Love your videos, Schony. Even though I'm in QLD now, I am a Melbourne boy through and through. Your clips make me a little homesick, and also make me want to drive trams! Keep up the awesome work!
The new operations is based at Preston Workshops and is now known as New Preston Depot. East Preston is now home to the tram life extension project. Im not really sure why the depot was closed.

The new Preston depot replaced East Preston as it can now both stable trams and be a workshop. I would imagine it closed as it was deemed unnecessary.
Best video of trams i have seen new subscriber kym
Thanks for jumping on board.

I searched it up and on Google Maps maps I meant and it was 2019 and It The depot closed in 2016 and some trams came out in 2019 so

1:54 driver change over
another part of Melbourne history gone for ever.
+John Cox At least it's recorded.
I note drivers having to change points manually…..
+Bob Rogers Inside the depot was manual. Entering the depot from Plenty Road was full automatic.
Why did the East Preston Tram Depot close? Thats something that I really wanna know.
That's a question for the government and PTV as they would have made the decision.
