@MsVoolfy Koalas claws do not retract but are out all the time: this would make it difficult for them to hold onto a bottle. In any case, it's not something we would want to teach them to do; they are fed the formula at the hospital to build their strength, but then the formula is ceased prior to their release.
Koalas always seem to chilled out, do aggressive ones exist? I understand they have pretty strict dietary requirements (eucalyptus leaves etc). I only ask on the outside 1000-1 chance that i might have one as a pet. They seem to have a friendly disposition towards humans, but wondered how that would work legally? I would love to have a Koala wandering around my house and garden.
It's my understanding that it's illegal to have them as pets anywhere. They are an endangered species. Also, If you do some more investigating, I think you'll find they really don't make ideal pets. They are nice to visit but you don't want to take them home. I've learned a LOT about koalas just watching videos available on-line. There are times when they are aggressive. Usually it's between males during the mating season. Typical in nature..
