I am very fortunate in that I have found Kingsley pedals and my Victory amp. I have not wanted another pedal since. Even when I hook up my favorite pedals....I almost always end up with them turned off except for The Maiden. I have never been happier that I no longer have the urge to buy new pedals. ...But I won't stop watching your vids.....Your playing is spectacular. Cheers.
Kingsley tube pedals are the ultimate tone machines! I wish I had a few!!! It would be hard to go back to any analog solid state drive pedals....and that's saying a lot, as there are many really good ones out there!!!!!
@@markholmes2665 I just said yesterday only thing that would pull crazy tube circuits off my board is Kingsley. Oh yea, and my kids leaving the house😅. CTC is my absolute favorite company they just do everything I like the way I like it. And this channel is where I come to before I buy. Shawn just does everything I like like I like it!
Love the killer changes to this new tune Shawn. Great playing as always. This pedal seems like something I need to explore. Hmmmm. Great Robyn Ford quote in your playing Shawn. Stay well well.
Sounded Awesome Shawn, loved like Bluesy Vibes and showing a lot of the Features and i own the Crossfire Crazy Tube Circuits and love These line of effects Your Music-In-Law 🤘🎸🤠
Revisiting… in my excitement of one that’s on the way to my doorstep! Shawn, am I nuttz or is this one of the (if not THE) most perfect overall group of tones from a dirt box you’ve ever had on your channel. I’d be interested to know what you think could possibly top this… or even compare…(?) Dude, you rock!
Great video and tone as per usual! It's interesting that most of us "jazz" players don't use the jazz setting on the SSS setting. Only time it makes sense is with a fully hollow body. It mitigates the low end but if you're using the volume knob on the guitar, you will lose more of that bottom end on the jazz setting. I have enough D style pedals but I really love this CTC Unobtanium pedal. Thanks Shawn.
I have tried so many pedals and now use the Unobtainium on my 3 pedalboards. My big one,the middle size fly rig and the backpack fly rig. I love this pedal for all the reasons you expressed and is a 3 in 1 unit which is really versatile. I love the Unobtainium and have already ordered the Raw… but only one 🤣🤣
Which pedal is better in your opinion? The OG or this one? I’m more a fan of clean distortion if you understand. I hear an amazing amount of overtones which sound great!
Yeah great sounding pedal a bit pricey though - I went for similar type pedal (budget friendly) Nux Queen of Tone (2 circuits Klon & Blues Breaker) gets similar tones - great demo and playing!
Wheeeeww!! Some insane depth to the attack. Man, beside the always incredible fretwork, this is one of the most pure and perfect sounding drives I’ve ever heard on any demo, ever. Totally my wheelhouse!!! When will these be available?
Thanks for this test ! do you know if we can use any switch and not the special switch xt of crazy tube circuit to commute between sss and ods ? Thanks for your answer
It's a simple "latch function" switch, so I would think that anything within those parameters would work. Reach out to CTC to be sure. Thanks for watching!
@ 1:31... okay WTF!!? (hmmm, now if only I could slow it down to 1/100th, I maybe just might be able to figure out what you is DOIN' ?!?) The undecipherable-um on the UNOBTANIUM (just unbelievium)
The two pedals are voiced differently. If you really love "Marshall" sounds, the Kokopelli is great. If you lean towards "Dumble" overdrive, go with the Unobtanium. Both are great pedals.

@@markholmes2665 It's funny how different people are. I had the Maiden BF and Maiden D and sold both.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!

You are right. The crazy tube circuits sound good. But the kingsley pedals are unrivaled. But it's mostly also a matter of personal taste.
Sounds great ! But look who's playing it. Thanks Shawn now I want one.
sweet intro demo sounded like a bit of alan holdsworth and lee rittenhour great stuff
Love my Unobtainium and my Twimble Simble for dual drives .
That is some crazy edge of breakup! Even through all the different pickups! WOW!
Love the killer changes to this new tune Shawn. Great playing as always. This pedal seems like something I need to explore. Hmmmm. Great Robyn Ford quote in your playing Shawn. Stay well well.
Thanks so much, Sam!!
Astonishing playing Shawn!
Thanks Grant!
Great demo, very thorough! I liked that little Revelation reference!
Good catch my friend!! Robben was and still is a huge inspiration!
All makes perfect sense - thanks! This sounds interesting, for sure - it edges out the original a bit for me! Cool addition to the line.
Thanks so much!!
Fun little call response at 1:43 between guitar and bass! Great work as always, sir!!
Thanks!! The bass player is easily triggered so I try and stay out of his way!. Good ears my friend!!
@@ShawnTubbs HAHA!! Yeah, bass players are so temperamental... or just mental. I've heard it both ways. 😂😂

Well, this pedal has a lot to live up to and it sounded like it did to me! Love that Les Paul! Always killer playing Shawn! Very inspiring!

Bought the original pedal, sold it, regretted it, and now rebought it! This edition will in itself be unobtainable soon, LOL!
Throw the switch Igor!! Great pedal and as always great playing Shawn!
Haha, thanks so much!!
Love it. Great pedal and of course Great playing!
Thanks so much!!
Love to hear you play. Not a bad pedal.
This beautiful white Suhr looks very busy today :) Thanks Shawn!
I've had that guitar for a long time! Thanks so much for watching and for chiming in!

Agreed. It's all perspective. Within the parameters of that absolutely brilliant tone stack, you can shape things to sound and feel the way you want.

Wow; that’s an endorsement. Tx for sharing!
Sounds great! Must be the Dermanium Giodes that have the magic.😂
Dermanium is a scarce and precious commodity! Haha!
My fingers got scared watching the stretched in that opening tune! 😮

Good sounds and playing. The amp did sound very good already. What amp ?
Thanks! Friedman DS 40.
@@ShawnTubbs Thanks very much 👍😊
A great sound and a great demo as always. With your experience are we close to the sound of the two dumbels cities?
Thanks! I think CTC has done excellent work when it comes to that type of sound.
Awesome as always! How long on average does it take you to create all the non guitar parts (drums bass etc) of the songs you do for these demos?
Thanks! On average, from discovery to UA-cam upload, is 3 days. Sometimes longer.
Great playing and demo. Your LP looks and sounds amazing, is it an R10?
Thanks!! That guitar is an R9 but it's heavily modified.

Wow cool pedal and great playing as always Shawn 🎶That ODS setting is fat enough you could djent some metal with it LOL
Haha, I was thinking the same thing in the "demo" section of the video. Thanks!!
I really like it, but I like the Kokopelli too? Which one is better?

@@ShawnTubbs thank you Shawn!
Are you in drop D tuning? Didn’t figure you for a down tuned type of guy.
Yup, drop D for sure. "I'm Buzzed".
Shawn, what strings you play? Great playing!
Thanks for the questions. I've been playing D'Addario for over 30 years now.
