I'm so glad I made the event. Early on I wasn't sure I could swing it having just got back from South Dakota. A very memorable experience solidified with this awesome video. Thank you Jonny, Sasha, John, Jim, and Elaine for sharing time with me. Let's not forget all the incredible people that made the event possible and all the great folks we had the pleasure to meet.
Jonny thanks you for showcasing one of America’s biggest, if not the biggest, shooting events. The National Complex is definitely a sight to see. The talent that shoots this event is extraordinary. 👍
Excellent video Jonny. Shout out and many congrats to my friend and teacher Nick Berry on winning the Fitasc and will be representing team USA in Hungary!
What an event! Jonny, Sasha you guys hit it out of the park again! Jim and Elaine from from Longthorn thank you so much for the use of the Ti-barreled gun, it is truly amazing!! Guys to say I knew you back in the day and watch the channel grow is nothing short of an honor! The video sums up our few days at the Nationals perfectly and thanks for not mentioning how badly I shot😜 You guys rock!!!
Loved the video. I’m an American that mostly hunts and rarely shoots clay, but this event looks so much fun. Definitely going there one of these years.
Yet another great video from Team TGS. I won't pretend I'm not jealous that you got to go. Whilst we do have some great events here in the UK it does make ours seem small by comparison! What I really like is the idea of so many Vendors attending, something that you really don't get enough of, even at the big UK shoots.
Incredible video Johnny !!!! Looks like the Longthorne has hit the US market now, with some dealers now stocking this incredibly built O/U. Surprised this video was only 26 minutes, as it could have been longer, but I know you can only show so much. Just a fantastic time for everyone- we thank you for taking time to visit, and shoot. You all have our utmost respect- and I hope to see you next year at the Nationals in San Antonio. Keep up the brilliant work. All your videos are top notch, and keep getting better. Regards, Rob in Missouri
So glad you enjoyed yourself! Got into shooting competitive trap back when I was in college. Love how the clay sports are such a mental game. I was always in awe of how friendly of an atmosphere it was at the Grand American. Anyway, best wishes from Kentucky!
Great video! I mostly stick to trap (ever been to the Grand American?), but I live in San Antonio, so I try to get out to nationals every year. I ran into James (Stewart) this year and was introduced to, and very impressed by, the Longthorne guns. I didn't realize you were there too, Jonny. I'm a big fan!
Good Day Johnny I love the fact your back in the U.S.of A. again . Your group also having more fun than a kids in a candy shop. You need to get Mr.Ed over here soon. Beers up Johnny 🍻🍻🍻
Love the great video. So glad that you attended the event. It is really different than the UK events I see on your videos. You and the rest of the group should return next year and shoot the Main event.
Jonny - another great video! Have loved your content for years. I used to compete in Olympic Pistol events and one of the things I really liked about the sport is that we could be at a World Cup competing our hearts out and once the last shot was fired and the awards given, we could all go out for a beer together. Swiss, German, Korean, Chinese, etc. the sport transcended national differences and we all loved it. I see a lot of that same spirit here. Glad you got to head over and see how the Yank’s do it. Looking forward to seeing you here again!👍
Just started shooting myself in my sixties really enjoying it wish I had started long ago, really enjoy your channel great content I’ve learned so much over a short time and you keep a great fun aspect to it keep it up brill 👍
Always enjoy the TGS channel and Ed ‘Handsome’ Solomons lesson content. However, I’m feeling a TGS meets TSC collaboration would be good. Maybe where you get a lesson from David Florent? He could appraise the Longthorne’s recoil system / pad. Maybe subscribers could have a drinking game - whenever David mentions ‘comb height’ ‘nice little gun’ ‘your local shooting school’ or ‘if you have a Longthorne, comment below’
I really enjoy your channel and so glad that you visited the US and got to know our take on this sport. If you ever decide to Visit Mississippi, I would love to host you at some of our excellent state ranges, and also maybe treat you to some other unofficial American takes on the sport.
JC, can we pleeeeeaase campaign for the matrix to come to the uk!! It’s such a great twist on the game! Maybe get some folk from here and ask Barbury or similar to host in their field? ;) if you tried matrix, what did you score? The video is what I’ve missed for the last month, and can’t wait for hull and beretta tours! I hope you’re rested too as you looked a little frazzled last week! Keep safe! Ps Sasha your work is on point, you’re the best addition to JC that tgs have had! World class editing and filmography! (And congrats on passing your driving test)
Another one that will surely impress you would be The Grand American (World Trapshooting Championships) that's held annually, in August, in Sparta, Illinois, at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex. In 2024 will be the 125th edition (I bet it's gonna be some celebrations. ) You need to plan one year in advance, though...
Excellent video! Thank you for the quality content. I'll make sure to share this on socials. You should try to attend the Western Regionals this upcoming year in Colorado. Shoot some targets at high altitude. If you have any questions, reach out :)
Great video and great display of what the real American gun culture is like. It’s not at all what the media portray. Some of the finest people I’ve met were on gun ranges and trap fields.
Fantastic video, as always; you need to make a new video soon on the Matrix Clay Target Challenge. It would be a great video you and Ed Solomons could put on.
I've invited you before Johnny to come and try the different trap disciplines and you replied saying you'd rather pierce your eyes 🤣 Now imagine all those going away targets that you could have dusted! 😅😅😅 Love the video btw
for me in US standards I have some higher end firearms, but my favorites are the worn down hand me down farm guns. not worth much to others, worth everything to me
Hello Mr. Carter, Jonny if I may. You share how the lead expectations on targets are so asymmetrical between America and the UK in the sporting/FITASC shooting games. Hmmm? This is raising my curiosity. Am I to understand that targets answer to another set of rules of physics in your yard on this planet? I'll probably never shoot as well as you do, but "tongue in cheek" could you make a video of this significant observation?
The targets are different shapes and very different weights. Meaning the flight paths are different, but the black disk in the sky looks the same to your brain. Hard to unlearn your natural reaction and lead to a target you think you have seen before!
Thanks so much for the wonderful video. May I ask what shotgun (make/model) your shooting buddy has on the 9:52 minute of this video? It’s the shotgun with silver barrel; something I’ve never seen before. Thanks dearly!
The National Rifle Association Of India conducts the national championship every year. The Championship (Rifle, Pistol, & Shotgun) plays host to about 12,000 competitors once a year. New entrants of these athletes need to go through a qualification system from districts to states to zonal's & finally the Pre-nationals in order to qualify shooting the nationals. There after a national squad of about 285 athletes (Seniors & Juniors). India boasts the youngest national shooting team in the world. It ranked 2nd at the just concluded World Championship and No.1 on the medal table as a combined total of the last competitive year in the ISSF World Cups. It admittedly however failed at the Olympics, though ranked 1 in the Asian Games & The Commonwealth Games. The NRAI & Team India are aiming to change the poor olympic record at the forthcoming Paris Games. It currently has secured 3 Olympic quota places and fielded 15 athletes in Tokyo. So my friend whilst there is no doubt that the US Shotgun nationals are an awesome festival of olympic shooting, as u said ...the sheer scale of the championship is so big.... try attending our nationals. Scales will be re calibrated me thinks 😊

