- My thoughts from a music production studio perspective are HIFIman Arya, Audeze LCD X, and HEDD Phones. Which one works best for music production and decision-making. What is the best tool for music production, mixing, and mastering?
33 I'm evaluating sound, comfort, and usability.

Excellent explanation of how you use headphones in the studio. One of the best I've heard. Thanks for the video!
Thanks and happy new year
Between the LCD-X and the Arya right now. So happy I found this comparison. So many audiophile channels where they just say a bunch of made up subjective words and you walk away knowing less than when you started watching.
Yea, a lot of nonsense from audiophiles. When you work on this and your lively hood is at stake. It’ll put a different spin on it.
Lcd X is amazing and I love that they don’t need burn In very considerate 🔥👍
Yep, I’m keeping them.
Great video thanks for your insight! Did your opinion about the Arya changed since then?
No, it’s sounds great, but not for the studio
Was wondering if you had the chance to try out the Neumann NDH 30? I know they are about half the price of these high end planar and AMT headphones, but they have received great reviews in the studio & audio engineering world.
Sorry no I didn’t. Maybe I can do if I get a hold of a pair.
There is now the Arya Organic like speaker left and right side your head
Kii 3 speakers
Hey there Ken, hope you are well. I have a question and would be thankful to hear the answer to it as well. I am thinking between audeze lcd x's and heddphones. I am making edm music that you can hear on festivals, more accurately it is called hardstyle. Since you have a lot experience in headphones, which one do you think would suit better. It is bass heavy genre. Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks 🙂
Hi Dominik - The bass on the Audeze (and they are way more comfortable) for your style of music would be superior. Please watch this video as well. ua-cam.com/video/Z_HCzrtzQSk/v-deo.html
@@kenjacobsenmusic thanks a lot sir, i thought same as well, also do you think them paires with rme adi 2 dac fs would be enough of power for running them with good sound quality, im thinking of getting that combo
@@dominikperkovic3058 The LCDX are very easy to drive and don't need a ton of power. EQ them with Sonorworks (they have a profile).
@@kenjacobsenmusic thats good to hear, then i guess ill aim to get that combo as soon as i can, thanks a lot 🙂🙏
Whats a good Headphone Eq App besides sonarworks? Or the one you use?
I use sonorworks, but the included eq with Nuendo are very good as well. I have used fabfilter q3 with some success as well.
Would the LCD x with the stock sonarwork flat eq be the best use for ableton? I typically produce electronic music with heavier basses. Would you recommend the lcd 2 or lcd x?
Get the LCDX with Sonorworks and don’t look back.
@@kenjacobsenmusic Or much more with dsoniq's Realphones stock Audeze LCD-X 2021 settings! It is stunning.
Awesome
so true on sounstage XD. haha stay true man.
Thanks for watching
what kind of chair is that? thank you
It’s a Verte chair
Its the kind you sit your ass on
For me personally Audeze LCD X were just too soft or warm sounding. HEDDphone on the other hand are one the best headphones I ever heard and own.
Cool man. But they are so heavy.
@@kenjacobsenmusicyou have weak neck. Heddphone is light weight baby. LIGHT WEIGHT!!
@@INeedsMoneys if the weight doesn’t bother you. Good for you. They sound great as I mentioned
@@kenjacobsenmusic light weight baby!! Oooufff
