@time machine didn't yu read news where a player died of holding breath while raiding and when opposite players dived on him he died instantly due to lack of oxygen
Whoever you touch is out. Be it one person or all 7. They have to stop you in a way that you can't go anywhere now, or your constant uttering of "Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi" is stopped which means you gave up. So yeah Rick was right you have to stop the forward motion of the raider to make him out. And your whole body can be out except for your one toe constantly being in and you srill won't be considered out.
I was a player of kabaddi in school.. I played it till regional level.. This game is so much fun.. U need to move really fast in this game.. U need strong muscles and good speed to be a kabaddi player...
Whatever Rick and korbin said about “PE” about free class, playing fun games, first hour sweating everything’s so relatable and true for us here too really reminded me of childhood
This game is thousands of years old. Recently, with the advent of Professional Kabaddi, a timer is used with a 30 second limit. Traditionally, still in use off of the professional courts, the timer is a single breath. The raider takes a deep breath and, as he crosses the line to raid, he begins to repeat the word "Kabaddi" continuously to prove he has not taken a second breath. He can continue the raid until he is trapped, or until he can no longer be heard to say "Kabaddi", before touching back across the line to his side.
In India we are excited to play PE we even have first period PE and we don't even have PE clothes for PE period we play with school uniform and then attend classes with the same uniform we Indians all love PE period more than anything else 😜🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
this game is all about scoring the points - when you for raid, you get 30 seconds to touch the other team members and need to be back in his area and you also need to speak kabaddi kabaddi continuously during this raid period, how many members you touch you get the points accordingly and all touched member would be out and same total number of players will be alive of your team.
Every raider has a 30 sec time limit. The raider needs to continuously chant the word "kabaddi" during the entire raid. The raider starts the chant and enters the opposite teams space. Now he/she has to either tag an opposite teams player and return to his side of court. If he/she is not able to tag someone they have to reach upto a certain line marked in opponents court and then can return safely back. So either you touch the safety line or tag a person and return back in 30 sec. If he/she does not do any one of these both then the raider is out. The opponents try to grab the raider and prevent him from returning to the his/her side of court. If the opponent touches the raider he is automatically considered tagged. So opponents have to be cautious while capturing the raider so that once the try to capture at no cost must raider return to his court or else all the people who have touched the raider are out. Also if during the raid if raider stops chanting the "kabaddi" word at any point he/she is considered out. The raids are alternatively done by each team. I hope this helps. :)
There are other international kabaddi teams.. India and Iran are the dominant teams.. Pakistan, Bangladesh, England,Srilanka,South Korea, are major participants.. Even United States participated in 2016 kabaddi world cup..
@@AK6655gddxg but that isn't a real "Kabaddi". If you can't hold your breath in Kabaddi then what's the meaning to play, breath is one big part of the game. But it's so sad they replaced it by timer
@@TheMartianMan I'd rather say that made kabbadi more interesting cause earlier players used to waste time by having 1 to 1:30 mins raid when time nears end and they were on a lead of mere 3-4 poins I remember watching games finished with results like 9-0 even just cause they wasted the time on raid. Yeah original is original no way that can be replaced but making the game more fun and competitive by bringing in do or die raids and all made the game better in my opinion
Everybody( defender) who has touched the opponent(raider) or the opponent has touched is OUT. The raided can attempt to reach the line as long he is not out of breath.
Witnessed my friends practicing Kabadi and Koko for University competitions with barefoot (I went to college in Rayalaseema region, hard ground with stones), soles of their feet torn up, still practicing day in and day out; when they are finally playing for the title , the arena is almost gladiator like, electrifying atmosphere....a memory that is etched forever.
A raid is when the person goes to attack the other team. You get 30 seconds to touch someone and cross the halfway line. There are 7 defenders at most at aside. the amount people touch a raider is at danger of being out (off-court) if the raiders get back to the halfway line. suppose a raider touches 3 people and get back not only do the defenders of the other team are out he gets to revive 3 of his own team members a bit different from dodgeball.
Earlier the raider had to say Kabaddi Kabaddi till his breath lasts, but in Pro Kabaddi they have a timer of 30 secs. And yes everyone who touches the raider is out of he gets across the line. Apart from India, Iran also plays Kabaddi.
There are 7 players in each team. The task for the raider is to try to touch as many folks as he can or cross the white line on the other teams half. Unless it's a do or die raid he can just cross the white line n be back. Ifhe touches one person then one point two then two points. N the other team tries to stop him from crossing the white line
we were restarted this game here and 4 guys got injured in just 1 week😂😂, 1 dude got his wrist dislocated, 1 dude dislocated his shoulder, and 1 dude just punches his own brother in his chest like a boom🔥😆. now we realized that we crossed the age to play this game without any harm.
