Hongjoong, the captain/leader of Ateez, explained the timeline of their lore on Showterview with Sunmi. If I remember correctly, there are 2 universes the A (example Pirate King & Treasure) and the Z. And the album The World is in between those (Bouncy is on The World:Outlaw). So the graffiti "Z"on the wall at the end of the MV could foreshadow that the fight is not over.
@@yasminaaarab6503 Well mark of Zorro is just a letter Z like the name. In Zorro it's not even crossed out, so I don't see what resemblance ppl are even talking about.

They’ve got a lot of movie/anime references. Idk what anime it is, but my brother in law noticed that Yeosang’s shot where he skids his motorcycle and it’s that mid shot with the city behind him, it’s apparently a reference to an anime? Some references I’ve noticed: zorro with the Z at the end on the wanted posters, the anime scene my brother in law noticed, the streams of red light behind the motorcycles like in Tron and Tron: Legacy, probably a ton of westerns idk, and the end scene with them walking away with the explosion behind them pretty sure being a reference to The Expendables, boxing could be a) rocky, or b) Fight Club (?), as well as probably plenty of other boxing movies idk. Not to mention their other songs having and BEING references. Dune, Django, Rocky, Inception, Eternal Sunshine, The Ring etc. They literally had a concert tour that was an entire Lord of the Rings reference??? Their tour was literally called The Fellowship and they performed The Ring where Yunho and San quote LOTR at the end. Like these boys are such NERDS and I love them for it. I didn’t even realize The Fellowship being a reference until my sister pointed it out and I finally listened to The Ring and was like “oh 👁👄👁 I’m stupid”

The Outlaw album is about them breaking into the Prestige Academy to save a student as well as carry on with their mission to remove the boards off the windows so people can see their reflections as it can make people get their emotions back. The student they are saving is the brother of the boy at the end of the Guerrilla music video. His brother had his ear piece shut down against his will by his young brother (the boy from the Guerrilla video) by a black chip that ATEEZ handed out at one of their demonstrations in the City where Z rules and his Guardians, the Android Guardians, oversee the following of the rules as well as hunt ATEEZ and the Cromer. This music video shows that they have been hiding undercover as gunmen (Hongjoong and Mingi), Underground Boxer and Manager/bookie (San and Wooyoung), Biker Gang leaders (Seonghwa and Yeosang) and mechanics/fake police (Yunho and Jongho) it was so they could keep an eye on the school and waiting for their operation to start. The shot Hongjoong fired was at the Android Guardian in the school as they are the security/rule keepers who make sure no one has their emotions back. (If they do have their emotions back they are sent to the Android Bunker which is the art gallery in Say My Name, where there emotions and memories are forcefully removed by the Android Guardians.). The end I think was the symbol of Z, the leader of Strickland, and the one who rules everything. It was his way of showing ATEEZ that he is still here and still hunting them as it was carved on Mingis wanted posters. I still have to properly read the new diary entrees from the new album but this is my understanding so far.
I was dying to see Jordan's reaction. Thanks again! I was soo happy to see what you have to say about the video. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. It blew my mind!
I feel like the true strength of this MV is that they clearly had some technical elements on set - like the gun flashes and the punching, that hindered the MV - but the editing was so good that it distracted us and made it so much harder to notice - it takes a very pedantic person or a highly experienced professional to notice. I’m a film student and I didn’t notice these issues! And I’m training to look at them.
This MV seems like it came from a videogame: the aesthetics, the rhythm and the freeze frames, specially during the fight and shooting scenes. Really cool!
I really appreciate that you are honest and even mention what you didn't particularly like in the video. You don't only compliment the videos trying not to offend fans and that makes it much more entertaining to watch your reactions and learn about the editing process :) Thanks Jordan
I’d like to just point out the freeze frames in the boxing match 4:05. The boxing scene seems as though it was heavily inspired but Guy Ritchie movie Snatch, where he tends to use those freeze frames of each of the hits as well as the zoom into the crowd. Understandably it’s not of everyone’s taste, but as a fan of Ritchie’s cinematography, ATEEZ really perfected the scene and style, which makes the whole music video amazing

big disagree on freeze frames! I think you might think like that if you watch it frame by frame but in the MV the cuts are so fast and disorienting the freeze frames feel like shots in the comics right before/after the impact, emphasizing the power of the hit.
