Thank you 😊 I know thrifting is getting more pricey, but it's entertaining just watching people look what's out there -- even if you don't buy anything. In the US places like Goodwill and Savers are getting more expensive. Items that should be $2 have gone up to $6 for no reason, takes a lot of the fun out of it. I haven't seen anyone use the fitting rooms either.
Aw, thanks for saying that. You reminded me that I can still film content even if I don't purchase something. It's easy to feel like my footage is a bust if I don't have anything to haul. But you are right, I can do the thrifting without the hauls. Needed to hear that so, thank you!
@@TashaLeelynyou’re so right about SHEIN taking over the thrift store, I think people realizing the quality is so poor they donated the.
Shein is out of control!! I feel like 50% of the dresses at my Goodwill are Shein 🤨 cute styles, hideous quality 😒
I always love your thrifting excursions. Please keep them coming! Love your little lace undershirt, looks so cute with the dresses.
I haaaate the no fitting rooms 😢
I started bringing a measuring tape with me when I’m thrifting. I measured a few items I already have that I like the fit of and then measure items at the thrift store. It’s not 100% every time but it seems to be more accurate for me than trying to hold items up (because body dysmorphia is strong lol)
"there's so much shein" says just so much how bad the quality is and honestly it's same here UK just more shein in charity shops (the equivalent to thrift stores here)
I miss thrift me videos so much I'm glad you're doing them more again 💚
No fitting rooms at goodwill or value village in Washington State
Our fitting rooms at Savers are gone in Ct. they were just shut during Covid, but now are taken out. when I asked why,was told people made huge messes and stole..
You hit up my 2 favourite value villages! and them not having fitting rooms is so annoying. I've started to measure the clothes i like and then bring a tape measure with me to thrift stores lol
The no fitting rooms policy is ridiculous! Next time wear bike shorts and a sports bra under your dress and you’re good to go. The shell plate was lovely. Btw that coral color looks stunning on you.
I miss the dressing rooms so much! I now wear tight clothes to try on overtop and post up in front of a mirror bc clothes’ fits r so wild and women sizes mean so little. So happy to join you on your adventure!
No fitting rooms at any of my thrifts in Southern California. I just wear dresses so I can try bottoms on easily in the store.
Oh interesting that you are experiencing the same thing! Next time I’m gonna wear a tank and a skirt I think! I was really bummed I wasn’t able to try on that shirt that didn’t fit :(
Try wearing a tank and bike shorts/tee and leggings. They work pretty good to try stuff on.
Have missed your thrift videos. So sad that Value Village went with self check out. Job losses everywhere. Price's are getting crazy at both Goodwill and Value Village here in Canada.
The self-checkout is wild, at most VV stores not a single person register even exists, or if there is one, it's closed. That along with the no fitting rooms, just seems like they're putting more $ in their pockets. I'm gonna do another TWM, and checkout some goodwill stores and see if I have a better experience.
The pink lampshade is Ikea. I have one and it's really nice. You would like it, makes a warm comforting glow
Youonot alone, here in the us(in Fl) they actually took away fitting rooms permanently in several goodwills, and no returns. It’s INSANE, and so so frustrating as someone who 90% of their closest is thrifted 😫.
So many lovely options over there💖
Yes! Savers in Boston, Ma. Still have the dressing rooms closed! It’s so annoying! I have stopped going for clothes. Only home decor. Not a good move on their part!
None of my Savers have fitting rooms now, it’s quite the bummer.
That romper on you! ❤
Love that I caught this 1 min after posting lol! Thrifting and watching people thrift is so relaxing for me 🥰
Edit: okay that pink dress is so good tho 😍
Omg I love you 😂
I live in the UK and we have charity shops which are much much smaller than the Goodwill stores, it would be a dream of mine to spend hours having a good rummage around one of those! I really enjoy thrift with me vlogs, that dress and the romper looked lovely on you.
Lol that lamp/lamp shade is currently up in my living room and it’s definitely from IKEA
Our Savers in Ohio ripped out the fitting rooms during covid and now it’s were they store more shopping carts 😭😭😭
I find the VV Boutique to be too expensive lately - I go to Mission Thrift or small church thrifts now....that last pink prairie dress was adorable!