Kabaddi is popular in North India, Pakistan and Iran. You guys should know more about this game. Kabaddi federation is promoting the game in Africa, South America as well.
Many people do not know what a raid and a raider is. The idea is the raider gets into the other side and tries to tag as much opponents as he can while holding his breath and chanting “kabaddi-kabaddi-kabaddi”. If the opponents catch him before touching the line, he’s out and if he touches the line before getting caught, not only is he safe but all the opponents he tagged or the ones who touched him in the process, get out. It’s adrenaline rush and we used to play Kabaddi all the time in school. The 80s and 90s kids will know.
I felt so so close to the school culture here when you said PE class. It's the same way in Indian schools too. PE class is what we look forward to in the school.🤗
it's about his breathing. The raider says kabaddi kabaddi, while he raids. longer he breathes and tries to come back to his past of the court, he survives.
Once you are pinned down, until your momentum is completely gone/finished, or when you stop chanting "kabaddi kabaddi" after pinned down till then you can struggle to reach the line.. but every region and tournament have their own rules to declare the raider out after he/she is pinned down.
For your question of how long does the raider have: - Till he is completely incapacitated by the defenders meaning he's unable to move even one bit OR - Till the referee call the play per his discretion OR - Till the time runs out Cheers :)
According to new rules it is 30 second raid. I remember playing it wherein, the raider had one lung full of breath. If the raider is caught and held till he runs out of that lung full of breath, he is out. The raider say kabadi repeatedly to show that he is not drawing in the second breath. If the raider is in defender area and runs out of breath, the raider is out. Basically it means you raid with one lung full of air.
the basic kabaddi game is that the raider has to keep saying `kabbadi kabbadi ` and the opposite teams has to make him stop in their zone once the raider entre . if the raider stops saying kabaddi he`s out, if he touches anyone and touches the line the one he touched is out

Raiders have 30 seconds on the clock where they have to keep repeating the word Kabaddi. The defenders on the other hand have to stop them from taking a bonus (a very technical move) by putting one leg across the bonus line (the one close to the end line towards the back), while trying to tackle the raider (not letting him cross the mid line). The raider has to make sure he touches one person atleast to score a point or score a bonus point. One can also do an empty raid for two successive raids, but the 3rd raid from a team has to score a point or the raider is considered out. That's all about the basics!
hello guys, there is a time limit definitely. The basic rule is that you have to utter the word "Kabaddi" in one breath as you go to the other side. This job is done by the DJ on the mike, which can be heard throughout the stadium. Once that single breath is over, the DJ counts down from 10 and the raider has to go back to his half before the zero count. Within this time, he can get caught by the opponents or he can score points by tagging opponents. As I said earlier, please see full match for get a better idea
Guys, Little B owns a Jaipur Kabbadi team named Pink Panthers, there is a docu series (Sons of the Soil) about it released last December on Amazon Prime. I haven't watched yet but it has good ratings.
Fun fact: We have PE too, it is called PT (physical training) in some places of India. We play different games like cricket, dodgeball, kabaddi, badminton, basketball and many other sports.
While all Karnataka audience enjoyed n appreciate you guys more for keeping Dr. Rajkumar in the background.. He was one of kind gem ever to be in Indian cinema industry.. More than your kabaddi reaction I enjoyed that.
The player has 30 seconds to raid, so he has to go to the opposite side and touch a player and have to return within that 30 seconds. Once the raider is get caught by the opponent team, he can make only 3 attempts to touch the line, provided he doesn't stop saying Kabaddi kabaddi.
Kabbadi is the official game of state Assam in India. I win 3 times best player award in my school. The rule is simple.you got 2 half of each 30 min.for each raid 30 sec you got and for every touch u got one point and eliminate that opposite player. If u eliminate all 7 members of opposite team you will get extra 5 points.which has greater points wins the game
The time duration is how long you can shout "kabaddi, kabaddi" which out taking a breath between it.and how many people you touch in one breath before you can touch the line are out and you get that many points.if you loose breath in opponents court you have to come back
Raid is active till the raider is in motion or till he stops chanting kabbaddi or till raid time runs out ( any one of above) - refree's whistle And who ever touched the raider is out if he crosses the line
There are many forms of it.. It's played a lot in Punjab.. The way it's played in Punjab is that.. The ground is oval.. Like the cricket field... And is a lot bigger than what u saw in this kabaddi.. Like it's bigger than 30 yard circle of cricket.. I can't say exact measurements.. In this only one defender can stop a raider.. If more than one defender touches the raider.. The defender is disqualified.. Actually it's actual play of power and speed.. One man for one.
1:24 - I also, don't know what you are talking about. I am that one friend in the group who drinks #Apply Fizz while friends are drinking beer and rum. 😅
Basic typical kabaddi rules are simple : 1) U go into enemy team territory while holding your breadth and have to come back before you run out of breadth. For that u continously utter kabbaddi 2) If you manage to come back, then all the players you touched get out.