I've been a fan since wonderland era, I knew they were creative but I didnt think there were lores behind the mvs! just shows how talented they are. i'm mindblown
So... I'm convinced that them cornering the market on chili peppers is another proof of their love of fantasy & sci-fi (or that someone in their team loves it, lol). After all, we have "Dune" as a song title and in *Dune* we know that "He who controls the spice controls the universe" 🌶 Makes sense to me. My brain made the connection and thought it was cool, but then I remembered a comment I'd read somewhere a while back... about how the tour for World EP 1 was "The Fellowship" and there was a song on that album called "The Ring", which has final lines calling directly back to Tolkien's work ~ "One ring to rule them all; One ring to bring them all". Things like this tie together far too cleanly for me to believe it's just coincidence.😅 I *definitely* know about the whole double entendre here... but beyond all that, the fantasy/sci-fi nerd in me loves what they've done. Most of the songs on this album had a short little teaser film that showed how each duo was set up in their undercover operation, with "Django" showing the entire group together. Then they dropped the official album trailer, which showed "Blue Bird Delivery" taking food to Captain/Mingi, Yunho/Jongho, and Wooyoung/San. The food contained chili peppers that broke open to reveal secret messages (and Yunho got a message at the bottom of his drink, heh). Finally, the delivery guy pulls up to Seonghwa and takes the helmet off, and we see that it was Yeosang. So we've seen the peppers used for more than just hiding a bullet, and we may well see them again. The figure appears to be an Android Guardian, based on what I've seen of them. They're basically the hunters that track down dissidents in Strictland and enforce the laws there. We've seen one tracking our guys before in at least one MV (I can only think of "Answer", but I might not be recalling correctly) as several made an appearance for a stage in Kingdom: Legendary War. At the end, Mingi's annoyed because all of those Wanted posters had his face on them. I agree with the commenter who said the "Z" crossing over them is probably to say the fight isn't over... and we're all aware of how they can continue to build in every area of the timeline, so there's room for the story to continue as long as they want to make it. They bounce us (no pun intended) around their timeline in a way that reminds me of *Pulp Fiction*, but I'm definitely on board for the whole ride.
Thank you for explaining the benefit of using that aspect ratio--I was confused. I love how you connected the that spiciness would be a drug in their world. In a preview, I think they showed a big wanted poster behind the bartender and the bartender recognizing Mingi as soon as he saw him. So it's possible that Mingi drew first to protect himself from being captured. Someone else theorized the bullet moving through day and night suggested the bullet was switching between dimensions/universes as it flew. The dance therapy was some of your best ever. 😊
no because ateez’s lore is actually insane. your frame by frame of the bullet at 15:40 made me audibly scream because the mask thing that the bullet hits after going through the doorknob is from the masked figure that appeared at the end of a music video from 2020, answer. like that is the smallest little detail ever and the fact that they included it is just fgdhdjfbdnsmcjjsms theyre just insanly thorough ugh i just love them so much
I like that you also kept in mind the storyline that goes along the mv too. You looked beyond the visual effects and pieced up the meaning behind the scenes too.
I just love seeing the evolution of ATEEZ music videos, it shows their increasing popularity everytime and the amount of budget they put in their stuff. Thank your for reacting, it's always interesting to get your insight.
I love Jordan's videos because no matter how many times I watch the og MV's, or how invested I am in the lore, he always points out things I missed!! Thank you for breaking these down Jordan, now... Let's DANCE!!🎉

Just wanted to say that the fire is real fire! The set was also very warm as a result. It was mentioned in an interview there were so many practical effects, assets, and props on top of all that as well. As a result, this MV was the longest to create and film, making it the most expensive one for them to create to date. But it looks amazing!! 🎉🔥
I need to say that I was waiting for this reaction and analysis since the day that the MV came out. Really, it was so worth it and so satisfying watching from the perspective of a professional editor. There's not a single time that I don't learn something completely new. Thank you for this ❤
Just found your channel and I love your insights!! Have you done a video on their MV for Don’t Stop? It’s not technically part of their lore. It was kind of a side project they did, but they do draw heavily from their lore for the story. It’s basically a mini heist movie in an MV. It’s amazing!
jordan this video was SO unbelievably funny. your reactions were too good but what really killed me is seeing your bright ass blue booty shorts everytime you stood up 😭😭 was gasping for air by the end of it.
