'm a protestant in RCIA, discerning joint the Church. The longer I pray about it, the more I suspect God isn't going to give me some light bulb moments and yell, "Yes, you should become Catholic" at me. I suspect it's going to come down to a decision that I have to take responsibility for, but that somehow God will still be active therein. Please pray for me. My wife hates the idea and will never accept it apart from a miracle. I fear the rift this could cause in my family. But if it becomes clear that I should become Catholic, I'm going to.
May the Lord bless your marriage, your family, and guide them all to the truth of His Holy Catholic Church by your example.

In such a case the civil authority has nothing to do in the matter.” (De Wette II, 459, ibid., pp. 329-330.) and mutilated seven books from the Bible (with all the protestant sects using his mutilated canon with 66 books instead of 73) as if a german rebel monk heresiarch was someone to mutilate God's word arbitrarily; all in the in the 16th century, more than 1,500 years after Jesus & the Apostle, with no connection to them, and in opposition to the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church that does and always did, by being the Mystical Body of Christ that wrote, compilated, safeguards and interpret Holy Scripture (complete, with 73 books) and He Himself founded and promised in St. Peter (St. Matthew 16,16-19) who became the first Pope.

Hey, buddy. I'm in a similar boat, but not married. I've felt a draw to the Catholic church for a very long time and especially to monasticism. I've been really battling with it the past couple years trying to figure out where I stand. I just want to say that I think the most important thing is patience; sometimes things seem really convincing, but if we just give it a little more time we'll find some better data. On the other hand, if the Lord calls you to do something you don't like, do it. The riches of Christ which you'll find will outweigh all the pain. I'm working at a Calvary Chapel Bible College, and I know that if I keep going down this road I'll have to leave, and they will express concern for my soul. That's painful! But The Lord has really been speaking to me that it would be worth it if He calls me to it. But BE PATIENT. Some good protestant speakers are Jordan B. Cooper, Gavin Ortlund, and Dr. James White. Please don't make a sudden decision based on emotion or disillusion and look thoroughly into all these things. I will be praying for you Tim. Please pray for me as well, and may the Lord bless you and keep you.

Stumbled upon Mother Theodora and Christ the Bridegroom Monastery in 2018 whilst on a ramble through Amish Country. Wasn't expecting a Ruthenian Greek-Catholic nunnery in the middle of nowhere.

It’s interesting cuz I understand the importance of obedience but I can hear the fear that people would have hearing that. People are afraid to obey to something that could be wrong but they’ll obey there every desire as if that’s not wrong too so people will try to escape submission but they are always doing it
