Hello gentlemen. Good comparison video between the Cadillac Escalade and new generation 2025 Infiniti QX80. This was a close match up. The overall interior space gave the Escalade the advantage. There's a refreshed version of the Escalade for 2025. It's at certain venues now. No test drives yet. As for the refresh, the interior got a boost. Front passenger infotainment screen now, power second row seats and few more.
For this to be a brand new vehicle long overdue for a redesign and it is still just even with the Cadillac is a testament to how ahead of the times the Cadillac was. Personally I'd still pick it over the infiniti especially when the refresh debuts, but to each their own.
It’s not surprising at all. GM’s entire business is trucks and truck-based SUVs, Nissan’s business mainly consists of small cars and crossovers. Another thing to considering is that GM’s revenue is about twice that of Nissan’s. Nissan likely didn’t have that much of a budget developing this in comparison to the huge budget that GM had with the Escalade.

Perhaps the 2025 Infiniti over the 2024 Escalade. But that 2025 Escalade is a beauty and I’d be hard pressed to find a luxury suv more impressive looking (although the current range is perfection)
Love the look of the QX. Not a big fan of the red interior or the black. Wish (hope) they offer a tan/neutral option! Seems like most manufactures are going always from tan/neutral and sticking with black/grey options.

Nah Escalade has swagger and name recognition. Infiniti out of their mind asking for similar prices for their SUV. Nobody is cross shopping an Infinite in the luxury market.
Though the QX80 is nice and has a leg up in certain areas than the Escalade, I myself would go for the Escalade. I find the design of the 80 to be too trendy. This split headlight design and a light bar in the back is so common on a lot of new vehicles now its not really unique anymore. Its a shame Cadillac did this with the refreshed 2025 or 2026 Escalade which puts it in line with its electric brother. I think i like the traditional look of the current escalade more. On top of that GM has always done very good with packaging a whole bunch of room in their suvs and thats what I like about this escalade. We had a rental suburban and took it on an 8-10 hour trip. It was spacious and comfortable so I could imagine what the escalade is like. Unlike the 80 i do Prefer the V8 vs the Turbo V6 just because of the way it sounds.
Believe this review needs to be updated to compare the QX80 with the 2025 Escalade with the refresh. Many points that the infinity grabbed would go to Escalade
If you love music but you’ve never listened to your favorite song in an Escalade with either the 19-speaker AKG system or the 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference system, then you’re crazy. The base system is one of the best I’ve ever heard but the upgraded system has to be the absolute best audio system I’ve ever experienced in any automobile and 1 of my older sisters owns a Bentley Continental amongst other extravagant vehicles that I’ve listened to music in several times. That 36-speaker AKG system is truly something special. I would choose the Escalade over the QX80 because I prefer the design and powertrain over the feminine & narrow look and sound of the Infiniti. I think this matchup speaks volumes on Cadillac’s attention to detail and the way their styling ages so well. The Escalade’s exterior and interior design are still bold, look futuristic and fresh in 2024. Another timeless design like the 2015 model. Bravo Cadillac! 🥂 😎
This is a tough one for sure. While the Infiniti is a sizeable quantum leap from the 2010-23 model, and represents an overall HUGE advancement for the brand writ-large, this vehicle needed to offer intangibles that were completely absent on the Caddy, not merely match it. Cadillac has had since '99(and especially 2002) to own this class and its been dominant ever since. That said, I applaud Infiniti for cranking the amp up on the luxury, experience, technology(especially), and delivering a more complete vehicle than the Lexus LX600, which feels really dated already. Infiniti at long last has some inspirational trajectory as a brand.
Both are great but I’m so impressed with the QX80 considering how many more resources that GM has in comparison to Nissan. When Nissan doesn’t cost cut and has the right R&D budget, they can engineer the heck out of a vehicle and make a compelling product.
People have really forgotten this. The QX80 is an incredible effort considering the relative lack of resources they have compared to the bigger companies.
@@bigd7386Yeah, Nissan is only a medium sized automaker, they’re only large sized when the alliance is considered. Their revenue is nowhere near as huge as a Toyota or even GM.
@@tyalderdice4980That’s true, I’m not denying that but when budgets are compromised, that’s typically what happens. As a much smaller company, they can’t move as agile as Toyota or Honda.
Main thing I don’t like about the Escalade is the suspension. You can see all of it. It’s hideous. The arms are so low basically has ground clearance equal to a car. The Infiniti manages to have independent suspension and air suspension all while having it packaged better and tucked away.
