@@art.howard explain how Glenn Hughes cut Black Country Communion in his late 50s...lol I think it has a lot to do with technique these guys who power belt raspy mix voice are in the Danger Zone. Glenn Hughes with Black Sabbath Heart Like a Wheel is probably my favorite vocal, not to mention Lord Iommi playing blues that could easily rival Page
Yeah they could, no singer these days even comes close to the sound the vocalists had during the 80's. Miles Kennedy of Alter Bridge might come the closest out of any new rock bands. Amazing singers of the 80's and early 90's- Sebastian Bach, Jani Lane, Mark Slaughter, Jeff Keith, Rob Halford, Geoff Tate, Don Dokken, Steve Perry, Axl Rose, Brian Johnson, Steven Tyler, Ozzy, Joe Elliot, Tom Keiffer, and C.J. Snare just to name some. All Amazing fucking vocalists
I remember when singers didn't need auto tune. And the band played their own instruments. An the bands had their own sound. I feel blessed to have lived through the 3 decades of GREAT ROCCKKK - ROOOLLLL!!!
Gabriel F Damn Straight ❣ My first rock concert was Slaughter. I was in the fan club and had the honor of meeting Tim, Dana, and Blas. They were such sweet hearts. I gave Tim a little wooden cross pendant that I had brought for him and gave Blas a ring that I had made that said Kim loves Blas😳. They all signed my meet and greet pass. One of the greatest experiences of my life. I was devastated when Tim passed away. I miss him. He was a wonderful person and guitarist.
I'm having to admit never knew Mark's incredible voice back during 90s! Like the music he did but was unaware of his vocal range! Actually came late to many artists with great voices, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson, Stevie Nicks and some others I can't think of but You Tube brought them back for me to really appreciate!
In 1990, I got "Stick It Live" on cassette at streetside records. Man,good band. Unfortunately it was the last gasp of eighties metal/hard rock. I wish it would make a resurgence.
I literally screamed in my car listening to this on my way to work. Good God that man made every hair on arms and neck stand up. ABC you used to be be so cool for playing stuff like this. I still love my music loud and am happy to be an adult who can buy all the concert tickets I want.
My claim to fame, I played with Tim a few times at my cousins house, before he was famous! Hey, that could have been me drumming, except I'm not quite that good, and I only use one base drum.
I saw these guys right around the time of this video. In Bismarck North Dakota. With kiss and winger. ThenI saw them the other day on a new video and they don't sound anything like this anymore! I think the best thing would be to cash it in while they're still remembered in a good way! LOL
Timmy Bridges definitely disagree! I just saw them Saturday. Nicest guys ever. they let me and my Husband sit back stage and watch them. He hit All those notes and more. Amazing.
+Ed Junior inevitable effects of age,alcohol... but most of all the vocals themselves... all vocalists as awesome as Mark with the high growling vocals like this know that the day will come when the fame the vocals gave em will come back to claim their voice... just look at Axl, Tom Keifer, and the list goes on
+Ed Junior Don never really sang like this. He wasn't a great vocalist. Mark is still a great vocalist. Ozzy is still a great vocalist. Geddy Lee is still a great vocalist. John Tardy is better today than he was in 1990.
Uziel, Mark had issues with his right vocal chords. In 92 he had nodule surgery then a few years later began the trail of multiple unsuccessful surgeries and now his voice is completely gone.
total surprised the energy levels that intense for Slaughter concert; 400%....1000% American rock-n-roll to another level....Was that Mark yelling or singing? Either way it was a good show. He was pumped up whole time. 14:40 he jumped off speaker.
That's the same stage they used when they opened for Ozzie's No More Tears Tour. I wonder if that was the same tour? I swearthat tour was in 1992 though here in San Diego. But, I could be mistaken. Anyway, great show. Yep, just went to the Wiki page. The show I went to was in June 1992. Met Slaughter, the whole band, at a Go Cart track in San Diego many hours before the show. It was advertised on the radio that they would be there to meet their fans.
Only 87 box sets left of Slaughter - Fear No Evil The Definitive Edition! Head to www.kissmywaxrecords.com to pre-order today (expected to ship Sept/Oct 21)
Getting older has a cruel effect on those kind of voices. But in his prime wow what a voice
Your voice gets lower and gravellier as you get older. It's not a bad thing, it just is.
His new solo album is great...
He has a lower voice now, but still awesome with his new stuff
Mark didn't lose his voice like Vince Neil and Axel Rose

@@centralia83 I would have add Mr. Bruce Dickinson to that list of ultimate 80's-90's vocalists.
When time machines are real, I'm going to 1990-91. Even pop music was still good then, but raw heavy rock n roll was it for me.
boy could this guy hit a high note back in the day!!! Mark is great.
Man, I'm getting my old tape cassette out again. Cranking this on my Sony Walkman on a greyhound to New Westminster. God I loved this tape.
WOW!! Amazing voice!!!! Better than I remember.

