The combine soldiers are using the only complete combine gun available in the entire Half Life Alyx asset base, there are no 'smg' or 'rifle' variants. I think the drop pod could easily fit 5 people, if not 8. Combines are brainwashed soldiers and comfort is not cared for, they can sardine pack a pod pretty easily. The zombies are xen creatures - I will make a video elaborating on their design. They are similar to a xen creature in Half Life Alyx, Jeff - who also does not have a head crab. The guns aren't glowing there is a light on the chest of every soldier. The radio not being on the back was a bug with S2FM, it deleted the backpack from the model. I did not see this as an issue as there are already variants within the combine- why not have an officer without a radio? And for the strider cannon - sure in the future I will use the correct barrel.

The strider is just amazing And I like to combine because Their point of view the want to get materials for a ever growing empire and the armor set is really cool
Looks great, except for the fact that the strider doesn't rapid fire small projectiles from it's warp cannon and most of those zombies have no headcrabs unless your trying to make up your own infection or something.
what's weird about is that sometimes the soldiers say random lines that doesn't relate to what is happening. Like when one of the ordinals said "Overwatch code 10-4, viscerator out." which means he deployed a manhack but he didn't deploy one while he was also just holding his position with the strider.
The animation here is amazing! It's too bad that it's really heavily hindered by the terrible camera work. Having the camera attached to the torso of the soldiers just made for a terrible viewing experience. If you were able to re-shoot it with fixed camera angles, I really believe that the film would drastically improve in quality. Also, it's a tad nitpicky but the soldiers leave from the wrong side of the dropship. You could have easily fixed this by just having the camera cut to either a from behind view or just by jumping ahead in time to the dropship leaving and a close up of the soldiers. Also the drop ship flew in way too fast it was kind of weird looking. On a more positive note, the sound design was fantastic and I really enjoyed the premise. I loved the creative liberties you took with removing the oxygen tanks and replacing them with lights, the light placement scene was bad ass. The combine terminal screen you made was SICK, like genuinely really cool. I was amazed by it. The choice in scenery and custom animations were overall very good. There were moments such as 2:45 where the custom animation was noticeable and a bit janky, but even still very well done. I know just how hard a custom animation like that is and you did a good job with it. Overall, you're a great animator and I hope you continue with your work, however, I really suggest looking up lessons on how to do camera work because the camera here was jarring, confusing, and detracted heavily from the experience. The best moments of the film were the ones where the camera stayed in one place.
The camera definitely sucked in this lol definitely something i did not like looking back, stay tuned for some more hl animations with alot more time put into them :)
although i love the animation , in some parts it is very nauseating like the camera being attached to the soldiers,bunch of flashy lights, i rlly think it looks good but maybe use less flashy lights and less jittery movements when you attach the camera to the soldiers? anyways all i have to say is that the beginiig and the strider parts look good, the dropship is a bit fast (needs to slow down much earlier when landing) over all looks great

I'm assuming there's two Ordinals because you wanted someone more elite than an Echo. If that's the case there's a Source 2 version of your regular Overwatch soldier and they may fit better than two command units in the future. Also this animation is stellar, just great

Ya the camera work is def too crazy in some parts. I fixed that along with improving alot of my lighting in this new series im working on.