Love your videos! I would say half the thrift shops have fitting rooms in the US where I live. I now wear tight tank top and leggings and just try them on in the mirrors in front of everyone 😂
Thanks for another great video Tasha! I feel your pain re: no fitting rooms. I actually looked at that Zara black dress too and had it in my cart for a couple laps around the store 😂 but it was priced close to $20 and didn't make the cut. I do appreciate the two week exchange they offer but would rather just purchase with confidence. Maybe you could try Talize next time as they have generous, well-lit fitting rooms.
If you do a home decor!! What kind of items are on your wishlist? It will be a fun thrift with me! ❤
Fitting rooms are open in Savers, Goodwill, and local thrift stores in my state. They were closed, but seriously, they need to open them in Canada. It's ridiculous. If they can let people cross the border unvaccinated, they can open up fitting rooms for heaven's sake.
In the Value Villages close to me (in Canada) they cannot open them up because they took them out! To make room for more stuff to sell I guess.
@@vickilynn602 Well, it seems someone in management didn't think that through.🙄
They didn’t think through the outrageous price increases either 🙄
👏🏻 BEEN 👏🏻 WAITING 👏🏻 FOR 👏🏻 THIS 👏🏻❤😊
LOVE YOU!!!
Omg where is the amazing puff sleeve dress you're wearing over the lace top from?? ❤
The Savers in the US completely got rid of their fitting rooms but extended their return policy. But honestly it's just not worth my time to go back and forth. Their prices are ridiculous and they aren't paying for my gas to have to return items that don't fit. If I am going I wear leggings and a tank and try stuff on over it. I don't care. 🤣
All of this!!! 👏 ugh so frustrating for those of us who love to thrift 😢
No fitting rooms in the US either, but they do let you exchange within a week of purchase. So usually I’ll go back and trade it for something! Still pretty annoying but it makes me feel a bit better I didn’t just waste the money
Here in Connecticut the dressing rooms at Goodwill are open. I’ve gone to a few smaller thrift stores and theirs are open also. TFS😊😊
The romper is beautiful on you. So fun and girl, too sweet for mowing the lawn.
Heyyyyyyyyyy nice to see you!
Nice to see you too!!!
Savers took out all of the fitting rooms, now they do returns.
My goodwill is so expensive I might as well just go to Ross or Walmart lol
Loved this! Half the time when I thrift I come out with nothing, but I still go just to see cause you never know. Sometimes it’s a couple of things for me and sometimes it’s a bunch. What you got was great and your style so you were lucky. You can take that floral top back for exchange, VV will take it, don’t take tags off however. Hope you do more thrifting even though it’s gotten so expensive! ❤
Yay a throwback. I love ur thrifting videos
Girrrrrl!!! Not sure how far you are from Hamilton but Talize on Upper James has fitting rooms open!! Also, rock a tank and bike shorts next time, game changer, I just saddle up to a mirror hahah
For the top that doesn't fit, you can get store credit at VV!
No fitting rooms in Savers either. It's terrible! I hardly shop there for that reason. I can't buy clothes without trying them on.
I've missed your thrift videos so much!!
More to come, I promise!!
The pink fabric pendant light is from ikea!
Right there with you on the fitting room situation. I pretty much only buy dresses and tshirts at this point
I'm in Georgia (US) and all the thrift stores I go to the dressing rooms are open.
Some thrift stores here do have open dressing rooms. I will not buy any clothes unless I can try them on so I always thrift in clothes that I can try things on over. I see lots of people here find a mirror in the thrift store and put stuff on over what they have on. Even if you know it will fit maybe the style might not work. Sorry about the top
OMG thifting in the US is the same right now like the overpricing is redic because the thift stores dont even pay for their merchandise its kinda disgusting knowing that the ceo is making like millions
Just went to savers today, and still no fitting rooms. They've fully removed the fitting room structures so I don't see them coming back anytime soon 😢
Goodwill fitting rooms open where I am in U.S. Prices much cheaper here. All skirts 3.99. Dresses 7.99. Love your choices and what you are wearing.
If I really love something and I see old tags that were cheaper I always take it to checkout and they'll usually accept the lower price!
My savers in arizona turned the changing rooms into a break room for their employees 🥲
I’m in the US and here we are allowed to, but I’m in MI & I think it varies where you’re located
Everything looks awesome on you , but I really love ❤️ the romper on you! Great finds
I've missed your thrifting content! But yeah ever since they got rid of the fitting rooms I feel like I also go thrifting way less often, it's just more tedious now... I wear leggings/bike shorts and a fitted tee so i can try things on in front of the mirrors, but I never get the fit right trying things on over other clothes... I've ended up buying a few pieces that just fit so weird despite it looking ok over my leggings/top at the store. Also the amount of Shein in VV lately is such a bummer. I usually avoid picking those up but that dress you got was super cute! Now I wanna go thrifting 😅
Hey tash, usually you can bring things up to checkout and have them reprice upfront. At least at my local vv they do that!