Loved this analysis! That ending tag is a preview of their next album's title track, and my theory about why Mingi looks so annoyed is that the giant graffiti Z is a calling card of another faction (possibly another dimension's ATEEZ?) announcing that they're coming to play next album. XD
Came here after discovering the channel from the crazy form vid and this is another awesome analysis! Dance therapy time 😂👌 Watching this makes me even more sad that this didn't get a mama nom for best MV 🙈 It's so creative and well made! Plus matching the vibe/beat of the song well like you explained.

SOTY for me. Also the camera work was insane in this vid!! Also that 4:3 got me so hypedd upppp
ATEEZ mvs always so cinematically beautiful but this mv indeed is so different
Thank you for explaining the benefit of using that aspect ratio--I was confused. I love how you connected the that spiciness would be a drug in their world. In a preview, I think they showed a big wanted poster behind the bartender and the bartender recognizing Mingi as soon as he saw him. So it's possible that Mingi drew first to protect himself from being captured. Someone else theorized the bullet moving through day and night suggested the bullet was switching between dimensions/universes as it flew. The dance therapy was some of your best ever. 😊
talk dirty to me:
“holy cinematic wide angle lens 4:3 aspect ratio what the freak is going on”
Your dance therapy never fails to make me laugh 😭
no because ateez’s lore is actually insane. your frame by frame of the bullet at 15:40 made me audibly scream because the mask thing that the bullet hits after going through the doorknob is from the masked figure that appeared at the end of a music video from 2020, answer. like that is the smallest little detail ever and the fact that they included it is just fgdhdjfbdnsmcjjsms
theyre just insanly thorough ugh i just love them so much
Can’t believe I’m this early for one of my favorite editor reaction videos. Keep up the good work Jordan(also love the new haircut)!! ❤
I was never this early by one of Jordan‘s Videos too😃
I like that you also kept in mind the storyline that goes along the mv too. You looked beyond the visual effects and pieced up the meaning behind the scenes too.
BOUNCY REALLY NEEDS TO WIN BEST MUSIC VIDEO
i wish they had that category. but then again kpop industry would make yet another app for fans to collect or buy votes on so maybe no lol
00:16 The noise I make when someone touches me when I’m not expecting it 😂😂
i just KNEW that mingi’s part would make you go crazy from an editing perspective
They slayed fr this mv is on a whole another level
12:32 as a videographer/cinematographer this got me freaking out too hahaha crazy camera work
personally i think people are not talking enough about yeosang’s akira slide at 5:09, i pop off whenever i see one 🏍️💨
I just love seeing the evolution of ATEEZ music videos, it shows their increasing popularity everytime and the amount of budget they put in their stuff. Thank your for reacting, it's always interesting to get your insight.
i've been waiting for this video, cause you explain the lore so freakin' well. thank you jordan!
13:06 literally my fav part of the mv cause of the editing, it makes me feel.. idek, i cant explain it its just too good
I’ve been waiting for your reaction ever since the MV came out!! Not gonna lie - the production team and Ateez ate in this MV!! 🤠🤠
I love Jordan's videos because no matter how many times I watch the og MV's, or how invested I am in the lore, he always points out things I missed!! Thank you for breaking these down Jordan, now... Let's DANCE!!🎉
😂
i know this video is old but omg that was the best transition into your sponsor break i’ve ever seen any reactor do!
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
(your dance therapy will never not make me happy)
Oh my god the story is making sense now, I never thought of it like that you are a genius!
THE DANCE THERAPY IS ALWAYS ONE OF THE BEST PART OF THE VIDEO😅🔥 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REACTION❤☺🤟🌶🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥🔥
Noooo, you missed mentioning the Akira slide. I pointed at my screen and yelled "WEEB!!" the first time I saw it 😅
I need to say that I was waiting for this reaction and analysis since the day that the MV came out. Really, it was so worth it and so satisfying watching from the perspective of a professional editor. There's not a single time that I don't learn something completely new. Thank you for this ❤
I've waited for you to comment on this! When I saw the MV for the first time, I was flashed. One of my favorite music videos of all time, honestly.
