I was in high school when those hit the market, by the end of a month every guy and not more than a few girls had one hanging on their belt. Oddly enough no teacher ever as far as I know ever made a comment about weapons in school. Of course it was a semi rural school, never saw one pulled in anger either. Great repair!
I've had a smaller one for 30 odd years Charlie I need to make another blade for it I've worn an inch off the end with sharpening it over the years great knives cheers. 👍
@@LozHarrop One of the joys of being a shade tree mechanic is stuff disappears 🤦♂️ lost mine about the same time you got yours! LOL And no I'm not blaming LOZ for it's loss, I have left knives screwdrivers.____,, across a dozen states and three foreign countries and one extraterrestrial space ship (I live in NM it was an emergency job)
Nicely done and well worth doing. They're nice, dependable tools those Buck lockbacks - carried the smaller version for years until the law changed and got very attached to it.
Awsome video mate 👍 just shows your skill set to be able to repair other knives aswell especially more difficult with it being a peened folder rather than screws.......almost as good as a scotty refurb 😂😂😂..... Nah top work mate 👍
Enjoy watching your videos. Good job on the Buck repair. Buck knives will fix their knives for free. They might even mail the part but you made short work out of it. I don't live too far from Buck knives.
because buck are made in usa or china depending on the knife which would mean maybe sending to the states or waiting while the uk supplier sends it away to be repaired it was easier for me to do the fix on it.
Impeccable work and detailed description. I applaud your results.
thank you

I sent mine to the factory in California, fixed it, polished it and returned to me, no charge.
It was close to 15 years old at the time
Great job, that characteristic "snick" of the lock engaging is excellent on the repair.
yea nice noise that bud cheers
Luck man having a friend like you.........Most of what I know to date about knife construction comes from your channel cheers..............
Thanks Frankie Im pleased that ive been able to help you out mate.
Lovely classic knife. Nice save.
Thanks Rob, yea worth the effort.

Thank you very much!
You're a talented guy. Well-done! (As of 2/2024, these base model classic Buck 110s are $65 usd.)
Excellent job came out perfectly. I have one doing the same thing where should I send it to you to be repaired. Just kidding unless you want to.
lifetime warranty on those buck knives but very nice repair job
Cheers Bert 👍
Buck has a lifetime warranty just send it back to them they may not be quick but it's free and they'll do it properly😮
It took 3 months when sent one that bought used paid for a new blade they polished it and it looked better than new. Worth the wait.
Better than new ❤
Great work
Takes a lot of abuse to hurt one of those old bucks! They're damn near bulletproof in my experience!
Yea agreed mate, cheers.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
It has a forever warranty for a reason 😅
it has but here in the UK go to the suppliers whitby and co and ask them if they will replace a broken back spring? Ill wait for your answer.
35 or 45 hrc? I couldn't tell with the accent
around 45 mate
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nice !!!!!!
Why not send it to Buck and have it repaired under their lifetime waranty?

That Buck 110 was made in Post Falls, Idaho. USA.
