Thanks for the great tutorial! If I wanted to run this setup in stereo, so I can place stereo effects in loop after the DSM, how would i wire? Would I need a Insert cable (Y cable)?
Thanks for the question. For stereo, I think I'd run to the Helix first, then use the Mono FX Loop to send to the Simplifer input. Then, use the Simplifer FX Send to return to the HX Stomp & Finally return to the Simplifer FX Return in Stereo. This would leave you stuck with the Cab Sims in the MK2, unless you use the 1/4" Cab Bypass Output, which could still be used with a real amplifier. I'm not sure if this answers your question about the FX in Loop after the DSM but I hope it helps. Let me know if I can clarify anything else. Thanks again!
Also, the FX send on the Simplifier is mono so you don’t need a test or y cable. The HX Stomp send is stereo. You can still use it with a normal TS cable, but if you want to use both loops or sends then you will need a TRS or Y cable. I use a short TRS cable to a OBNE Split Meld
