Yep our dehydrator goes down to 95F. If drying in an oven that would cook them even on lowest setting. Air drying is fine if you watch for mold. As for tea, of course there's heat but it doesn't need to be too high. I suppose you could steep them cold. I do that with hibiscus.
Well done great bargains, If you grow sweet potatoes you can also eat the plants leaf in stir fry and stew etc, keep your tree leaves you raked for your compost pile, free compost 😊
Great clean up in the garden. I need to do that but am waiting for cooler weather. The temps are back up here. Super finds with the grocery mark downs. That fruit had my mouth watering.😋 Have a joyous week, my friend.🤗🍂
We’ve just returned from vacation in London. I have been following you for some time now. And thank you for introducing me to the “yellow stickers” we were able to find several good deals even in London at the Sainsbury’s local and the Tesco express stores. So glad that I learned this from watching your channel!🙂
It always amazes me that the brie cheese is perfectly ripe when they reduce it in price. I always look for yellow stickered double cream...... then make my own butter from it and use the buttermilk for baking.
Nice video Jill and super little crop of potatoes.Loved your bargains from Morries its so satisfying to find some reductions in the supermarket isn't it.Best wishes from Rosemarie in Norfolk.😊
Nice harvest 🥔🥔🥔👍 I harvested some from a similar pot last week as well. They were delicious. My St. John's wort needs a new pot as well. I got some for free 🤗 Now I can pot up many plants before winter. You have such a big choice of food that it's difficult to decide what to have for tea 😅 Take care 🌻
Just come across your videos and I liked your soothing voice immediately…not to mention your content. So I’ve subscribed immediately. My crops have been disappointing this year. My brassicas were good as were my runner beans, but everything else was poor. My tomatoes were the worst ever in the 30 years I’ve been growing them. 😢
Thank you and welcome, I post frugal living videos through the week and Sundays I like to get out in nature and relax and my Sunday videos reflect this. 🌸
I’m too envious of your Morrisons bargains! I can’t get to the shops in the later part of the day to get the cheaper reductions. Pleased it’s not going to waste at least 😊
😂 I am up at 4 am. It is for peace Jill! Canberra is mental right now. We just had an Election, my in laws arrived 😢 and bloody Charles and Camilla popped in for a visit😂 what the bloody hell are the King and Queeny doing here blocking the traffic? I can't call Camilla Queen, so I call her Queeny. That lady needs a bloody medal for putting up with Charlie boy. It just isn't the same as the Queen HR. I measured the potato bags and they are 75 cm 😮 in growth. It isn't even summer!! The leaves are awesome, so stick some in a garbage bag before they blow away. I will let you know if these huge potato bags produce.. That is the question really. My mouth drools at those cheeses. 😛 The UK has so much wonderful produce. We are nearly through the Capricorn Pluto! Phew. It goes direct on 3rd and 4th of November so buckle up! It is a monkey poo fling forecast. Take you fan for SHTF!😂 I have stocked up and intend not to leave the house after the 25th. I am only watching a selection of media too. It is going to go insane. It leaves November 19th for 240 years thank goodness. It is about top down power. King Charles and the Election were enough for me. 😊😊Belinda
@@BeFree-BeFrugal yes, I hope it works! You know the only reason Australian's put up with the monarchy is that we didn't want to hurt the feelings of the Queen. No one really cares, that is the inside joke!🤣
Strawberry leaves have vitamin C. We collect them, wash & then dehydrate them to use in herbal tea.
Great tip 👍
Heat breaks down vit c. Better in a smoothy?

@@vinlago cold would be good. I love hibiscus. It’s so tasty like cranberries.
@@CMSCK hmm I hadn't thought of that but it makes sense! Both are tart & delicious.
Delicious bargains at Morrisons! Nice job with the garden clean up..there always seems to be more waiting for us tomorrow :) lol

Super bargains and good potato crop. 😁👍💚
Thank you 🌸
Fantastic big garden you have there to grow stuff 👍🏻
It’s communal for the flats I live in that’s why I plant in containers
Just discovered your channel. I like that you have a lot of plants in pots. Definitely one to watch.x
Thank you
Now I've seen this, I have a mind to try growing potatoes myself - it looks fun!
It is, it’s like opening a present seeing the harvest 😃
Nice cleanup of the pots and lawn.
Great bargains at Morrisons.

Bit of therapeutic outdoor jobs and a good little haul .
Hope you’re doing okay 💜💜💓

I’m too envious of your Morrisons bargains! I can’t get to the shops in the later part of the day to get the cheaper reductions. Pleased it’s not going to waste at least 😊
I’ve been to Aldi mid afternoon and seen 75% off stickers
I live in California and your grocery prices astound me! So inexpensive. That fruit platter is about $12 here.
Yes it’s interesting to see how prices vary
Well your Morrisons has much better reductions than ours.
Yes, but sometimes there’s not much there
The soil costs more than the potatoes would at a grocery. I had that realization this year😂
Yes it would be , I got mine free
@@BeFree-BeFrugal perfect. I try to reuse all my soil.
Try growing your potatoes directly in your soil. They will be bigger.
I would but the grounds of the flats are communal
Bloody hell thats an incredibly cheap haul! 😮 it’s never like that in S. Wales!!!!
Yes it’s just certain supermarkets here too
We get NO REDUCTIONS like that in the US..they must throw it out as it’s never on sale….
That’s such as shame 🌸
I'm in the US. They donate food to the food pantry. I do see a few markdowns in meat, but I don't eat meat.
I washed mine and put them in the fridge
Yes I’ve done the same
What area of the country do you live. I am in the south of England.
I’m in Yorkshire
@@BeFree-BeFrugal ah my sister lives in Yorkshire. I’m a pensioner and I find your channel seems at my pace in life.x
@@BeFree-BeFrugal I thought your accent had a pleasant familiarity - I'm from N.E Lancs (the bit that borders both North and West Yorks). xx
Hi, the food that you get with the use by date , when the date is up, do you mostly freeze it.? To keep it longer. ❤
I eat it that or the next day.. breakfast dinner and tea . Such a saving. But use your own judgement
Getting all that meat at bargain/cut prices how do you preserve them. You obviously cannot eat them all at once.
I use my judgement, but I will eat it usually that or the next day. for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they are such good deals

Don’t eat the green ones
