In all fairness to zero....he did somehow manage to survive being Samsoned
it was more delayed I think.
@@Warcodered01 I mean yeah he was still Samsoned again. Actually I don't know if that's more of an accomplishment or not? Having to be Samsoned twice.
Shame he died the second time. I liked zero.
he will become henchman 21 villain, or hero, nemesis to be exactly
Yeah, it does take a special kinda man to survive a fight with The Brockness Monster.
I have to admit the character development here has grown. Brock doctor venture hank dean the monarch all a great mix but 21 is my favorite
Lexx Guerrero Henchman number 1 was my favorite
Lexx Guerrero what episode is that
Lexx Guerrero it’s also sweet how he and the monarch have become friends
Yeah, Zero was definitely wrong about Gary not changing one bit.
Too bad we wont have an 8th season
Gotta love Shoreleave "I can't blame you for killing this guy before" this is why I love the character, he is so fun XD
Shore leave is an excellent character and frankly he's the best gay character ever.
The dude is a treat! Every time he's on screen he's just being amazing.
Good writing for gay guys is pretty rare, if you ask me.
He’s not wrong. Zero is so into himself.
You know, if the whole mystery behind 24's death is still unresolved (Season 3 Finale), Zero would be an ideal suspect. He's got the motive, experience, and background as Top man in the Monarch's ranks.
they said in season 5 that it was the murderous moppets who did the deed
No one murdered 24.
The Monarch put a bomb in Helper and Helper stowed away in the Monarchs car.
@@anthonyrodriguez8788 venturebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/Kevin maybe this could help
@@anthonyrodriguez8788 then how did Helper's head get into Brock's chest? If the bomb came from Helper his head would have been blown into the sky, the fact that it became shrapnel says the explosion originated somewhere else.
I know there was an explosive in Helper planted by the Monarch, but evidence says this is a red herring.
@@t.c.thompson2359 it was a bomb strapped to helper, there is no mistery to us the viewers, the mistery is only for 21 because he has no idea of what caused the explotion.
The entire mythos of Venture Bros. is about failure, and yet 21 is the most sane of all of them, Long Live Gary!
DetroitStorm i wouldn't call the guy who hallucinates about his dead friend the sanest one.
sanity is relative.
Gary learned from his failures and became better because of them.
tmage23
And that's why he is the best character in the series. He is the only one learning and trying to better himself from his failure.
Brock is functional, but sane? I mean, the guy's calling card in the early seasons was fits of rage where he killed dozens of people at a time. Remember when he wiped out an entire emergency room full of innocent people in "Return to Spider-Skull Island?"
From Death by Samson, to Death by Truckules....he's all over the mythological spectrum.
Tom Evans And then back to death by Samson.
Brock Samson Circle of Death, beautiful quilt of horrific ends.
So zero insists he’s not a henchman, but he still wears his Monarch henchman cowl?
Right?
He's the avenging henchman
Old scars run deep, they say.
Its symbolizes how we are blind to their tyranny.
It symbolizes he keep wearing a silly cowl to cover a bald spot.
wait, is he wearing a mask under a mask? Who Even Does That!?
BATMAN!

someoneyouusedtoknow 1 Soverign?
+HASEnoncorperated Zombie ninja David Bowie is my sensei! This is the best day ever!
HASEnoncorperated redhood
"Who the fuck is Zero? Who's a number for a name?"
Borderlands's Zer0, picking his head up from drinking his coffee, looking around like he's felt a disturbance
Megaman's Zero stops stabbing Mavericks in the face because he thought his instruments detected something.
If #21 wanted it he'd make a good villain. He perfectly understand how the game is played and has enough common sense to actually be effective.
he was actually given this option in the finale but decided it wouldn't be worth it if he couldn't do it with the monarch
On his own, 21 would be a serious force to be reckoned with, on par with the likes of Brock or Phantom Limb, but he just doesn’t have the drive to do it on his own.
