Steve always goes for the simple fix first. This saves the homeowner a ton of money 💰. 👍
Fingers crossed on that one! 😊
I remember my Dad and Brother replaced the Cast Iron plumbing in our house with PVC. I was 12 years old and we connected the PVC sewer pipe with the cast iron with a Rubber connector tightened with Stainless clamps. I told my Dad that it looked half-assed. I am 67 now and as far as I know, the Rubber with the "Clampetts" is still holding up well after all these years!
@@GeorgeBalow i could never figure it out
Steve tell miss Molly that my dog is a big fan of hers. We put your videos up on the TV and our dog sees her in your truck and tries to talk to her by barking.
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
“Any leaks? I’m gonna flush it but give me a minute” 💩
That’s where my mind went 🙃
That's some old copper s**t there Steve. Probably 100 years old.
Time for Flex Seal !
you flush your toilet by Faith (bye, bye brown potato), not leaking in walls on construction wood, or collecting under house. WE Flush by faith!!
That guy has given that toilet a pretty good blast! 🤣
Great Video. Thank you for sharing
its a leaker momma lol hello from eddie from leak master plumbing !!
I'll say a prayer for the lady, Good job Steve, you tried your best, not everything is perfect.
Hey Steve Menards has some nice copper tank bolts I have used many times good stuff he’s a real workingman mama
That would have been a nightmare to take apart. Steve and the epoxy saved the day!
I would recommend a mini wrench set specifically for toilet jobs. They're so useful in the right situation
The "Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" on this one Steven!!!
Time for a re-pipe on that old house. When did they stop using copper for waste line fittings? A nice band aid fix!
I never thought I would see the day when Steve used glue to fix a pipe :-) I do understand, it was a band aid until she gets the pipes replaced.
The big box store also sells an epoxy that can be applied to wet areas in order to stop an active leak.
I remember trying to use epoxy for a cracked oil pan on log splitter. Tried 4 times. Never worked for me. Nice job Steve
@@willydavid Haha. So true
Honestly I plugged a hole in the bottom of an oil pan on my old F150 pickup with JB weld. I drained the oil for 24 hours. Scrubbed the area around the hole with a wire brush and rubbing alcohol. Rolled the JB weld into a pointed cone shape. Stuffed the point up into the hole and spread the JB weld out to about 2 inches diameter all around the hole. Let it sit for 2 days untouched. Then I filled the oil back up and drove it for about 5 more years with no issue. It's a true story. Maybe I got lucky.
I was maintenance for a large nursing home. imagine concrete floors and cast iron pipes 65 yrs old. X 48 rooms! NIGHTMARE.
Saved the old guy a few bucks. Thanks Steven!
He's one brave soul. That far along to having the tank off and not changing the tank to bowl gasket. Then to find out the toilet isn't leaking. I need some of that epoxy.
Yeah, when you're dealing with 80+ year old houses you never know what you're going to run into 🤦🤦🤦 you see and find all kinds of next level madness 😂😂😂
Good job Steve!
good enough for the neighborhood momma!
Sweet fix Steve, I loved the fact that you had to leave to other jobs! You did it all correct! ☝️👍💥💯👌
I used JB Weld epoxy on my automobile gas tank, had a small gas leak. It worked very well. Stopped the gasoline leak instantly. Good fix Steve that will hold it another 50 years.
Good work, you know it's the workin man that keeps the economy going, keeps America strong
Howdy Steve and Molly
was wondering Steve could you have brazed that hole shut on that type of copper?
Ratchet wrench works good for the long ones.
That’s some serious sh*t pipe goin on!
We got a leaka momma!
Job from hell. Old thin copper. Old lead piping. Good enough for this neighborhood. Thank you Steve.
Good job Steve when you start getting into all that old cast iron pipe all that old plumbing you will open up a can of worms from hell
As soon as i saw the leak, I thought about how big of a job that would be. Epoxy was at least worth a shot. Used it many times.
Steve for President !!!!
That’s a true “shit show” momma!
Steve, another great video. Could you mix in a John Deere project again?
Toilet tank bolts can be a b**ch. I've used a nut splitter on a few that were corroded or stripped with good success. At any rate - not much room to work for sure.
LEAKAH!!!!
@@willydavid you gone woke bro if you think that was a slight. Great videos.
Steven, that’s a definitely a Shit Show 😂😂😂
Steve is not the talking type mama.
Multi-tool woulda cut that bolt right off
He's got a Leaka Momma.
Hello Steve!
You just leave mrs Molly in the truck while you work?
cordless saw all much faster
Too risky for cutting into the washer. Steve knows what he is doing.
@@ross2521 Yeah, Cordless saw with porcyln toilet? Not good. That thing would vibrate and scratch or break the toilet
never did that on the job 49yrs
@@MaMa-qh4dy
Time for an electrical tape handle on that blade momma....
Are you a praying woman? 😂😂😂
That's amazing, that huge curved copper pipe. One expensive piece of history.
I would like to know your professional opinion of what you think about Roth tanks?
