For the pallet situation, I know Costco uses CHEP pallets which is rental based so don't need to worry about disposal. So all their vendors need to follow the CHEP pallet too, and you transfer the pallets through the portal.
As an ex- recycler with tons of cardboard, You are losing good money not crushing your own cardboard and wire wrapping it, palletizing it for pickup. Cardboard can be held outside of building until you get a full truck load. We also had our own Siran wrapped. Save so much time. We actually got paid for cardboard and they sent trucks to pick up. The customer paid us. 😮We retro fit a box crusher to make it work for us. It took up very small footprint, wired it in to building . Cardboard was separated by color, or covered in plastic or plain. Each tonnage of each group pays differently for each type cardboad.
Hey does anyone want's to buy bulk inventories. I am letting go of my thrifted clothes and shoes. I would like to fucos in just one category. Everything is already photographed,measured and listed. We can easily transfer inventories from my closet to yours as I have a list perfectly subsciption.

Depends on the area. I think he said his warehouse is cali so it’s a barely live able wage for most families unless you’re one person.

Try slicing open boxes at a angle greater than 45 degrees rather then straight down, so you cut into the flap and not into the product.
Also, use an adjustable utility knife with full and half open positions for the blade.
One pallet should be packed no taller than the smallest warehouse worker to prevent head injury if the top boxes fall
