I had the same issue with Fahrenheit 451 and all of Bradbury's works, for that matter. You're so close to finishing; just gotta power through! This vlog was fantastic btw. The vibes, the editing, the structure. All great. And I like that you gave us a little look at wherever you are (the Netherlands?). It's so beautiful over there. I'm from Los Angeles, so I'm so used to all the scenery around me being objectively ugly, but wherever you are looks so much like where my heart wants to live.

I read F451 like a decade ago when I was a preteen. All I remember was being amazed that the author imagined modern earphones/AirPods as little seashells that go in your ear and I thought that was so cool

As a student in the last semesters of uni that needs to start an internship and thesis soon to get my degree, in the middle on a pandemic, honestly I am in despair as well (and a bit scared as well). But it kind of helps to know we're not alone out there, and that it's ok if we struggle with it, but we can do it little by little and always take breaks to be happy about the snow :)
Fahrenheit 451 is actually one of my favorite dystopias, especially compared to 1984, which I genuinely hated. I need to reread both of them because it's been a few years, maybe I'll come back and be able to give you some genuine reasons for my like/dislike of either. Loved this video! I'm reading the Shadow and Bone trilogy for the first time at the moment. It really checks all the YA fantasy boxes and I gave the first two books "only" 3 stars each... but for some reason I feel really protective and attached to the series hahahaha. I don't want to hear people bashing it, so I am scared of your reread. I'd love to see a reading vlog on it though 🖤
lmao i feel the same way! objectively i see a lot of issues with it/things that could’ve been done better but it honestly doesn’t bother me at all and i got super attached to the world and characters. also everyone hating Mal genuinely upsets me LIKE WHY? lmao

How could there be hate on Mal! 🥺❤️ The Darkling is one thing, but Mal has done everything for her (I do think that first kiss should’ve been later on in the series tho).

it's actually really common for delivery services or the post service to deliver it to their next closest location and not to your neighbour in north america. I grew up in germany where packages would be left with the neighbour, and then when I moved to north america it was so fricking annoying to have to go pick up my packages at stores. I think there are more problems with theft, that's why they don't entrust it to the neighbours
for anyone wondering an 8.5 in the Netherlands is like an A / 7/ first in the uk (this could be too high or too low but i think its sort of around the right area)
I might take a leaf out of your book and turn a small part of my room into a coffee shop/reading spot. :-) January in England is...miserable for many reasons but it was my 50th Birthday on Tuesday, which - obviously - I spent on my own in my room. I did call lots of people, so that was nice. But I got LOADS of books either directly or because friends sent me book tokens. I now have a book storage problem. But that's an OK problem to have.
