Review I watched before this had no complaints with the drive or the engine. I think some reviewers are just cvt prejudice. I say test drive it and make your own judgment
It looks beautiful. But for 53K for a CVT? No way. I’d easily get the Acura RDX. I really wanted your review to be good for this one. I’m hoping Infiniti can turn it around. It does crack me up that people say they like the dual screens and people hated Acura for doing that.
@@dioralcide8490 you're an overnight Genesis fanboy. We get it. But this is an Infiniti video review. Go praise Hyundai in a Hyundai/ Genesis video review
Very surprised that it has 8.6 inches of ground clearance. I think a 8 or 9 speed auto would've been a way smarter move for Nissan here. I was hoping for more a difficult test in the snow just to see what the limits are for the AWD system
Smart thinking Ryan about not handing the press car back scratched up. We all know there was another UA-cam auto channel that decided to destroy a Subaru deep off road. The best part was them getting mad and trash taking Subaru for years after because Subaru didn’t trust them with another car. Not all auto journalists are created equal, so I enjoy watching the good ones when I find them.

"reliability" compared to what? All vehicles now are highly reliable especially when it comes to powertrains. I had an Infiniti Q50 '14. It was considered "less reliable", but that was based on infotainment which was slow to load. I put 120,000 miles on it and it was the first car I ever had that did not need a single warranty repair. Nothing. Just brakes , wipers, etc. Now I have a Ford Ranger and same thing. When people say "reliability" they need to quailify that. The odds a new vehicle will leave someone stranded is very very low. Ofcourse it can happen, but compared to the 90s or "00s not even close.

Ryan, A question will be followed by a suggestion. A year ago many wondered whether Infiniti would still be around in 2022. Has the future of Infiniti become more.... infinite? In regard to your black baseball cap, if budgetary considerations permit it, would it be possible to wear a white cap when the headliner is black and vice-versa? Even with a 5 K screen it is impossible to see rear headroom when cap and headliner are the same color

Had a Pathfinder some 25 years ago and got rid of it after a couple of years due to all sorts of quality issues (oil leak, electronics etc). Never sniffed Nissan products again
Either luxury no longer means what it used to mean or standard brands have caught up and made up the difference. This doesn’t look that much posher than their Nissan or non luxury competition. Exterior design is Mercedes’ inspired. Thst grille and Lexus has got to go. I’ve heard racing game from 1995 with more convincing engine sounds.
I absolutely LOVE!!! this shape. CVT? Very sad. 55k Dollars?? and a CVT? Ouch!!! Thanks for letting us know what to buy, and what NOT to buy, Ryan lol PS: People, He did not say NOT say do/don't buy it, I am the one saying it.. Calm Down!!!
Why would you listen to someone else’s opinion about what not to buy. Experience the vehicle for yourself and draw your own conclusions. If you can’t afford it, just say you can’t afford it.
Sharp design! Hopefully newest Nissan interior design trends will be applied here soon which would be amazing. Nissan' AWD control is amazing. I own a Rogue Sport and it has done marvels for me.
Great compact luxury SUV from Infiniti but with the price of gas at 7 $7 compared to pre January 20, 2021 price was $2.79/gallon in Southern California I am looking into the Lexus NX plug in hybrid 450h. My daily drive Mon-Fri averaged out to 41 miles per day so I will never have to buy fossil fuel for weekdays, yet when going on road trips I have no range anxiety and a lot more freedom to enjoy my driving and sightseeing instead of looking at the boring tablet screen figuring out when and where to stop for charging. I prefer filling gas at traditional gasoline stations that offer minimarts, restrooms and attendants so buying an EV is not an option for me.
No rear view camera in the mirror that toyota rav 4 has stock ? Infiniti needs to get it together. Could go on for a while about what my rav4 prime has that this doesn't
Thinking back to your road trip in the Subaru Outback, I’d say you preferred the outback, even in terms of “luxury.” A $55k droning CVT with marginal luxury makes no sense at all.
@@rondail5675 let's be real, Infiniti is already a half dead brand, even their parent company Nissan is in a bit of a mess, so what to even expect from their not so luxurious luxury division.
Great video. Infiniti is a dead brand. FX suv coup was the last one they had the best CUV. RWD bias, 5-7 speed Real auto transmission. They could have improved but decided to stick CVT tranny. Really. Good luck infinity selling vehicles. Moreover, no lane centering. Really. Even civic has lane centering. 🤦🏽♂️
Don't expect a Mazda's transmission response from a Nissan product, lol. The Jatco CVTs are some of the worst in the industry. I'm loving Nissan/Infiniti/Mitsubishi's styling of late, but they really just need to ditch the CVTs, they have the 9 speed design from ZF, they just need to use it in more than the Frontier, and Pathfinder.
Watching this because I enjoy your reviews, no interest in another Nissan cvt. I'm a Nissan/Infiniti fanboy but this car is awful! Want lane centering and a shitty cvt? Buy a Rogue for $20k less.
Very competitive suv sedan or very compact crossover. The back design would be better, but I think that it is a practical and very competitive small car. Is Infiniti so is a lot of fun!
The thing i think is crazy is paddle shifters for a CVT. Why even bother. Jatco CVTs are pure junk. Perhaps Honda and Toyota make better ones BUT I would never consider a vehicle with a CVT...total deal breaker for me. About the back up camera...many criticize Toyota...well this Infinti takes the cake...that screen is garbage for maps . Nice looking vehicle but Lexus and Acura are much better IMO.