A raid is of 30 seconds The raider has to say Kabaddi Kabaddi continuously during the raid And after the raider is caught if after a couple of seconds he can't reach the mid-line and if it seems impossible for him to reach after he gets caught, he is declared out
its 30 seconds in pro kabbadi but in traditional street kabaddi you have to chant "kabbadi kabbadi" constantly to show you have one breath to go inside enemy territory and come back...if you break your breath you get out...in Pro Kabbadi you have 30 seconds to go in and out of the enemy territory...also the number of people you touch from enemy side get out if you make it back to the divide line and resurrect that number of people feom your side....and when the enemy enters your territory the number of people he takes out result in thoe many people on his side being resurrected to come back to play....so in that way the game continues to go on till all the people on one side are out....its a really fun game....we used to love to play it when we were young but now everybody has phones and internet and PUBG
It's a time based raid of 30 sec. The group has just to hold the raider from touching the centre line, they don't need to drag them behind any other line. It's just to stop the raider from touching centre line. Also, as many person the raider touches that many point he gets if he successfully touches the centre line after that. Also those players need to sit outside from court. Also u must watch best defending in kabaddi to understand it better.

Iran, Oman plays kabbadi. And they have a good team. International kabbadi tournaments are also held.
The player has 30 seconds to raid, so he has to go to the opposite side and touch a player and have to return within that 30 seconds. Once the raider is get caught by the opponent team, he can make only 3 attempts to touch the line, provided he doesn't stop saying Kabaddi kabaddi.
1m soon bro congratas
Kabbadi is the official game of state Assam in India. I win 3 times best player award in my school. The rule is simple.you got 2 half of each 30 min.for each raid 30 sec you got and for every touch u got one point and eliminate that opposite player. If u eliminate all 7 members of opposite team you will get extra 5 points.which has greater points wins the game
It is a muscle building Game 💪
The time duration is how long you can shout "kabaddi, kabaddi" which out taking a breath between it.and how many people you touch in one breath before you can touch the line are out and you get that many points.if you loose breath in opponents court you have to come back
Raid is active till the raider is in motion or till he stops chanting kabbaddi or till raid time runs out ( any one of above) - refree's whistle
And who ever touched the raider is out if he crosses the line
Love your reactions ❤
Kabaddi is like civilized/smarter/shorter version of wrestling
We also have P.E here in India
There are many forms of it.. It's played a lot in Punjab..
The way it's played in Punjab is that.. The ground is oval.. Like the cricket field... And is a lot bigger than what u saw in this kabaddi.. Like it's bigger than 30 yard circle of cricket.. I can't say exact measurements..
In this only one defender can stop a raider.. If more than one defender touches the raider.. The defender is disqualified..
Actually it's actual play of power and speed.. One man for one.
I used to play so much kabaddi with my friends when I was small... It's so much fun
1:24 - I also, don't know what you are talking about. I am that one friend in the group who drinks #Apply Fizz while friends are drinking beer and rum. 😅
JAI HIND JAI BHARAT JAI BHAWANI JAI SHIVAJI JAI JAWAN JAI KISAN JAI maharashtra..JAI KABADDI...
It was really difficult to sit back and see you guys react being clueless about the game...
I got anxious n wanted to explain all the doubts u had
Basic typical kabaddi rules are simple :
1) U go into enemy team territory while holding your breadth and have to come back before you run out of breadth. For that u continously utter kabbaddi
2) If you manage to come back, then all the players you touched get out.
A raid is of 30 seconds
The raider has to say Kabaddi Kabaddi continuously during the raid
And after the raider is caught if after a couple of seconds he can't reach the mid-line and if it seems impossible for him to reach after he gets caught, he is declared out
Really this game is blood of every Indian guy
I played kabaddi and kho kho in my school days... Best time of my school life..
We played daily in the morning before school assembly , and got scolded by our teacher for getting sweaty before the school starts.
You need to check defense moments as wel
Korbin thinks we don't know how to drink corona lmao
Kabaadi kabaadi was my anthem in school while playing kabaddi
its 30 seconds in pro kabbadi but in traditional street kabaddi you have to chant "kabbadi kabbadi" constantly to show you have one breath to go inside enemy territory and come back...if you break your breath you get out...in Pro Kabbadi you have 30 seconds to go in and out of the enemy territory...also the number of people you touch from enemy side get out if you make it back to the divide line and resurrect that number of people feom your side....and when the enemy enters your territory the number of people he takes out result in thoe many people on his side being resurrected to come back to play....so in that way the game continues to go on till all the people on one side are out....its a really fun game....we used to love to play it when we were young but now everybody has phones and internet and PUBG
