True, but aerial photography shows that enormous landslides happen all the time in the New Guinea highlands, even in areas that have never been logged.

Local media is reporting over 3,000 dead. No sympathy here, papuans should know what it’s like to be oppressed. So it’s shameful and disgraceful seeing that papua is very pro Israel. papua opened an embassy in occupied Jerusalem, and voted against the rights of the Palestinian people, papua also voted against granting a Palestinian state. You reap what you sow.
What is the most reputable charity to send money to? I’d like to send a charitable gift to help but don’t want to be scammed with a bogus charity scam. So sorry for your losses. Environmental disasters are often manmade and can take decades to reveal themselves and then take years to heal themselves after the disaster.
