My husband has a buck 110 elite auto. That buck makes now in-house. It was a third party conversion but they gave the people what they wanted a full buck made 110 auto if you can own buy one Blade ops I think still sells them ima buy him a new one this year
It's always a pleasure to see your superb work Kyle - every episode is a pleasure, thank you so much for all your hard work, it is really appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family from all of us who watch you in the UK.
Great video. What I learned is that I don't have the tools or patience for this type of thing. I could develop the ability but it would take practice. I love watching craftsmen do their thing. The end result is fantastic. I am just a city boy who will have to either use Buck's custom shop or consign someone else to do it, for the time being anyway.
I understand completely, friend. This knife was completed for a client, and I can do the same for you if needed. I'm just an email away. weiderfan.business@gmail.com
First time watching this man, i don't know how i even got here, but i love this guy. Explains everything and why. He either got it from his Grandfather or had great teachers. Wasn't going to buy a buck or do any work on a knife, but i will now. Thank you brother. From San Diego California. ✌️🦁 Ps, i don't even own any knives. But i do love art. And that is what you do. God bless.
Great video Kyle. I did learn a great deal. I regularly carry a Buck 110, unless I’m in the field and then I carry the knife you made for me. I have several Buck 110’s in my collection and your video has given me the confidence to make a custom version with new scales. Thank you Cheers.
You make it look easy . I can see that you take your time and go slowly . Keep a close eye on how much material you remove . Keep checking the profile of the piece . Beautiful work .
Very good work and excellent tutorial! I am 64 years young and have been blessed to have been taught by many very good masters in the trades and in doing metalwork. You have a great way of teaching. I am DEFINITELY subscribing to your channel. Keep up the good work! 😊
Wow, that was impressive. I think I'd like to give it a try once I retire next year. I'm a long-haul trucker and only home for a few days each month, so no extra time for now. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely learned alot. More than enough to get started. Looking forward to giving it a try. Probably going to use a knock off first to get the hang of it. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video, instructions and entertaining . Also Bucks don't rust. I carried a Buck Special in Nam '67-68. I thought I had rust on it once, it turned out to be some coconut juice I hadn't gotten wiped off. Sadly I never got home with it. I have several smaller sheath knives and have carried the 110 pocket knives for many years. For the price they can't be beat. Sadly I see some Buck knives made in China now ? a old combat vet
That knife is absolutely stunning !! It looks so classic. I'm not sure why , but it reminds me of a knife my grandfather had. My goodness, it's perfect. Wicked job Kyle 👍
I found a knife like the Buck 110 about 20 years ago. About 10 years ago I started to carve my own designs and made it personal. Love to see it happen here.
Buck Knives are some of the best made. I am pushing 60 years old and have owned them for years. Some times here in the USA you can pick the 110 up for around 20 bucks new. Open package or returns.
I'd have thought that Buck would have copies some of your creations by now, beautiful work, every one of them. I would love to own one, but for the life of me I can't make up my mind which version I'd want.
Well done! That knife is absolutely gorgeous. I learned a lot from your video--mainly to not attempt to do this myself less I want to totally ruin my 110 :) You have a wonderful talent, sir. Thank you for sharing the video.
Beautiful job. I got a kick out of his mention of Canadian Tire. I discovered them on my motor home trip from the lower 48 to Alaska. A real man store if there ever was one!
Glad I found your channel Kyle, just subscribed. I am looking to customize a 110 as a gift for a buddy of mine, just have a couple questions. Where do you get those scale blanks? Or can you just use whatever wood you’d like? Also, is there a specific type of epoxy you find works best? Keep up the great work. Regards from the Adirondacks, John
Hi Kyle. Just came across your videos-they are great to watch and you do beautiful work! I am recovering from shoulder surgery and came across a buck 112 and wondering if you do work for people? I would love to carry a custom knife. Please let me know if you do work on others knives. Thank you and have a good night
Do you sand the brass to get better adhesion before glueing up the scales? Just found you channel not long ago, I am really enjoying the content, thanks and keep up the good work. Stay sharp my friend!!!
I want one of your custom built buck knives. How can I get one? I'm also a Dr nut! I had an anniversary buck knife from 1988 from when I graduated high school from my grandfather but when I went in the military they took it from me and I never got it back I've always loved buck knives and I've had many but a custom bolt one would be awesome. Please give me a price and please tell me how to purchase one of your knives. I'm a huge fan! Would love to visit Newfoundland to see you in action!
yes it can 😊 But renember: the new Buck Stockman/ Trappers are made in China (its nothing bad about it but when i customizing Buck Knifes i will usw US made knifes... customing china knifes feels wrong)
I've done a couple scale changes on 110's. My question is if you cut the back strap pin to about .5 to 1 mm below the liner why does it have to be peened? I never have and found, the glued on handles hold it in without any issues.
you dont have to peeked the back strap pin 🤷♂️ Yes the Handles hold the pin very well and fine 😊 I do a lot custom handle Bucks this way, no probleme here 🤷♂️
Very clean looking buck right there. Great job Kyle. Dane said he sent you a new idea for a knife he wanted you know that means there will be 2 that will need to come to California again😁😁
Great video, I however was disappointed somewhat. I will admit that I was hoping to see How you re pinned the scales. I could have used that information. But other than that,,, The scales are gorgeous everything is superior quality. Truly a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing. Cheers! au revoir!
Best and clearest instruction I have seen on UA-cam in a long while - great work!
This is outstanding work! I don't know why it never occurred to me to do some dress up work on knives I already have. Beautiful example here!
My husband has a buck 110 elite auto. That buck makes now in-house. It was a third party conversion but they gave the people what they wanted a full buck made 110 auto if you can own buy one Blade ops I think still sells them ima buy him a new one this year
I love the file work especially how it looks when the knife is open. Incredible craftsmanship! Thanks!
GREAT video! BTW, we really enjoyed our travels around Newfoundland a few years back. Your little area of the world is gorgeous.
One of the best looking bucks I've seen man! From the passion to the craftsmanship is truly astounding!
It's always a pleasure to see your superb work Kyle - every episode is a pleasure, thank you so much for all your hard work, it is really appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family from all of us who watch you in the UK.
Your craftsmanship is something to look up to. Nice work

The best knife video I've seen. Nice work! What a beautiful knife. Keep them coming.
Thanks a lot!! I'm just getting into knife making and possibly modding knives as well. Your videos like this are great. Keep it up.
Great work buddy!!!
You just gave me a bunch of ideas for a couple of folding knives in my drawer that have seen better days!
Thanx!!!
Great video and nice work Kyle. I especially like how you honoured your grandfather with that story. Class act!

There are a few of their models now made overseas, but the old classics like the 110 is still American made!
That knife is absolutely stunning !! It looks so classic. I'm not sure why , but it reminds me of a knife my grandfather had. My goodness, it's perfect. Wicked job Kyle 👍
Perhaps your grandpa had one? Buck 110's are everywhere!
I love all your videos!