@@raptorjesus3894 Which I think explains the dynamic between him and the monarch. The Monarch has enough drive to concoct an evil scheme too insane to work, and 21 is grounded enough to make it work anyway. Plus, I think without the Monarch whatever motivation 21 has to be a villain (henchman or otherwise) would evaporate and he'd probably just go back to working in a comic shop.
definitely, hes managed to take over leadership multiple times and instantly becomes a force to be reckoned with
I kinda wanted him and 21 to duke it out tho
I think 21 would've won that fight. He did far better against Brock in a serious fight than 0/1 did
@@InfernosReaper he did something that very few people do, he impressed Brock Samson to the point that he didn't kill him.
@@HighKingOfSkyrim37 I think it was less about 21's absolute strength as a fighter compared to Brock and more about the fact that he had improved himself so much from what he used to be that really impressed Brock and caused him to spare him. In this show full of characters that ooze failure and stagnation, this display of personal growth from 21 was like a breath of fresh air to Samson. At least that was the impression I got from the way Brock reacted to being knocked down after trying a repeat of what he did to 21 at the yard sale all that time ago.
Yeah between post-24 death 21 and Shoreleave you've got two of the most badass fighters on the show. Though 21 will usually pick the more logical, less 'heroic' option and also #1 didn't really deserve a good showdown bc he would have loved that
Zero’s level of anger at 21 for calling himself #1 should’ve been a dead giveaway to me on who he was.
Then again I watched his debut episode after this one so that didn’t help
I don't get how a superman like character could lose to a ex henchman.
Sonic Z TH he’s old, the sun isn’t fully out, and most importantly, he’s OLD
@@connormclernon26 You forgot to mention he's old.
@Veo Ghost I think you're forgetting how OLD he is.
@@LordTyph OLD
Also OLD.
So not only is Scott Hall wearing a mask under his Helmet, but it's also a part of the Monarch's Henchmen outfit?
I am Scott Hall, alright. My name is Scott Hall.
Now it’s just pathos
Takes off helmet. Has mask underneath.
FIGHT ME, ZERO!
LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'RE MADE---
UGH! OW! OH MY!
Hilarious "fight".
Great plan moron
It's terrible, but I could watch it on repeat XD XD.
Gets me everytime
I feel really bad for Desmond; he deserved a lot better than being beaten nearly to death in this episode.....
I can't explain why, but the way OG Sunshine delivers that final "Oh my!" before crumpling to the ground just always makes me laugh so hard. He just keeps that peak old school silver age camp energy even when he's about to be rendered unconscious.
Bless him, he just wanted to have a fun get together, a henchtogether. Poor guy.
Gotta love the ol' mask under a mask bit
Man, watching Shore Leave and 21 team up was pretty cool
Anyone else think of Lanius from Fallout New Vegas when you look at Zero's armor?
Yes. Curious coincidence maybe
Dustin Kleiboer or you know maybe both where based on the very popular design for roman legionaries
Wait so who does Truckules hench for? I thought he was a big name.
Lord Sherbert Well Desmon is retired as a hero, maybe it's a similar situation
Padparadscha Maybe Desmond counts as a henchman since he's Captain Sunshine's butler.
Honestly they probably just reused the character and just assumed no one would notice
haha that doppler effect when truckules runs by
This scene was a climax on henchmen 24's murder mystery. But it left things in a bit inconclusive limbo. Did Zero kill 24 or not?. Sure it could've been an accident as suggested in season5.
The moppets did it. But EVERYONE used to think Scott Hall was responsible, even before this episode. The Moppets and Scott Hall were the two characters with the motivation to kill 24. Then the creators threw this episode out of nowhere
@@JackieFuckingChan it was never a actually proven thought
I find myself wondering how much sooner they would have arrived had Billy and White not stopped to get those matching cowboy hats
Edit: They actually don't match, I was witnessing an animation error and not realizing it. Watch Whites hat, it turns white in the last scene
Wait, if he was going after henchmen and sidekicks, why was Truckules there? That guy's half a truck, how's he not a contender?
Truckules has been in the game for over twenty years, he was who Dr Mrs The Monarck number two'd for before she was Lady Au Pair he might of lost a step and became number two for another Trucking or Greek God themed Villain.
i love how Monarch's henchmen are more skilled at fighting than he is
"Henchmen who are out there thinking they're heroes"
Says man who thinks he's a supervillain
I am a ghost living in the heard of a robot..RIP GR 👻🤖
I love how Desmond says "OH MYYYY~!"
