Worked with them for a long time. Was blown away how many weren't on drugs or alcohol and just had something bad happen to them. Some of the kindest most real people I've ever met. I've never forgot that lesson. I'd rather be rich in my heart then rich with stuff any day

Guys who were completely and innocently screwed over by selfish women who fooled them and leveraged the courts to their advantage cuz they know the law is gynocentric. I've spoken to a few of these folks. But There was a particular guy who told his story where he was completely ripped to shreds by the jurisdictional system. And his ex woman just leveraged the system to her advantage bc she knows she could and she just didn't want him anymore. She cheated and falsely accused him of violence to get out and go out with enough of his $$$...she beat herself up to make the violence claim and planned everything with a lawyer friend. He was doing pretty well in life. He was a family man but it was his first woman who he was madly in love with. He didn't have much experience outside of her and she took advantage of his innocence. He went outta his way to fulfill her. He was a hustler who had a very comfortable life financially. He made sure she got all she asked for. But After the Court ruling, she eventually left with the child they shared and a massive percentage of all his resources...house included. He only kept his vehicle. The insane expenses child support, alimony, loss of resources, eventual loss of his job bc of the news & purported lies all put him rock bottom. And he was in his mid 40s. It becomes very different to start all over from there. He has lived under a bridge for many years and just loses hope with every passing day. There's guys with these situations where unfortunate circumstances and Not drugs/bad habits, just get them to that rock bottom point with this kinda system. Really sad.
One of the reasons why some people, such as this kind man, is that they are just too kind for our world. It is not a good place sometimes, and these kind souls are the casualties. Happy for this homeless man to get this gift!!!

It's slightly overwhelming how kind and generous and big-hearted these homeless people are often revealed to be. I know there are various reasons for homelessness, but I feel like that kind of big heart would be useful in care work - you know, where that heart becomes a part of competence at work - and I wonder if that could be some kind of employment pathway..?
