Lyrics:
In sweet rejoicing,
now sing and be glad!
Our hearts' joy
lies in the manger;
And it shines like the sun
in the mother's lap.
You are the alpha and omega!
Magnificent! What a fantastic arrangement and performance!
Took me way too long to find this song in German (and Latin). It just doesn't sound right in English. (And I don't speak German!!)
Habe eine Weihnachts-CD von Euch bei meinen Eltern gefunden - wunderschön! ♥️
Ausgezeichnet!
Vielen Dank!
Transendingly beautiful❣️
Thank you so much!
Excellent and amazing
Lovely!
Erinnert mich an das singen aus demGrote in derKantorei Apostelkirche Dresden Trachau mit KMD Albrecht.
Text:
In dulci jubilo
Let us our homage shew;
Our heart's joy reclineth
In praesepio
And like a bright star shineth
Matris in gremio.
Alpha es et O!
O Jesu parvule,
I yearn for thee alway!
Hear me, I beseech thee,
O Puer optime!
My praying let it reach thee,
O Princeps gloriae!
Trahe me post te!
O Patris caritas,
O Nati lenitas!
Deeply were we stained
Per nostra crimina;
But thou for us hast gained
Coelorum gaudia,
O that we were there!
Ubi sunt gaudia,
Where, if that they be not there?
There are angels singing
Nova cantica,
There the bells are ringing
In Regis curia:
O that we were there!
Wunderschön ! Aber wie lauten in der letzten Strophe die beiden ersten Verse? (2:22)
Statt O patris caritas / O matris lenitas, wie in der 3. Strophe, heißt es in der 5. Strophe anders, aber was??? O pater ......???? O soter vanitas???
Beautiful. nevertheless faster than my ears want to deal with
Don't know what they're singing, but they sure sound good singing it.
Thank you!