In season 4 this was one of the many moments Gary proved he can be capable warrior and hero. Another worth mention is his epic duel with Brock Samson. Duel which he survived a feat so few of the henchen kind ever achieved.
I love how 21 unironically became one of the coolest characters in the show.
I hope we'll see Henchman #1 again... :D
Henchmen 21, Gary, is just such an amazing character. This is why I love Venture Bros.
Well, in the Cradle to the Grave side episode, The Monarch takes the credit for killing 24. Whether he did it or not, he takes the credit for it.
But I doubt it was Scott Hall that did it. He did survive a Brock Samson encounter, but Gary would have known if Scott was back in the Monarchs ranks,
Interesting detail. Henchman Zero's sigel on his chest is a "Z" for zero but made to look like lightning bolt.
I never peeped that good eye 😱
Yellow spandex man with a plug for a face who’s name I never remembered is my favorite terciery character
I expected him to say "So sorry about 24"
The best part is how Truckules actually makes a truck noise as he passes by.
So I have a question here. So somehow Desmond, disguised as Zeus, kidnapped all these guys, including Shore Leave, but gets beaten up by Zero?
Shore Leave's double sword throw maneuver is incomparably badass.
Honestly that was a smart plan Zero is a fairly skilled guy combat wise so he could maybe handle a weakend 21 and shoreleave, but at least 20 sidekicks all coming at him at once no way.
I thought it was "death by sampson" for henchman zero.
Jaxvidstar it was, just later. He survived the first one, then gets his neck snapped by Sampson on Gargantua 2.
Brock must've been in a mellow mood on Spider-Skull Island. Apparently let him off with a savage beating.
RBY lmao I had the exact reply “it was, just later” typed before I saw yours
Cracks me up how Zero shows up a third time and gets offed like nothing by Brock
Dude still kept on the mask and the cowel under his other mask, like damn
Henchmen 24 rocks.
that was henchmen 21/gary/1
That Guy Yes, I know Gary is 21. Gary is who he because of 24.
24 wasn't even in here. let me just say Brock is too good
That Guy Okay, by that logic Brock wasnt even in here either. Also, I kinda lost respect for venture brothers after this episode. The sparticus thing where they enslave heros and force them to battle in an arena has been way over done. They even did an entire hulk movie with that plot.
Mostly Sane I was proving a point now do you see what's the problem with saying characters are awesome when they are not even in there?
o man he did made one hell of villein on this day
well till garcutiala 2 happen end every body who saw it know how it end it
or maybe he mange to fake it again
ave true caesar
DamnLegion! Pulls out a multiplas rifle.
His name is Scott
Morgan Myer Scott hall
@@connormclernon26 Scott MOTHERFUCKING HALL! I literally lost sleep trying to remember his last name thanks bro
I hope we see more of this guy in season 6
+Spyro Fan
*Spoiler warning*
Brock snapped his neck, and left his body on an exploding space station
*End spoiler*
+Tennate Doctor
When Brock does it?
Of course it does.
Tennate Doctor
Replying to the wrong guy.
When the fuck is season 7 going to start
Honestly, the power to throw senile old people at your enemies sounds like a pretty brutal attack.
Never thought that I would come to love Henchman 21; but I do. XD
So tyate where Thor got it from
"You can't defeat me"
"I know, but he can"
Henchman #1 is the only one with the motive as far as I can tell. Plus he would have access to the detonator being a Monarch henchman. If it wasn't some kind of accident, he had to have been the one behind it.
Flash Gordon reference >> flashgordon.fandom.com/wiki/Klytus
Pull over! *Truckules COMIN' THRU!!*
2:13 (Animation Error): Old Captain Sunshine has magically disappeared.
Anyone else hear the Transformer looking dude's horn at the end? I love that little detail.
how did he even survive? last henchman to end up chocking after meeting Brock, well he died, how did he not, he got a bolo thrown back at him and ya know, ended up all chocked up?
