So many good ppl on drugs I’m so happy my sister found a good man who whipped her in shape after 20 years of living on the streets with my mom. My mom has changed as well it’s a struggle everyday with her to stay clean but I’m still praying for strength for everyone who struggles.

My Charlie was friends with him before Charlie passed away 2 yrs ago. He knew him from over by the halfway house and he is a great man. So kind just sick from the drug and the only way people can get help is if you have money it's awful 😢 😭

Why don’t you ask them questions. Like; when you start? Why? With who? The last time you had a place etc. we as viewers wanna hear the story. I think the stories help us to prevent, be aware, see the signs before this result
So I'm 38 now and have been running and gunning the streets of STL for close to 25 years. Thats gotten me OVER 13 years of my life in MODOC. Fast forward to today and I've been clean since October 18, 2019. So what does it matter who he used with, when, why, or anything else ??? As a "CLEAN" addict its safe for me to say that (for the most part) US addicts usually have similar stories but with some variations of those stories. Not only do we have similar stories but we normally share a lot of the same traits. I'm not saying WE are all the same but what I am saying is that its more of OUR "foundations" that are the same. Yes there is always exceptions and other factors that came/come into play. So if you ask 1 addict to tell his or her story out of a room of 49 others (total of 50) and at the end of the story you tell those other 49 people to stand if you can relate to what was just said I guarantee that more than half of them will be standing. The people that have remained seated are those exceptions and other factors. But anyways the point the things you said to be asked about THEY DONT MATTER (for us anyways). But for him and him alone they matter. Looking at his past and identifying the cause of his addiction should be the first step into the right direction of recovery. Then once that happens he can move forward with the knowledge of what will trigger him into a full-blown relapse. Full-blown relapse meaning..... the physical act of using the drug or drugs. Bc a relapse is actually begins inside of us. And its what "we" do after that thought is what is important and actually vital to remain clean. Changing one's PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS Will be detrimental to an individual's recovery AFTER that first step of recognizing the reasons of why his addiction has taken over his life and left him powerless in regards to being able to just say no and or not giving in to the temptation that will forever call out his name.
Methadone is just a way the government can make a buck off of a person's unfortunate situation. In very few cases it works He is 100% correct. Crazy to substitute 1 for another. This man has the drive to succeed just needs the door held open for him.

I seen young guys go to bonne terre prison and still get out on heroin I don't think there's a cure. You're done when it comes to that sorry
