Justin, I think you played a very strong first game. The training that you do for your other videos clearly shows. It seemed that Fajari was nervous against you, but calmed down the second set. So I actually think the skill level was very close. The only real difference I saw was the smash power between you two. Fajari also has a very good forehand slice drop. Even though you are primarily a defensive player, I hope you can develop some successive offensive combinations that will keep pressuring the opponent. I felt that this might have kept the pressure on Fajari, making him nervous longer.
I think Fajari also had very strong footwork, his movement on the court was crisp in this game. I also think both sides were not confident in the first set but I feel it's easier to play offensive when nervous rather than a defensive control game since there is much less room for error. Agreed on all other points.
thanks vincent! i definitely need to put in a lot more work on my offensive follow up shots (especially the common smash kill pattern), and some more work on my upper body to have higher impact smashes!
thanks for watching! i think there is a lot to improve on my end in terms of strategy, patience, and shot quality, but it was definitely a game that could have been won. i'll keep working hard on it :)
Why do you use a double serve for singles? There's a reason people invented a single serve. The point in singles is to move around your opponent. You will probably score more points with that serve. And I am sure that a high level badminton player like you knows how to do the single serve, I don't understand why you are using the double serve.
@@yodaisthebestSWcharacter there aren't many men's singles players who use the forehand high serve anymore because it lets the opponent get into offense too easily. Especially against a strong opponent
I thought 5:15 was out too 😆 so was surprised to see that
hahaha me too... but all the audience kept saying it was in :(

Great game thank you for sharing ! Do you feel that you lost because of the opponents skill level or what was the reason ?

What are you on about? There's nothing wrong with his serves, do u mean a 'Forehand high serve'?
@@cheahwh95 Yes, the forehand high serve. There's nothing wrong with the double serve, but I am trying to say that he should use the high serve.

@@bigballermentality7794 If your serve is good enough you will have more than enough time to prepare for the smash. And block it.
@@yodaisthebestSWcharacter you're probably just a low level, go watch any professional men's singles and tell me who's serving high
