Esther’s skin is glowing! She is so beautiful. Dahlias are my favourite flowers. Also did you know that if you freeze your berry’s for an hour or so flat on a tray then bag them they won’t all freeze together in one clump. Good if you just want a few out at a time and not a whole bag.
Hello beautiful friends. The flowers are gorgeous, I love the colors. Blessing to you ladies and your family. Thank you for taking the time to share the beauty on your homestead. Please don't forget to rest and take care of yourselves. ❤
Thank you for posting a video even though you must be exhausted! Your videos fill hearts with joy and give glory to God for all of his creation. I am hoping to add Dahlias to my homestead next year. Thank you for sharing their beauty!
Hello dear friends. That’s an early morning! Thank you for posting this video, especially when you’re tired. I love the Strawberries and Cream collection. I am tempted to say you love Dahlias. Some lovely colors! The seed Dahlias add excitement and energy. You had an afternoon’s work ahead of you! Your canning turned out beautifully. Great idea for preserving parsley! Sending you both a hug. 🌸🌸🌸💕
The Dahlias are so pretty!! Love them in a vase. You ladies have worked so hard growing veggies and flowers.. The can tomatoes look yummy. Hope You can get some rest. Blessings toe all of your family..❤
I last year decided to plant my yellow squash and my zucchini squash in large tomato cages. So the squash literally grows upwards. It hangs out the sides and the top of the cage . You must make the cages super big, especially with the zucchini. I plant yellow ball from Bakers Creek. Last year we made the cages too small so we enlarged them this year and they did much better.
I Dream of arches for my zucchini , squash, small pumpkins and of course cucumbers. Also for blackberries intertwined with clematis❤❤ A girl can dream. It would probably be nice for tomatoes also . It gives so much more space when you have a small garden. A big wall for strawberries would also be nice😊
enjoyed your video love all your Dalias there Beautiful and I would have to agree with you about the Squash bugs It has been crazy with them this season I do the same just Squash them every time I am out in the garden that squash Variety you mentioned I well definitely have to try growing It next season and the Habert variety I well have to try that one as well as a Trap like you did for the squash vinebour I planted two better nut squash plants and I was able to save one plant I think that,s pretty good on my part
One of these days I have to go through all of your dahlia videos, along with “the garden answers” videos on dahlias and write down the ones I really want to see if I can get them obere here. 😊 I usually just buy small low ones to put in pots on my veranda . But I’d love to have them in the garden. I’m worried it’ll be a huge job for me to dig them up and I don’t have no idea how to store them without them freezing. My shed will be way to cold during winter. I can’t store potatoes there either sadly😢. I need to isolate better and get some sort of heating in there. And throw out the big freezers and fridges I don’t need anymore now that I’m an empty nester..
I love all your dahlias. Mine decided this year to rot instead of grow after I planted the toes. Could have been too much rain. I have been saving the same plant for at least 5 years. It was a dark pink almost red variety. Will get some new ones next year! My 4 O'clocks have done amazing and I have been replanting the same roots for 3 years now!
Look at Starry Hilders videos for drying your herbs and celery, etc. She is a master canner too and she teaches how on her videos. She is a strong believer in the Lord and you will learn a lot from her. Blessings to you and family.
Squash bugs…I greatly reduced their numbers to almost nothing because I took a “year of jubilee” and didn’t plant any squashes one year. The eggs hatched and didn’t find food so they left and never planted eggs in my garden that year. Worked really well!
Lettuce are only edible in the middle of summer here. If I seed them in the spring or fall, they most likely freeze or get bitter or bolt because of the cold..
That's so interesting. We have the opposite situation here. I don't think ours have ever bolted from cold, as they love the cooler spring and fall temperatures. We do use covers to protect them from the frost though. Blessings.❤
With the squash bugs I found a battery powered hand vacumn is good for gathering them. I tried feeding to my chickens and they don't seem too excited to eat them sadly.
What an early start! Are you a coffee drinker? We love cacao over here for those early morning starts...what is a squash bug if you get a chance to reply? Your dahlias are beautiful Esther, thanks for sharing.. 🌸
I enjoy coffee and Dandy Blend mixed, so that I don't get too much caffeine. Squash bugs destroy squash plants. They lay their eggs on the leaves and the larva eat the leaves and weaken the plants. They multiply very quickly and are difficult to get rid of. Blessings to you.
Just a general question. I have dried beans, and soak them overnight. In the morning there still hard. Soup season is coming soon. I'd like to add them to all my soups/stews
You all have a amazing garden. The Gluten free pasta is delicious. Recently purchased because of dietary situation. If you have any gluten recipes please let me know if it was shared on a video.
I hope going gluten free helps you. I'm not much of a recipe person, but I do have a few gluten free recipes in our Homestead Kitchen Playlist. Blessings.❤
We don't have many slugs where we are at, so I don't have any experience with prevention, but I hope someone will see your comment who does. Blessings.❤
Beautiful Ester, makes my heart happy ❤ Blessings to you all.
you have the most beautiful flowers

The garden is like a painting. Also, would you consider putting the names next to all the flowers and plants you show?
💜

Actually the name of the yellow squash was lemon squash. They are round but they taste exactly the same.

Great idea with the vacuum.🙂 Our chickens don't like the either.
My beautiful neighbor always grew dinner plate dahlias so gorgeous 🌺🌸🌼🥹❤️

❤👍🏼👍🏼🙂
Ester pie gets prettier and prettier ❤❤
My Dahlias have suffered from the slugs, with the leaves and even the flowers being eaten. Do you have any tips for preventing this?
We don't have many slugs where we are at, so I don't have any experience with prevention, but I hope someone will see your comment who does. Blessings.❤
