Without doubt one of the very best in his field,,, A true genius !

Hi, thank you for your comment : ) It's always great hearing my work is appreciated. We only filmed one session and it was ten years ago so I can't remember exactly why we didn't film more. It wouldn't have been difficult since he was my next-door neighbour at the time lol
I may close down this UA-cam channel within the next year or so as I am working towards being more professional in my filmmaking. As part of that process, I have made a portfolio website to replace this channel and re-edited a lot of old work to make it better. Here is the new version of this documentary. It has improved music, title fonts, HD picture cutaway, new footage of his art and cleaner sound:

I love Jim Burns, tried to imitate his work many times but failed miserably. I’d give my right arm to spend a day with him.
Hi, thanks for your comment! Give it more time and practise and who knows - maybe you will be able to create art in his style or perhaps your own style will formulate in time. Either way, I am sure you will create wonderful art.
@@BenSwornProductions lol maybe , I went to university to study illustration but didn’t work hard enough. Maybe when I retire in thirty years or twenty five years I’ll have the time. Thank you for your encouragement and this wonderful video.

I thought he worked in acrylics with an airbrush on all his book cover work in the past, but he said he did oil paintings for blade runner?

I 100000% prefer painted / air brushed sci fi art of the 80s.... The modern CGI art, is cool, but it's somehow soulless ....
