I'm glad you don't yell at him. You are his first love and trust, and if we yell at him, he will feel shame and guilt . Some parents would yell over very little things, and they need to realize children have not lived long as us. What they do and see is the first time compared to us grown up seeing things over a 100 times.

xiaxue is such a good parent. when i first know that xiaxue was having a kid, i thought that the kid is gonna be spoiled and horrible but it turns out to be smart and well-behaved. ahh family goals

I love how you being an assertive mom towards Dash. Like when he threw the book to the floor you scolded him and told him that it was a bad behavior and its not a good thing to do. It's good tho. Coz some mom will be like laughing and thinks that the behavior is cute. Pretty sure he'll turn good when he grow up. This is how a mother should educate their children.
I'm really impressed by the effort you put in to develop him mentally :) I think most people used to assume you were a little shallow or something because of your surgeries and hair etc but this really shows how much you care and I really admire you for this :))

As someone from the US, i wasn't really sure of how famous Xia Xue actually was until i seen a few more videos. The more i watched though, the more i realized people didn't particularly like her too much and i just wonder, why? Cause she curses more than the average blogger? Look at this video, just watch it. Xia Xue is such a wonderful person, and a truly terrific mother. I didnt even know children could learn so much so fast! I don't have any children, but when and if i do, i honestly hope i can still recollect on these videos to help me. Make an updated education video as i hear Dash is in school now! I'd love to see what all he's gained since then and how he's enjoying himself! Much love from the East coast xoxo
I think it does have to do with the fact that this is Asia and we're less open about our thoughts (not saying whether it's a good thing or bad thing) . And also Xiaxue is infamous for having been sued by another blogger Dawn a few years back and she's been super salty all along about it

yeah children learn much faster b/w 1-6 year..its good to teach them in home by parents as my parents did..but nowadays parents don't have time so they send them to school in a very early age like two years or less..its not good.they learn more and better from family member than school teacher, who has to manage more than 2 students for hours..
Actually this is the worst situation in Indian family nowadays..parents give them money but not value and love they seeking for.
p.s- i said parents bcz its *a responsibility* of both.

wendy, like what you said about using the word "refrigerator", my mom told me what she felt about a similar topic like this one, the other day too. She told me that many moms will choose to shorten words and use other "baby words" in replacement of the actual words when talking to their babies but why not just say "banana" instead of "nana"(for e.g) because that's the word that your baby will have to learn to say anyway. If you keep saying "nana" THEN one day decide to say "banana", that could in fact cause more confusion to the baby.

Xiaxue is such a great mom. Dash is so polite and also listen and follows rules. Lots of babies spend almost every waking hour with digital objects and are addicted to it but dash barely spends all day with the iPad.

I think that when you talk to your child you are feeding his brain.If you don't tell him the names of the things (like the appliances ) he will still learn the names but he will be much older. You are a great parent.