I still love this new QX80 Autobiography, one the v-6 pushing 450 hp and not kill me wt the gas station and its more specs than the Escalade yeah am sticking with the QX80
Good job guys! For the people that complain about price - these are not for everyone! A luxury 3 ton SUV with all these amenities is actually fairly cheap! 0-60, space and the technology is amazing! Definitely not a bargain but for those who can afford it they are very good value for the purpose
One thing you guys did not cover, how long the cars would last! I pick infiniti because their Japanese engines last a lot longer than US made engines. My QX56 still runs and performs like it did when I first got it now over 200k miles.
I choose the infinity because the Cadillac looks just like a Chevy Tahoe in the front… But the electric Escalade is debuting next year is going to be beautiful😍
Great video, good analysis , both vehicles really impresive. However Infiniti QX80 to me woul win it majorly basing on its visuals and design -superb modern elegance , well judged well-restrained opulence. Bonus points as well for Infiniti /Nissan for really pulling out all stops to mak such a major improvement on the outgoin QX.
I personally would deduct the score on the QX80 for the air suspension. Can you say leak over time? Also, on a personal note, I can easily walk a quarter mile to my Cadillac dealership. The nearest Infiniti dealership is more than an hours drive away. Also, I own a Caddy (-;
Nothing against Cadillac, think it's a great car. I can't see myself in anything else but an Infiniti. Had a G20, G35 2x (one Tropical Storm Allison totalled), 2015 QX50 Touring but cvt. Now with a 2017 QX50 none cvt, 2016 QX70S.
No, it's not. It's a unibody, packaged not very efficiently, too big, not much luxury or buttons, and the third row and cargo area is smaller than the regular escalade
Hey guys, great video. For the headroom figures, can you guys make sure to look carefully at the specs between headroom without a moonroof/panoramic moon roof and headroom with one? Without the sunroof, the escalade headroom is 38.9. However, with a pano roof, the headroom is actually 37.5, so that would mean the escalade would not get a full point, just half a point for the legroom advantage.
I love the front and back of the Cadillac Escalade, but I don't like the sides and gas. Overall, Infiniti has nice from all sides. ...and the V6 Turbo does have alittle more power and better GAS. I will buy Infiniti anytime.
I can almost instantly tell you have a slight bias for the Cadillac. that Infiniti blew it out of the water as soon as you stepped inside the interior.
The QX is a huge step forward for Inifiniti and looks like it will be a home run for the brand. At the same time, you guys need to be fair and compare the 2025 Escalade - it has been dramatically refreshed exterior and interior wise including a massive 55” display and a secondary touchscreen in the center console. The executive package has get this - power auto open doors. Your comparison in this video is using the 2024 model.
Are you planning on comparing the new 2025 Escalade to the 2025 qx80. More apples to apples that way. I am leaning to the QX80 but the new Escalade has some cool new stuff as well, which is making me think twice.
Great comparison guys! Am I the only one who didn't see the point summary though!? I've only driven a 2014 QX80 and a 2023 Cadillac Escalade and while I really enjoy both, I definitely prefer the Cadillac. I do like the updated Infiniti though.. Might have to try it out.
I'll take the INFINITI all the way. Next to the Escalade, the QX80s design is just on a different level. Will most likely age way better than the Cadi too.
Well I like the way the Infiniti looks but the escalade is just better especially with the new 2025 coming and that thing is beyond sick and impressive plus it also has a V version that I'm in love with. The caddy will always be ahead of everyone I don't see it getting dethroned anytime soon it will be the king for a long time sorry guys at least you tried lol. 👏🏾😁
I was surprised by this- the 2024 QX80 is a cheap direct injection TTV6 engine that doesn't carry dual injection like Ford and Toyota have for over a decade in their TTV6 engines.
The Escalade is ok for the $$$ but still full of plastics from GM parts bin and for that kind of cash no rear vented seats the Caddy is bigger and if the TT V6 doesn t blow up just might give it a run for its market segment.
I bought qx80 in 2021 and my neighbour bought a gmc siera denali in same week...his engine made big " cluck click click" sound after 8 months and delership pull it ,fix it under warranty..he faced couple of issues after also...i am using my qx80 for 3+ issues..never had any issues...that is the diffrence of a japan engine and a poor quality gmc engine..

@@slon7610 you meant to say it was better
Maybe in your dream
@e8ook981 No reply. However, i suggest you read comments, point proven.
The Escalade will NEVER be knocked off its throne
Love the look of the QX. Not a big fan of the red interior or the black. Wish (hope) they offer a tan/neutral option! Seems like most manufactures are going always from tan/neutral and sticking with black/grey options.