I appreciate zero having the monarch mask under his other mask. Its a cartoon classic
Truckules has apparently gone down in the world.
I love 21's character arc
probably my favorite episode of the entire series hands down
It’s a great one
Scott Hall. His name is Scott Hall.
When did Henchmen 21 become a badass?!
After 24 died he became as capable as he is nerdy.
Ogo (snikt) pogo
When he lost his Buddy Henchmen 24, that is how he became a badass.
This show had the most amazing plot twists .... It's very twisty.
Gary with the Sphyx guys are honestly a fun combo.
Jesus, Gary and Shore Leave make one hell of a double act in combat
I wouldve loved to see Zero and 21 fight 1 on 1 though
This show comes up with ghost robot but Rick and Morty comes up with crocubot. Humm
1:46-1:50 is epic visual comedy
Monarch admits to have been the one behind Helper being destroyed, and by extension, 24's death. It was him. The explosive on Helper's back was on a timer, if I recall. A 'surprise' for Venture.
It’s a tough job market.
and he strangely kept the monarch henchman hood/eyes thing.
People care! #SaveTheVentureBros
it's true! #GoTeamVenture
21 could not do the job himself of course, "Hench must not kill hench." He would have been no different than Kevin and Tom-Tom
Great now I've got Oingo Boingo's "No Spill Blood" lyrics going through my head but "No Spill Blood" is replaced with "No Kill Hench". If I had any AV talent at all I'd make that a thing.
You know one thing I'm disappointed about this episode is Zero/Henchmen One/Scott never calling out 21 for saying he was going to die but managing to survive, but that 24 managed to die. Like maybe he didn't know or was more mad at being left to die but felt like a really wasted moment considering how much 21 and 24 bagged on Scott and said he would die and him managing to survive. But then 24 dying later like felt like could of made for a good joke opportunity but yeah didn't happen.
I wanna see more of Desmond when he was the original captain sunshine
Garry really came into his own and I know he'll be Hench for life but if he did take the offer he'd probably be s-class villain or maybe a hero because he has a descent moral code
Make me wonder if he did who whould he arch or be his arch
It wasn't a timer fool, it was a detonator. Yes, Monarch put the explosives there, but we don't know who hit the button. That's why there's all this speculation behind the mystery of his killer. Think about it, #1 is a Monarch henchman and the only one with a motive to kill him as far as we know.
well now we do. Moppits planted the bomb as revenge for being tattled on to Brock Sampson
Jesus, henchman 21 really build himself into number 1
Looking forward to when Shore, 21 and Brock work together, part of me thinks 'Well, the guild, O.S.I and other government be fucked'.
how did he survive beaing chocked out by bolas and brock while also brock punching his face in
Why does this music make zero look like a hero
Seriously, is Shoreleave a supersoldier? His agility, and skills are ridiculous
Most of the named OSI/SPHINX characters border on the supersoldier.
He will become the monarch
Poor Desmond wasn't around to be Red Mantle/Dragoon's final arch. Guess he didn't survive Henchman #1's beating
Henchman 1 mask reminded me of legate lanius from fallout NV
Caesar's legion
Wouldn't it have been easier to just kill 21? He was the one who actually left 1 to die.
Why does he keep the old outfit on? Also, how is Truckcules a sidekick/henchman?
Zero decided to get his revenge against Henchmen instead of getting revenge against the guy who actually (almost) killed him. Dude knew he couldn't throw with Brock and didn't try until he thought he had Brock in a disadvantageous position in season 6. (And how did THAT work out for him?)
Gary really is badass
Truckules is a henchman? I thought he was an antagonist.
Am I the only one who was pissed off when it turned out it was 1 and not 24?
Why the hell would 24 want to kill 21?
TheRedCat wasn’t the voice kinda a dead giveaway for henchman #1?
21 kept his skull around after he died. It would be literally impossible for him to still be alive
Yes you are, because that would be a moronic plot twist. 21 is dead, and even if he was alive he woulnd't want to kill his best friend.
Gyrbae
Right?
0:48 it's Andross!
Zero sounds like Jerma
Honestly when this first came out I thought it was 24 lol