Good to know! Seems crazy that they don't catch it themselves!
@@TashaLeelyn Yeaa the workers at checkout definitely wont know unless you bring it up to them! Now, i cant guarantee theyll always reprice it for you or make something cheaper. It could depend on how many times you shop there etc hah but yea just a lil tip :)
I'm in Tucson and my Savers also took their fitting rooms out :(
Oh my there's a lot of cute tops
Stinking Love 😍the red romper ❤
We have 2 Goodwill's, and both have the dressing rooms closed, I just gave up and quit going
Wow those prices were out of control. Also, it is really sad to see so much fast fashion at thrift stores, but it does make sense. Those pieces are made to be replaced fast
Girl you can exchange!! Try the good will behind the welland hospital if you like vintage! Only thing I miss about the Niagara region are the thrift stores!
Right now value Village within the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. The fitting rooms are open but honestly, I rather just wear biker shorts and a T-shirt and try things on in front of mirrors that way. Sometimes the fitting rooms are gross and I rather not go inside. So I dress for trying things on :)
No fitting room at Savers and it's a permanent policy. Ugh. When I go thrifting now, I always wear black tank + bike shorts so I can try on in front of a mirror. If Savers / VV isn't going to provide a designated space to try on clothes, I'm just going to designate my own space in the middle of the store and I don't really care.
All I want is that blue striped dress!
I love your thrift haul videos! Are you selling any of the clothes that dont fit you or that you don't want? thanks!
not them putting a shein ad on your video 😭 love the lace outfit though 🥹
All our fitting rooms are shut down😢 Shein is everywhere 😮
I hear you on the no fitting rooms/out of control prices at VV & Savers/ shien and fashion nova items??!! what the heck!!!??
Could you add a corset back to the white shirt that didn't fit? It would fit the vibe!
I hate trying things on so the no dressing room thing doesn't bother me too much. But if they're not gonna give me the option to try on I think they should have a better return policy. My value village in WA is exchange only and it has to be exchanged same day. Like at least Goodwill will give me a gift card if I can't find anything.
The Goodwill's in Texas have lost their minds. The clothes are expensive and now they have a boutique section where clothes cost even more. I've seen dresses for 40.00 jackets from Target for 29.00. They get their clothes for FREE and turn around and sell them at retail value. Don't get me started with the resellers.
No fitting rooms at my Savers. I no longer go there
I find it so odd when charity shops in the UK have shein or primark items priced higher than they would be new
THANKS WOMEN!!! 💃💃💃
I missed thrift with me videos!!!!
Cute finds
I just find value village and other stores are getting pricey :(
I think because thrifting has become more trendy the prices have gone up and the good stuff goes fast.
Value village is actually out of control with their prices now. I feel like shopping at winners/ marshalls is better it’s new yes but the prices are better than thrift items at vv
Totally agree… I’m gonna try thrifting at some other places. It’s wild.
I think they take returns, no? Kinda gross if they’re unwashed, but same as trying them on at the store, I guess. Maybe have a more clinical try on area at home, e.g. in a mud room, rather than your bedroom, for instance.
I love your thrift videos, even if you don't purchase anything! But VV's procedure for upping prices without removing the tag is wild. A lot of people go thrifting because they want a deal and knowing the deal isn't as good as before would dissuade me from buying anything.
❤❤❤❤
Charity shops in the UK are losing their minds with prices also
Noooooo. I’m sad it’s happening everywhere.
Is Tash entering a purple era??
I am accepting of a lilac era lol.
Prices are higher, quality is worse, no fitting rooms, AND I have to check myself out?
Fitting rooms are open in the US.
Not everywhere, unfortunately. 😢 Savers in my state eliminated all of their fitting rooms. Goodwills have fitting rooms opened again. But prices are so high there now too!
Wear workout clothes that fit then try one clothes
Why do yall act like that? "Oh no, this is shein/ hobby lobby/ chick fil A" or whatever else.... like my goodness, but the items or don't.
You can watch a someone else’s video ma’am, no one is forcing you to be here
That’s why I don’t like shopping online 🥲🥲 I get my feelings hurt🥲🥲
😆