Good luck comparing it with the 2025 Escalade.
Escalade doesn't look any good in real life, it doesn't feel luxurious or turn heads, ultra simple expensive car!!!!
@@Maximius38 I don't know if you're speaking of the newer ones, the 2025 model is hard to see now in real life since it just came out. But you can't tell me the QX80 has ever looked better in terms of luxury in comparison to an Escalade! Except for the 2025 one, I agree the 2025 QX80 sky rocketed getting to be the best looking SUV. But can't stand a chance with the all new 2025 Escalade..
@@XeroHertz
the new escalade has a vertical front headlight with a new horizontal screen in the Dashboard, nothing exceptional!!!
the 2025 looks the same, a boxy crap without any taste.... the older one before the last 2 versions was by far a batter car and a better design...
The GMC, the new 2025 Lincoln navigator, as all European/Japanese/ and even Chinese cars looks better than the new escalade, and feel by far more luxurious and have by far more presence!!!
@@Maximius38 Tell that to any country president.. They should start being chauffeured in a QX80.. My friend, in a vehicle there are several aspects to look at, you can't just judge a book by its cover..
@@XeroHertz
Bro, I'm talking in general not about the QX80!!!
there is not a single president who own a Cadillac or ride in a Cadillac in the world, Cadillac in the rest of the world in the meaning of the US excess with the cowboy thirsty engine build in a pickup designed in a Texan ranch, this brand is famous only in the US, and considerate in Canada and Saudi Arabia, that's all!!!
Presidents ride in Mercedes, rolls Royce, or BMW.... Cadillac definitely doesn't deserve it price or it status in the US (for the rest of the world it's a joke)!!
0:58 Eggsterior looking good for both 😂😂😂
Nah Escalade has swagger and name recognition. Infiniti out of their mind asking for similar prices for their SUV. Nobody is cross shopping an Infinite in the luxury market.
QX80 🔥🔥🔥
Escalade but man that infiniti is so close
Agreed fully
Until the updated escalade comes out
Time and time again year after year there are so many competitors that come for the Cadillac brand yet it’s remains on top for a reason.
@@kendellvjohnson everyone has tried but nobody has succeeded at dethroning the Cadillac Escalade and those folks over at *gm.*
Believe this review needs to be updated to compare the QX80 with the 2025 Escalade with the refresh. Many points that the infinity grabbed would go to Escalade
We will make another comparison when the 2025 Escalade becomes available in 2025
They are both nice trucks. I want to see how the 25 Escalade updates go.
I love Cadillac
Chevy cars are junk
I’m not rich but I drive rental cars across the state. I’ve never experienced anything like sound of the Escalade. WOW. 🤩
Yes but the infiniti has way better reliability than Gm because Infiniti is Japanese
Excellent comparison!
Escalade exterior, especially from directly front and back, looks much cleaner and better.
Cadillac for me by far, especially in long wheelbase. I’d take a Lincoln Navigator L over the Infiniti too.
Steering on Lincoln is old lady feel; WAY prefer tight steering feel.
I'd take the Escalade all day. Previous bought new Nissans I owned were so unreliable (quest, 200sx se, maxima)
Infiniti im buying it looks aggressive all in black jack😊
You guys will have to do this comparison again with the 2025 Escalade, Navigator, & QX80
Planning on it!
But Nissan/Infiniti takes FOREVER to make any changes and by the time they do they are behind again.
@@bigd7386Yeah, Nissan is only a medium sized automaker, they’re only large sized when the alliance is considered. Their revenue is nowhere near as huge as a Toyota or even GM.
they nailed this because they skimp on every other product they make.
I love the split screen comparison
Thanks!
One thing you guys did not cover, how long the cars would last! I pick infiniti because their Japanese engines last a lot longer than US made engines. My QX56 still runs and performs like it did when I first got it now over 200k miles.
Infiniti qx80 all day! Cant wait to get mine!
Infinity took my money deal is done and that thing is amazing!
Cadillac escalade beautiful beautiful beautiful nothing on the streets like that❤
I pick the Infinti all day any day and on a Sunday😬
I could hear the amazing difference between audio systems 😅
Wow!!!
Hope you guys had a good 4th!!
I’m taking the Cadillac, plus the 2025 Cadillac is yet to be reviewed against this 2025 infinity
You two did an Excellent job 🎉 Thank you...
I choose the infinity because the Cadillac looks just like a Chevy Tahoe in the front… But the electric Escalade is debuting next year is going to be beautiful😍
Excelent video presentation!
