Never hit my hand, and the slow motion (recorded with the high speed camera) clearly shows that there is a safe distance between the path of the ball and my finger...
It’s really cool seeing how you’ve progressed as a media personality. And you learned that you could do a whole video on one or two weapons and not be boring about it.
Cool! I spent my childhood searching for the best form of a slingshot. Me and dad never managed to make slingshots like those. Your designs are beyond imagination man.
I suggest corundum, it has a very high density. A 17,5 mm coundum stone weighs 10 gramms, as much as a 14 mm steel ball. Not bad! You can find it on ebay, not very expensive,
Well, because someone might attack your home, and these are the only legal weapons left in some countries. Noone gives you any kind of guarantee. Certainly not me. But I have never ever hit my hand when I shot the W.
Good news for you: AFAIK only Y-shaped slingshots are illegal in Australia. This means that the Gloveshot, the "W" frames and the stickshots are legal.
Great video Jorg!! but i do have one question. Have you ever shot yourself while holding a slingshot such as the freddie cougar slingshot where your finger is in the slingshots path. But you have the best slingshots out there!
I only recently stumbled across your channel while researching info on archery and I have to say I absolutely love it. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me, and I can see why the Germans are leaders in innovative engineering. Unfortunately in Australia Sling shots are illegal in most states excluding the territories. Keep up the great work and entertaining vids.
@JOADUE Well, so far 2,400,000 youtubers watched my vids, more than 7,000 subscribed, and I do get mostly positive remarks. I guess the question is who needs comments like yours?
Making it yourself is much more fun, and not hard. Watch my video "Where to get the parts for slingshots". If you want to buy one, join the slingshotforum (free), lots of great tips.
:) sympathischer typ
You're quite an inventor and designer of slingshots. They seem like they're powerful. I guess the ammo you use in the sling is a lot bigger than most bullets used in guns so they would do more damage IF it had the same power as a gun.
Man you have a real eye for it. I used to do the same thing when I was a kid and now I'm 50 and I'm looking for the mail man for rubber bands like I did when I was young. Thank you and the adder is such a great bow... good luck to u sir and hats off to your skill
GREAT JOB!!! I just found your videos and very impressed. Im going to try some homemade inspired by you. I have an old store bought one from the 70s I had since i was a kid with a pistol grip and a rubbernet rist strap and upgraded to large tubes for hunting and targets. It will put a marble right through a jackolantern and very accurate. After watching you, things are about to get a little more technical...and fun. What a great pasttime for me and my sons (7 + 3 ).Thanks a ton!!!
Absolutely gorgeous collection you have there Joerg. My favorite sling at the moment is my Joerg Sprave limited edition Dankung. I love the way my pinky can hold the sling after a hard shot. I have it set up with double theraband gold, each band about 1 1/4 inches wide and 9.5 inches long from tie to attachment. I added a leather wrist band and removed the para-cord so the finger holes would be as big as possible. It feels like a Remington bolt action rifle from the old west. I love this sling!
I also have some wooden slingshots and like them because of the light weight. But metal is my element! What kind of ammo do you use? I guess steel and lead are a no-no if you have to pass through metal detectors.
@thedoe51 For that, only my strongest frames/bands qualify. You don't want to risk the ghoul surviving the hit. I would also use one of my slingshot crossbows to cleansweep an area from a rooftop.
We don’t want any ghouls surviving do we? Here in England we have goblins, trolls and orcs to worry about too! God help you if they survive a hit. Usually a 7 mm ball bearing takes care of them. “Clean sweep”
you have some very interesting designs. they revolve around usability, practicality and function. the most interesting one i've observed is the slingshot with the 'rollers' on the tips. very innovative. what are the differences in output between one with and without rollers? Also, i have a concern for whether these designs will cause some counter backlash onto the fingers when firing. does it come down to the design form to reduce this or is it the type of rubber used to prevent this. thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Wow, youre more informed than I am about the legalities re slingshots in Australia. I didnt realise the ban applied only to the Y type slingshots. I used to make sling shots out of tree forks and red rubber bands when I was a youngster but they had no where near the power that yours have + the bands were chained together and kept breaking a lot. Thx for the info. e about the 80's but never realised that the bans only applied to Y shaped types.
