It was a sign of the press catching up to the fact the Enigma era fucking died, go on Devo Live Archive and you can see that some of the posters for the 1980 FOC tour still presented AWNM/Duty Now photos rather than pictures from the FOC era, i think that's what's going on here, poor press handling.

Why did they need permission from the Stones to do their cover of Satisfaction? That makes no sense.
There used to be restrictions on parody songs, and Warner considered their cover a parody
