Muhammad packed his bags and made the journey from his hometown in Thailand all the way to South Africa to study in Madrasa and Noor. This is the first-ever Islamic university purpose-built and designed for the visually impaired. It was there he met Sheikh Hassan, the visionary founder of the university. I am Hassan Abdul Qadir Marchi. I am born in South Africa. I became a Hafiz al-Qur'an in South Africa, and then I became an alim at Tarurum Falahi Dareen in Turkish World, in India. after graduating as an alim, when i came back to my country, in my town there was a school for the blind. And this was a circular school. And as is the tradition in our country, our muslim students attend the maktab, that is the basic islamic madrasa or school. Because they were blind, there was no facilities for them and they were attending the normal maktab for the normal students. And it was a very big load for the teachers at the normal maktab to teach them.
