The riverside walkway, flowerbeds, streetlamps, buildings, stairs, texture and color of everything, bridge, streets connecting to the riverside walkway, their angles and slopes, hell even graffiti on the bridge remind me of the real ones. I''m 99.5% certain that it is real Osijek.

tbh esseker needs to be a litteral vanilla map I think personally it would fit perfect cuz then people can make up different back stories bout it on like how it ended up like the way it is now compared to before the zombie outbreak

i remember esseker from arma 2 dayz. I didn't play a lot but i remember fondly. great to see us come full circle and have some but not all of the things we had TEN YEARS AGO😂 I'm not having a go, i seriously love dayz so much. however i love the private citizen modders more. i hope these great people get time to enjoy their hard work.
@TheRunningManZ just a tip that I believe is still true. The way you can quickly tell if someone is uncon is 1. Breathing 2. They are bleeding(this doesn’t always happen tho so be careful with this one) 3. The legs/feet are not inline with each other. I’m almost certain this one is 100%. The only time a dead person has their feet not inlined is when the get killed while uncon in the first place. Disclaimer tho I haven’t played much in this new update so I guess maybe the feet thing might not be true anymore but I doubt it. I mean I’ve been doing the feet check forever now😂 Edit:I got curious if number 3 was still true and I did happen to see the guy you killed at the end did not fall with his feet inlined. I guess maybe you could of knocked him first with one round then before he fell completely you killed him. I doubt it tho. So maybe number 3 isn’t so anymore. 🥶. That one was my favorite one.

Fantastic as usual, Paul. Your by far my favorite Dayz streamer. Most only care about pvp where as you bring a nice mix of everything. I especially love your passion for the detail and beauty of exploring these worlds. I can't wait to jump in and try Esseker myself. As a diehard Livonia fan, I've been waiting for another lush summer map to enjoy. This looks incredible.
Well, I was watching him play and I was impressed with the map so far. Then he came to this part of the map at 14:03. That looked so familiar to me. I did research and found that this map is based on town called Osijek in Croatia the town I live in. That's pretty freaking cool.

When Livonia was introduced it was called the 'First DLC' for DayZ, so I'm hoping at some point there will be a second DLC that will also likely be a map (as to not put items/mechanics behind a DLC paywall). Sadly, I doubt the modded maps we see made by community members on PC (Namalsk, Deer Isle, Esseker) will ever find their way to console. The amount of money it would take to build a system to give away unvetted modded content for FREE just doesn't make sense. MS and Sony don't like 'unvetted' or 'free' or spending a lot of money facilitating those things. And they sure as fuck can't charge for modded maps/content to recoup their losses when it's all free on PC. Just a hard spot to be in for everyone. Unless you have a PC. ;)
Wow stunning scenery i Wish someone would sweet talk the developer into releasing some maps like this to console also so that everyone could enjoy the amazing details of a beutiful map like this now dont get me wrong chernarus and livonia are both amazing maps but it would be awesome to be able to play on deer isle map and this new map without having to go out and buy a new gaming computer and retiring the xbox wich is what me and my wife may end up doing eventualy tho just so we can try exploring these amazing looking maps...
Esseker isn't a "new" map. It's old map. Any dayz players should know this :D Also it does not take thousand(s) of hours to make a map, especially when it's old map like this that can be copied without imagination taking a role. But in Esseker they should have made it so if the item is under water like it is in the town called Esseker inside the map --> the items should deteriorate. It's pretty stupid that they are in pristine condition while remaining under water for days and days.

I doubt it will ever happen. But you should play on console for a challenge . I play on ps4 and it’s pretty good . Pc is definitely better from all the content I’ve seen( mods , maps)
So devastating Monkee and RonHill gave up on developing Esseker (again).... just like in Arma 3, Esseker definitely would've been probably the best created DayZ map.... and they just left it, unfinished. I know people have tried contacting them to take over the development, I'm actually almost certain HB asked or someone asked for him as well.... and they don't even respond sadly. Esseker was my number 1 highly anticipated DayZ map.... such a shame. 😖

I am about to launch a project, might take a take a year or so to build. I plan to make a south-western US map, probably upscale California/Nevada for location wise. Been designing buildings for years, and has always been an idea of mine. Maybe I'll be lucky and find others interested in helping with it. Probably like a "Western Expanse" or something. All new buildings, new assets, new models, new locations, new play-style, and hopefully it'll become a new boost for DayZ Standalone.
I just wanna say: Jeeeeeesssuuuss, DayZ really did change a lot in last few years. I stopped "following" it (watching streams and vids) a long time ago, like before base-buildings were even a thing, and this definitely looks and feels different. I have mixed feelings about the progress tho, I think I kinda fell in love with that raw DayZ mechanics and with all I've seen now I feel kinda disconnected and alien. Still supporting RMZ, you were one of the great CCs out there. :)

You should be a bit more immersive, instead of constantly talking about everything from a technical game perspective or as a youtuber. Saying "its just for show", or taking "thumbnails" and discussing "spawns" and other things that I feel are a bit of spoilers and takes away from my own immersion. Just have adventures, less tech commentary. Just a thought.

My experience playing that map was terrible there was so much PVP everyone had a gun I cannot find a gun and the zombies would not lock into buildings... I died 3 different times by that helicopter in front of the police station
I'm a console peasant...in very bored of Dayz maps already it's painful watching you on pc and on a new map lol. Also official servers when full are so laggy it's borderline unplayable
Since the day it was released as an Arma 3 Map I played the shit out of it in Arma 3 EXILE. Nice to see that it made its way to "real" DayZ. Even dou I love it on Arma 3 more because there are more mods you can add like Choppers and other Vehicles easier.

My experience playing that map was terrible there was so much PVP everyone had a gun I cannot find a gun and the zombies would not lock into buildings... I died 3 different times by that helicopter in front of the police station

More unconsciousness 100% massively improves the game. Firefights have been so much more fun the last few days with unconsciousness.
I'm a console peasant...in very bored of Dayz maps already it's painful watching you on pc and on a new map lol. Also official servers when full are so laggy it's borderline unplayable
Since the day it was released as an Arma 3 Map I played the shit out of it in Arma 3 EXILE. Nice to see that it made its way to "real" DayZ. Even dou I love it on Arma 3 more because there are more mods you can add like Choppers and other Vehicles easier.
modded,servers cause he has too much inventory. the game is not that fun on regular server