See this is why I love watching your videos cus after watching them I just know so much more about the m/v and notice a lot more I didn’t see before
i really appreciate how well you explained their storyline so casual listeners could be familiar with the context
BRO AT THE BEGINNING WHEN YOU DID HONGJOONGS "YAAAH" LMAO
omg when u said "sometimes dance therapy is not enough" and went to the advertising omg that caught me so off guard, u are hilarious
Just found your channel and I love your insights!! Have you done a video on their MV for Don’t Stop? It’s not technically part of their lore. It was kind of a side project they did, but they do draw heavily from their lore for the story. It’s basically a mini heist movie in an MV. It’s amazing!
Waiting with excitement for Jordan's reaction to Crazy Form :)
jordan this video was SO unbelievably funny. your reactions were too good but what really killed me is seeing your bright ass blue booty shorts everytime you stood up 😭😭 was gasping for air by the end of it.
I have been waiting for your commentary on that whole Mingi sequence. 🥵 I still can’t get over the camera angles.
Jordan you do such a good time explaining Ateez Lore, I love it, tysm from an Atiny :D
I'm so happy you reacted to this MV!
been waiting patiently for your reaction. the camera in this video is absolutely perfect.
I just know you will freak out when this mv drop. Thank you for your reaction jordan! It's really like what I was imagine it would be 😂🙌
Omg you do not know how many times i have prayed for a day ever sine it came out for you to educate us Jordan❤❤❤❤❤
Loved this analysis! That ending tag is a preview of their next album's title track, and my theory about why Mingi looks so annoyed is that the giant graffiti Z is a calling card of another faction (possibly another dimension's ATEEZ?) announcing that they're coming to play next album. XD
i think in mingi's shot he was meant to be able to see the people behind him in the glass as well, so those were prob the silhouettes
Came here after discovering the channel from the crazy form vid and this is another awesome analysis! Dance therapy time 😂👌
Watching this makes me even more sad that this didn't get a mama nom for best MV 🙈 It's so creative and well made! Plus matching the vibe/beat of the song well like you explained.
I love the way you describe ATEEZ's story too
Thank you so much for this! I Learned a lot as always!
Your dance therapy sessions had me in tears. 😂
great commentary!! i love how you're not afraid to voice some criticisms, it makes your reactions all the more real :)) keep up the ateez content im lovin ittt
you're like one of the few people who i watch and i don't get annoyed when you pause, ... :D
wow this is like the biggest compliment ever hahaha thanks so much :)
Yours and PD’s reaction were the ones I was most anxious to see! I love the technical and concept thoughts you guys bring to your reactions ❤
I love how he just did a body roll after airing out a bar
Bro is that good of an editor that he even knows how to do a smooth transition into a sponsorship
The end is sometimes in ateez mv as an spoiler for an new song
I love the way you did research about their storyline / theory. Not like most of reactors who don't know anything. Big respect for u
This vidio made me realise that the sound right at the so freaking persistent bit was the beginning if crazy form.
Thank you for your amazing reaction and explanation! ATEEZ is incredible!
Hongjoong was the sniper. Mingi, at the end, was the guy who shot up the bar.
JORDAN YOU NEEEEEEDDDD TO CHECK OUT CRAZY FORM ITS NEXT LEVEL
I don't know how he manages to connect the ads so well, it even makes me like to see them hahaha
I ALSO THOUGHT THE BANNER WAS TALKING ABT ABORTION THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE MV 💀💀💀 btw amazing video as always so cool to see your analysis
I’m new here, but I love you, oh my god 😂
I love your comments, funny and professional at the same time 😂
And one of the best sponsorships I've ever seen, I laughed so hard, I though I died, thank you so much 😂
5:28 TRANSITION JORDANNNNNNN
I was hoping you would react to them, I’m so happy that you did 🎉
Thanks for reacting to Bouncy! I've been waiting for this one, love your reactions
That one freeze cut which u didn’t liked is my favorite moment in this mv 😅
this mv is one of my fav ateez mv!!