Wow, those were the days!!!
Tim Kelly was a great guitarrist, people seem to forget him... RIP Tim!

Teens and young adults don't know what a real band is any more. 😔 Sad.
I'm a young adult and Slaughter is my favorite band! The majority of music that I listen to is 80s metal/rock, I would prefer nothing else!
That voice is truly insane...those was the day where rock rules.
Whoa, chick’s are literally eating all of this up, didn’t think he could sing like this live, blew me away !
still listening and rocking out May,2017!! I can't wait to see them at Rocklahoma in two weeks!!!

Thanks for sharing this. I saw them live December 1990 in Phoenix: My first ever concert! Simply AMAZING
My wife's first concert Cinderella slaughter Winnipeg Canada. They brought it. Not like today. There are bands still doing it. But not many.
Why can't this shit still be popular
It had it's run, I mean, why isn't big band still popular?
5:45 gives me the chills
My claim to fame, I played with Tim a few times at my cousins house, before he was famous! Hey, that could have been me drumming, except I'm not quite that good, and I only use one base drum.
Dam much respect... Awesome Gibson Hollowbody hes playing.
It seems it's a Robin Savoy. Tim Kelley played Robin Guitars too.
Damn son! That was F'in badass! To bad I was to young to be there.
one of the greatest bands of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the truly great songs of our time irrespective of genre.
Insane range!!!

Yeah, that's effortless and awesome right there!
Great voice
What a fantastic voice.
What the hell! This is good stuff. I had forgot about them
One of the high pitch vox in hair metal in 80s. Since his days of VVI🤘🔥🔥🤘
5:24 One hell of a voice!
Yeah.....can't think of too many rock singers that could nail it that high for that long. MAYBE David Coverdale in his prime. That's about it.
Nashville still loves ya'll Mark... Keep rockin' it!
Grunge killed the rock and roll star, I know,....I lived through it all!
I love these guys!💗
Still rockin well into 2016
His voice like Yamaha RX-King. Calm when stationary but blaring melodious when the throttle was open.
this is the band in their prime the 2014 was off but you know time can be thee cruel master
What a voice. Shame it's all gone now
I'm watching this 1/2017

Mark Slaughter Gorgeous!!!

Wow! Just wow!
He definitely made a deal with the devil. Noone can sing like that, and unfortunately he cannot anymore. :(
Timmy Bridges definitely disagree! I just saw them Saturday. Nicest guys ever. they let me and my Husband sit back stage and watch them. He hit All those notes and more. Amazing.
I agree that Mark is a nice guy, and he is still entertaining; but the vocals he had when he was young are not possible for him to hit now.
Timmy Bridges Milli and Kiefer must have gotten a better deal, they still sound like they did back in the day
That's just real talent dude....
False. Miljenko Matijevic could get it done.
Love it ❤
WHEN '80s HAIR METAL WERE GODS. \m/

A beautiful song.Mark Slaughter has an awesome voice.
+gtrfrkkkkk HAD. Yes. Now he sounds like a cat fight :(

Don Dokken too - booze and cigs isn't good for the vocals

All the starts in the night shine your name 😁
What?
I thought Mark Slaughter was a studio joker. I thought wrong.

It could still be the same stage. Maybe it's a lease/Rent type deal.
Watching this April 16 2018.....9:35 pm

🤘🏼❤
Fucking range from hell.!!!
Much better audio and video
cool video
Fuckin rockin and excellent
You can tell when a singer has a voice when the chords in his neck do not stick out. It should be easy to hit notes.
Какой же Марк тут молодой.. красавчик..
His voice suits this song and up all night, sleep all day, the rest all sound like a wailing kitten in heat... ;[]
How about "Spend My Life"?
Looks good and sounds good. Cute.
Great hair

So lost :(
