The B6 Pro uses mobile hardware, so the EFI's linked from OCAT won't be suitable, as they're only for desktops. The BMax B6 Pro is basically identical to a 2020 Intel MacBook Air - it has the exact same CPU and iGPU - so it should be easy to get working. I would suggest looking for an Ice Lake laptop EFI on Github to use as a starting point and just remove the things you don't need, like battery management, trackpad, keyboard backlight kexts and so on.
Hi there, new subscriber here. I would like to know if I can use my old i3 4150 (Hashwell cpu) for this Hackintosh build? Thank you and more power to your channel.
You can but you'd have to spoof the HD 4400 iGPU device-id to HD 4600. In Device Properties, under PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0), add AAPL,ig-platform-id with the value 0300220D and device-id with value 12040000. And then use OpenCore Legacy Patcher after installation to get graphics acceleration.
Doesn't Apple stop the OS from working on unofficial machines after updates? Plus is there a safe way to get older Mac OS? I found a website with them but am not sure if they are safe to use.
The only safe way to get macOS is to download it directly from Apple. They have direct download links for macOS Lion 10.7 through Sierra 10.12 on their website, and you can download High Sierra through Ventura from the Apple Content Delivery Network or by using the gibmacOS script.