Dear JoergSprave: My channel is made because of you.....Thank you for introducing the world of rubber weapons to me. P.S Do you have any of these sling still?
I also own many commercially made slingshots, in fact all I could find that have no wrist braces (those are indeed illegal here). But this video is 100% about home made slingshots!
I never sell my slingshots. But google huntercatapults, Fish will gladly sell one of his great, inexpensive shooters (in case your daddy is OK with that). As for bands, just use Thera Band Gold. Cut it 23 cm long, 2 cm at the fork and 1,5 cm at the pouch. Easy pull, lots of power. I recommend 8 - 9,5 mm steel balls as ammo, or pebbles.
No other way of saying it, the man's a genius! They're things of beauty Joerg! As for the one with the kinves and the tazer etc. I laughed out loud when I saw that beast. Totally nuts, but in a nice way. Thakns for sharing.
I love your videos your slingshots are so cool I make my own but not as powerful well not yet. I'm gonna buy some thera tube on ebay. Do you hunt with them?
Excellent video, I'm glad I've subscribed, your designs are the most unique I've ever seen.I said it before and I'll say it again, you must have a major in mechanical engineering and it also helps to have a good imagination for such ideas.
I noticed you don't have any wrist rockets in your collection. Do you not like wrist rockets? I like your video & designs though. You seem to have the muscle to draw & steady those sling shots. Nice work!
@acoustifried Sling shots are actually very dangerous weapons. I personally prefer my historic collection of firearms to protect me, but a slingshot can easily enter a human body and deal serious damage. I've often considered getting one, and this vid encourages me in that direction.
hello Joerg, i do a lot of hunting and sometimes,it feels a bit boring when there are no birds, so the idea of one having a sling shot just to pass time feels great...now the "commercial" slingshots we see on ebay or what have you are big, bulky and most of all they don't have "an identity or soul" like yours...so i was wondering if there's a place where i can buy some of your slingshots online...thanks and love your work
Never hit my hand, and the slow motion (recorded with the high speed camera) clearly shows that there is a safe distance between the path of the ball and my finger...
"and this is my 14th slingshot, very strong, I killed a dragon with it yesterday..."
Hahaha 😎
It’s really cool seeing how you’ve progressed as a media personality.
And you learned that you could do a whole video on one or two weapons and not be boring about it.
Back to the time when Joerg didnt know how to laugh..
HA HA HA HA
He still can’t it’s just his best try
@@christopherohare1243 God bless him at least he tries
😂
lol
Well, a less strong shooter has to use weaker bands, that is all. Thanks for the praise!
Mr. Sprave Could you teach me how to make those Slingshots? Please
Cool! I spent my childhood searching for the best form of a slingshot. Me and dad never managed to make slingshots like those. Your designs are beyond imagination man.
@MrChangCJ These fork arms are made from steel. You can drive a truck over the frame.
I like this guy.
he's a genuine nice person
We all do.
I suggest corundum, it has a very high density. A 17,5 mm coundum stone weighs 10 gramms, as much as a 14 mm steel ball. Not bad!
You can find it on ebay, not very expensive,
Old, but still an effective video, still one of the better basic hand slingshot video's on the web.
wow, so you're really serious about this stuff. I admire anyone with so much dedication to a single dicipline.
@markdionne I realize that. Then again, "public disobedience" is not uncommon in the US, which is a good thing.
I actually have used flat bands in the V, works fine. But the flat bands will tear much sooner than the tubes.
awesome to see each shot successively at the end. no matter what weapon, your form stays consistent. inspiring
I just love sick people that are actually very serious about their craft and do genuine experimentation. LOVE THIS GUY.
I've watched loads of Jorg's clips and it's hard not to be impressed by his enthusiasm and ingenuity. Keep up the good work mate.
@acoustifried No, this is what happens if a man found a great hobby.
Against my better judgement, I showed this to my 13 year old son. He is absolutely hooked.
Jörg Sprave must have been a nightmare to neighbors growing up ,broken window panes
He still is....growing up and a nightmare to his neighbors
buru kenge you might be so right:)
His kids must be the most feared in their neighborhood.
buru kenge thank
maybe his father worked as a window repair man ;)
@1crazyfocker No, I have guns as well. But those are loud, smelly, expensive to shoot and you can't make good ones at home.
Great video Jorg!! but i do have one question. Have you ever shot yourself while holding a slingshot such as the freddie cougar slingshot where your finger is in the slingshots path. But you have the best slingshots out there!