Had a grate time meeting you guys from the UK. As a native Texan we welcome you with our best wishes for a grate time
what is a 'grate" time? at such a great venue?

Glad you guys had fun in Texas! You're welcome anytime! Really enjoy your channel and keep up the great work.
Me and my American mates are definitely putting this on the bucket list shoots, same with the U.S Open Shoot
Excellent video Jonny.
Shout out and many congrats to my friend and teacher Nick Berry on winning the Fitasc and will be representing team USA in Hungary!

Hope it lives up to expectations
It always exceeds my expectations. That is why TGS productions are the best in the world
Hello TGS, this looked totally awesome and loved the little bit that you could show us.
We think big in the US notwithstanding the Admin. Great y'all had fun!!
TGS has great content, with life being so busy you always cant get out in the field, watching this kind of content fills that void. Thanks

Really nice job with this video! I felt like I was there all over again!!!! Hope to catch you next time you’re in the States!!
Thanks for providing this and taking us along. I am going to have to mark my calendar for next year. Adding it as an event to attend.
You've got some cool mates Jonny, Sasch is still doing you proud on the AV don't irritate him too much 🤣🤣🤣
That was a good one. Until now I did not appreciate the differences in speed, weight, and presentation. Thanks!!!

But with a English twist to it of course !

Oh to have that over here😛😍
I live in San Antonio how haven’t i known about this? I’ve been living under a rock apparently
The man who runs the 5 stand is all over at the shoots I go to (texas 4-h) and he always has amazing birds
Also the dude that pulled it had pulled for me a multitude of times
Edit: one of the kids from my club won an award!

Could you imagine if the UK had a gun culture like the US does? Imagine the guns they would’ve come up with.
Can you post the song list?