Thanks!
You need to do the sound test WHEN ACCELERATING TOO. I don’t want my car making a racket when I accelerate.
QX80 👍
Great video, good analysis , both vehicles really impresive. However Infiniti QX80 to me woul win it majorly basing on its visuals and design -superb modern elegance , well judged well-restrained opulence. Bonus points as well for Infiniti /Nissan for really pulling out all stops to mak such a major improvement on the outgoin QX.
Def the QX 80 , sadly Cadillac has let me down too many times! I’ll try Japan quality
Just wait for the letdown then. When you factor in how many vehicles Cadillac sells over Infiniti it’s staggering.
@ivankorth4458 You're in the minority then. Even car confections reliability metrics put Cadillac above infiniti.
@@dtay8913but in practice it doesn’t work that way. Just ask a livery driver with any of the suburban Tahoe family of vehicles including Escalade.
I personally would deduct the score on the QX80 for the air suspension. Can you say leak over time? Also, on a personal note, I can easily walk a quarter mile to my Cadillac dealership. The nearest Infiniti dealership is more than an hours drive away. Also, I own a Caddy (-;
Finally someone did it
A really wonderful channel. I wish there was a translation into other languages
Here in East/Asia, we choose the Y62 Patrol over a Tahoe or Suburban, because of three things, Reliability, Longetivity and Price/maintenance.
The 2025 escalade IQ is crushing both of these.
No, it's not. It's a unibody, packaged not very efficiently, too big, not much luxury or buttons, and the third row and cargo area is smaller than the regular escalade
When the Infiniti is around $8,000 in 2040 imma buy one!!!!!!!!!
Infiniti for me
I can almost instantly tell you have a slight bias for the Cadillac.
that Infiniti blew it out of the water as soon as you stepped inside the interior.
2 Queens at the same stage wooow🤯😍
Are you planning on comparing the new 2025 Escalade to the 2025 qx80. More apples to apples that way. I am leaning to the QX80 but the new Escalade has some cool new stuff as well, which is making me think twice.
We will definitely be doing a rematch when the new Escalade comes out at the end of this year
As a person who drives a Cadillac, Infiniti wins this round
Great comparison guys! Am I the only one who didn't see the point summary though!? I've only driven a 2014 QX80 and a 2023 Cadillac Escalade and while I really enjoy both, I definitely prefer the Cadillac. I do like the updated Infiniti though.. Might have to try it out.
I looked into both the X50 kills the Cadillac. The cadillac resale is very lousy.
That QX80 is a literal art gallery on wheels. A gorgeous SUV. But, I'd take the Escalade over it tbh
INFINITY QX 80☄️☄️☄️🔥🔥🔥 Legendary🙌
I'll take the fancy Chevy over the fancy Datsun
Not in terms of reliability though😂💀
I'll take the INFINITI all the way. Next to the Escalade, the QX80s design is just on a different level. Will most likely age way better than the Cadi too.
Compare new QX80 with 2025 Escalade, and Escalade is the clear winner as "KING OF ROADS'..
Can you guys make a video about the 2025 Escalade vs 2025 Infiniti qx 80
I was surprised by this- the 2024 QX80 is a cheap direct injection TTV6 engine that doesn't carry dual injection like Ford and Toyota have for over a decade in their TTV6 engines.
infiniti qx80 so baeutifull looking i like it
The QX80 has become the nightmare of the Escalade and the Navigator
The QX80 put up a worthy challenge... but the 2025 Escalade was revealed today and Cadillac just snatched back the crown.
The Escalade is ok for the $$$ but still full of plastics from GM parts bin and for that kind of cash no rear vented seats the Caddy is bigger and if the TT V6 doesn t blow up just might give it a run for its market segment.
Definitely the infinity
Qx80 all Day
I bought qx80 in 2021 and my neighbour bought a gmc siera denali in same week...his engine made big " cluck click click" sound after 8 months and delership pull it ,fix it under warranty..he faced couple of issues after also...i am using my qx80 for 3+ issues..never had any issues...that is the diffrence of a japan engine and a poor quality gmc engine..
Who is better, my brother? I love you too, but I am confused about who to take.
Can you pop open the front view camera when driving on QX80
Only at low speed, I believe
@@CarConfections thanks for getting back to me. You two rock!
Infiniqx80 my best
QX80 fo sho!
Sorry Haters! The Escalade still topped it in nearly every category, and that’s not even the V-Series, nor the Platinum Package!
