Here's a quick presentation of our Tudor Pelagos 39mm placed side by side with our beaten up Rolex Submariner.
This video took us about 30mins to shoot.
We used basic lenses to try and achieve professional results to the best of our ability, but we're very limited with the specified gears.
We used a small Sachtler Ace tripod, rated more than adequate for Sony FX30 camera weight, but the movements are still pretty lousy. The FSB series of fluid head are way better in terms of control and precision.
For lenses, we used basic entry-level Sony 18-105mm, 55-210mm and 30mm Macro.
Manual pull focusing was so bad because these are fly-by-wire servo driven lenses, and we had to use touch AF focusing. Result is a totally bad rack focusing look in our opinion.
Key point to making this video is to showcase to our clients how the end video product will look when things are done or shot using inadequate video equipment. The same adage of 'Fast, Cheap & Good', choose two.
