Shawn, this pedal sounds amazing and as always your playing takes it too another level I' been looking at analog delays lately and you just convinced with this pedal because it just seems to stay out of the way when you are playing solos etc. so I'am all in on this pedal anyway thanks for the great video as always!!!
That's some sweet playing Shawn! Don't hear you much on the ambient side. Excellent! Good delay tone is a hard thing to describe. But you know it when you hear it. It's how those trails taper off and a combination of the EQ and modulation. Many pedals have tried to emulate the old tape delays. Sounds like this pedal has done a great job of capturing that.
Thanks Shawn! ...and it's good that they provided a separate TAP button because I usually have problems when there is one common button for ON/OFF and TAP 🙃 . ....great, natural tape echo! ....and I'm already starting to look for interesting U2 tribute bands on YT
Just love your writing Shawn. Killer tones from this Jam Delay pedal. Shawn, what did you use to track the guitars (i.e. IR, Ox, or mixed cab)? I would love to see another in depth video on how you track guitars other than the UAD Ox box because the tones you achieve are sooooooo killer. Thanks so much Shawn. Please stay well.
Thanks so much Sam! With rare exceptions, I use my UA OX for pedal and guitar demo videos. I will use a "real" cab for amp demo videos. Bogner Closed Back 2x12 loaded with Cele V30 speakers. I always use a Royer 121/57 combo for mics. ua-cam.com/video/CRPsGscLWFI/v-deo.html Back when I was a crazy kid with a dream!! Haha..
Absolutely gorgeous intro track! (Similar vibe to the intro piece you did for a Royer R-122 mic some years ago, which I adored.) But I have to say, those whole-tone bends behind the nut (0:58-1:00) scare me! I know we all bend strings one and a half and even two tones out on the fretboard, but for some reason bending a string more than a half tone behind the nut just feels dangerous! Pedal sounds great, very warm and organic.
Thank you so much. And besides, you didn't want people to start calling you Shawn Stubbs. Oh yeah - and cool review! (Obviously Chuck Taylors should be the required pedal clog.)
You are a funny guy Shawn! and I hope somebody offers you an extravagantly and impossible to turn down gig for a U2 coverband!!😂 But seriously Jam Pedals make great sounding pedals eh? I think the THAT PEDAL SHOW guys may have a new pedal coming out with them,,,could be wrong,,usually am! Thanks for the demo!
Seagull next? Dotted 8ths 🤘🏽. not having a metronome when starting to learn i often used delay as a guide to keep time. that eventually led to using longer delay times and harmonizing with the repeats for some very cool sounding scale practices.
I primarily and pretty much only play with gain - rock and hard rock. I already have a couple of digital delays and I’m tempted by one of these, but I wonder if it’s wasted on a gainier tone like mine.
The Keeley has more control overall. Tone and Saturation controls and the ability to create multi-tape head style delays. It's a bit more modern sounding but incredibly versatile. The Jam is a faithful recreation of a "tape delay" sound with tap tempo and "hold" functions. Both are excellent sounding but different.
Hmm that’s some tasty OK Computer vibe in the opening track. Beautifully done.
Wow, let's just take a moment to soak in the beautiful haunting song at the intro.
You're very kind indeed!!
What a beautiful intro tune, thanks Shawn!
Wow that intro. Ambient radiohead vibes for days ❤
This series has such a useful and versatile sound for analog delay. The Delay Llama Extreme replaced my Timeline, and I haven't looked back.
Wow, beautiful intro!
play the delay Llama surpreme for over ten years.... i love it,it will never leave my board!

Very musical indeed. Although just stopping by for the guitar playing and cool vibes. 👍🏻🌟

That intro was just beautiful, man
Lovely sounding pedal, but as others have said, that opening track is fantastic! Needs to be heard by the wider world!
Shawn, you make it sound great, brother.

JAM pedals are so awesome. I want the delay but I did buy the Univibe and I love it! Nice demo

Great sounding delay.

You're very kind indeed. Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!
I have one and it's staying on my board!
Shawn makes Lysander cry. Tabs…please?
Save the drama, Shawn has a llama 🤘🏽

Hmmm.... It's all perspective... Thanks so much for watching!!
How does it differs from keley halo in terms of sound? 🤔