fantastic collection ... looks like we will be having a slingshot museum in the future. Nicely done simple video
this video is awesome and you are awesome, never stop posting
I have to say, that self defence slingshot was ridiculous but I would own one of those.
Joerg, you really have great designs using great material.
Never saw this classic. Very glad Joerg has gotten more creative over the last decade.
@JOADUE Well, so far 2,400,000 youtubers watched my vids, more than 7,000 subscribed, and I do get mostly positive remarks. I guess the question is who needs comments like yours?
I love how you are so passionate about your hobby. Some of your designs are quite ingenious as well.
that one kinda aged weird
Making it yourself is much more fun, and not hard. Watch my video "Where to get the parts for slingshots". If you want to buy one, join the slingshotforum (free), lots of great tips.
i am very impressed at your ability to create such unique and powerful slingshots
My comment is to show I care and support your videos. -Big Thumbs Up.

Ganz fantastisch gemacht, Herr Sprave! Ha ha ha ha ha! I enjoyed viewing its features! Ha ha ha ha ha!
After all this time brother I can still say you do a great job. I get inspired by your videos every time I watch them. Keep inventing J .
I must be done for the night,. last night I watched this guy for 6 hours. Very great guy
People who don't watch youtube pass by this man every day, ignorant of the superpowers hidden within.
Man you have a real eye for it. I used to do the same thing when I was a kid and now I'm 50 and I'm looking for the mail man for rubber bands like I did when I was young. Thank you and the adder is such a great bow... good luck to u sir and hats off to your skill

All the videos you post are really inspiring and really make me want to build my own crossbow and sling shot. Brilliant designs!
crazy slingshots jorg
Best slingshots in the world!!

Self defense slingshot looks dangerous! That vertical slingshot is a very neat design.
Joerg makes the best stuff ever.
I also have some wooden slingshots and like them because of the light weight. But metal is my element!
What kind of ammo do you use? I guess steel and lead are a no-no if you have to pass through metal detectors.
Put a rubber on and your in business! Really great designs Joerg!

@XzebraXboy You know, foul language manages to underline your lack of intelligence. It is time for you to move on.
Very nice work . I will made some for my self for next trip to Europe .
you have some very interesting designs. they revolve around usability, practicality and function. the most interesting one i've observed is the slingshot with the 'rollers' on the tips. very innovative. what are the differences in output between one with and without rollers? dude your self defense slingshot is insane!!! the dude who tries 2 mug you if you have that on you .. is in for a huge surprise
Das ist mein Hobby. An Geld bin ich nicht interessiert.
This channel is awesome.
Dang I did not realize this was such a long standing channel!
Wonderfull! I apreciate that you can find the necessary time to design this wonderfull weapons! In this moment,Germany is the best country ever!
I like really like your channel! Awesome
Almost 2020.....
Great video...!!🐥
Sir! You are a genius .Thanks só much

Nothing shy of amazing, nice work Joerg.
I am really digging the bands inside the body of the slingshot concept
Man, your sling shots are amazing.
The glove idea is very good. You should try a double shot slingshot.
No other way of saying it, the man's a genius! They're things of beauty Joerg!
As for the one with the kinves and the tazer etc. I laughed out loud when I saw that beast. Totally nuts, but in a nice way.
Thakns for sharing.
Awesome video man, a cool idea would be a knuckle duster slingshot combo with knuckle spices and stuff for close combat :)
some amazing sling shots
nice one jorg
Your a good man! Reminds me of my uncle and the sling shots he made us out of wire
You are my long lost german brother! I swear you and I could be clones. The bow shaped vertical sling is incredible! I love them all!!!!!
Amazing to see the changes in ergonomics since this video came out!
Wow! Your channel has been around for a while, and it is still going strong. Even getting better!
So...you use these slingshots for both self-defense and sport or?
Nice garden by the way, I'm envious now :P
You've grown a long way as a UA-cam creator, well done :) I enjoy all your videos
I loved them all i can't decide which one I liked the most
Wow, you showed us their features .....but omitted to announce the fact! 😉 I feel somehow cheated?
Well done, nice vid and nice slingshots. thumbs up
I love your videos your slingshots are so cool I make my own but not as powerful well not yet. I'm gonna buy some thera tube on ebay. Do you hunt with them?

Cool man! Very nice! Time to make some slingshots!

@EdgarInventor Or you can cough up the money and buy a chrony. I am currently on my third, destroyed the first two (accidentially).
