Hey just a heads up that could save you next time, holding G lets you drop things straight to the ground without using your inventory. I use it to blow people away with grenades.
It’s very easy in the heat of the moment to mess it up and end up in the throw stance too. I’ve done it sometimes but it’s not natural for me in the heat of the moment.
