That's what you need. A match where accents were correctly set and where the fighters kept the bar of quality until the very end. The intrigue was present and at the same time they did not depart from the sports component. Zack Sabre Jr. he relied on dexterity and cunning, and David on emotions and strength, while of course the strategy that was chosen successfully at the current second won.

That could be an option, but Zack being a titleholder is long overdue

David Finlay is not intimidating at all. I cannot believe he's the leader of Bullet Club. Gabe Kidd would be a better leader.

These 2 need to have a 30 minute iron man match and a 2 out of 3 falls match.

So njpw is just...... regular wrestling......but a quieter crowd so it sounds hard hitting

Yes and no. If you're new to it, most of theirs are way more into suplexes. Zach Saber is from a British style where the mat was too hard, and it focused way more on the holds. If you want an example and you're old enough. Dean Malenko, Edie Guerrero, Chris Benoit are 3 that brought that style to the U.S. Most of theirs are that way. Suplexes, hits and some holds. IMO it's to do with no stupid commercial breaks in between, no promos mid show. They do them in the after show segment. what you just saw must have been the last main event so he did it. And yeah they've had the cheaters, the run ins, all the bafoonery you'd see in the U.S. since the 70s. They just don't let it ruin good matches. All in all it's just a better way to do pro wrestling. More of how it used to be done in the U.S. also. Finn Balor for one was trained there, but he's changed a whole lot. That dumb version was already in the NJPW, and came to the WWE. I saw his earlier stuff, it was way way better. Same with Nakamura. Now that Kushida came back, he'll be great again, he was what Zach Saber is, but in the light weight class. I used to love his feuds. He kind of wanted to turn heel, and they didn't let him. So he went to the WWE. But I don't see him as a heel, I just don't. For now I saw him being face, and I hope he stays that way. Their current junior weight heel fits the role way better, and he could really use Kushida to feud with.

@@dodesskiy1 bro no offense but that's a lot of shit to read.....I powered through it but goddamn its entertainment I don't need to know every technique used on every hold. I'm 23 but my mom's 47 and she agrees. It shouldn't be treated like a sport when it's all scripted ya feel

@@cryttrchallengetime7771 I completely disagree with this take. I find Wrestling unwatchable when they treat it like a completely phony act with no basis in reality. Just because the outcomes are predetermined doesn't mean they shouldn't do a good job of making it seem like a real struggle.

@@josephrother7950 I see your point. I never said I don't think there shouldn't be a struggle. HOWEVER, When the match is COMPLETELY sport it feels like I might as well watch UFC or college wrestling. I mean look at Cody Rhodes, everything that man does is base in reality, and he hated the star dust gimmick. But even he understands there has to be at least 50% entertainment or it's the same shit different match

@@cryttrchallengetime7771 Right, I agree, and they really have tried to add more entertainment aspects to the product in the last 15 years or so, I would say. I'm not even a big NJPW fan, I've just noticed this. And promotions like DDT in Japan can get a little TOO goofy sometimes. Back in the 80s and 90s, it was even more straight forward and dry, and you didn't have any smaller guys in the Heavyweight Title picture.
