    As soon as I finished the video, i HAD to post up this comment to let you know how much I appreciate the content and you!:) It's insane how we never learned this in high school and college. I'm 25 and even though it's still early for me, it's a shocker. And the fact that you're giving this all for free is so caring. We really do have alot more access then the Kings and Queens of the past! You're doing the world a huge favor! I wish you the best and much happiness to your business and your life! Much love 🙏

    I really appreciated this video a lot because upon turning 18 I ruined my credit so I’ve been trying to get it back on track and I really do wish they taught us these tips in school because it would’ve saved me a lot of money and time!!! Also Thank you Rose for not only giving tips but explaining them and correlating them to your personal life so we can relate as well!

At least for me, the delivery, voice, cadence, educational references & data from personal experiences you do extremely well and that’s why you’re one of my favorite UA-camrs in general & especially for money & financial content. Just AMAZING. Keep teaching; I’ll be listening, changing my mindset & taking action.

    Rose, of all the gazillion "essential money lesson" videos out there, this is by far the best! I say that as a middle-aged American that grew up financially illiterate, and have been slowly awakening for decades. I appreciate how you emphasized that it is up to ourselves to take care of our own financial health, and everyone else (except for fiduciary) is after our money. I also appreciate how you advocate to speak openly with family and friends about money. Why is it so taboo to talk money? Maybe that's also part of the conspiracy. LOL! Thanks again, Rose. I have an acquaintance with a masters in finance and is aVP at a bank and has never balanced her own checkbook. She’s in debt to a degree that blows my mind. In her mind she believes she is living the American dream because in her mind you SHOULD replace your car every two years and if you can afford to pay your credit card minimums and your credit is good enough to keep opening more lines of credit then she’s not really in debt. She IS A BANK VP WITH A MASTERS IN FINANCE!!! We’re preached at that capitalism is bad but really it’s consumerism (but no one throws shade at spending beyond your means). And consumerism is on you the consumer. You have the power to take control of your own money and it’s shocking how many people don’t know that. Thanks so much for videos like these that empower others to take control of their finances.

      Completely agree. It really doesn't matter what you make, it's how you spend it. I have a co-worker myself who makes pretty great money (6 figures) but is always damn stressed because her bills are sky high: 4k mortgage a month, $900 car note, $5k monthly shopping habits, eats out 3x a day everyday (she doesn't want to cook), etc. It's insane!

      Totally agree. There needs to be more transparency and open discussion about finances. Without that, people will continue to be confused and lost about their finances and consumer debt will grow. We discussed credit card debt in our most recent video, and openly talked about how we paid off $22K in credit card debt. It's difficult to be open about our faults, but hopefully this information will help others learn from our mistakes. ua-cam.com/video/CnEqqM1sklU/v-deo.html

    Thank you for your information Rose, always appreciated. I agree that financial literacy should be taught in High School. My parents were terrible at personal finance, so I took an Accounting elective in High School and learned a lot. My Senior year US Government teacher bent the rules a bit and had us read the fine print of credit cards and create 5 year plans. I continued my Financial education through college and have always been conservatives with my money. If it wasn't for these experiences, I can see how so many people go into debt or have financial issues. Even as a CPA with more wealth (possible only with my wife's income, because CPAs don't make that much lol) than the rest of my friends and family, most of them still follow their own priorities, even if our advice says otherwise.

    I appreciate the amount of work and research you put into your presentations. Sometimes I feel like I recognize some of the books you read based on your material. And there are plenty of times you introduce new information. I didn’t know about the APR. And I agree with your conspiracy theory. I heard a voter suppression why not financial suppression. That would make it easier to put our money into other peoples pockets.

    You have reinforced my thoughts on managing money. Keep up your good work! How do you get paid for your thoughts on money management? With my positive net worth I get by on my pension, and social security alone. I just let my retirement investments (IRA,& ANNUITY) compound for a rainy day. I owe my blessings to GOD alone. Thank you for your useful information. J.C. Sauer

    credit card tip: only buy something if you have the money to pay it the same day. I usually pay my credit card before I even spend money. For example, paying $200 on the credit card right away before using it to buy something. I have a great credit score

    • @AD-hj6qf
      @AD-hj6qf 3 роки тому +2

      @@Albimar17 It is not impossible. if you do not have the money to buy something with your debit, then you dont have the money to buy it (this is my point of view, was raised like this).
      To answer your question why not use a debit card while i'm at it, is because of the benefits. I have a great-excellent credit score becuz of this :) To me it's not a hassel becuz I do online banking.
      take care

    • @AD-hj6qf

      @@Albimar17 yes i do that. I pay it before using it to buy stuff. Maybe it doesn't work like that where you're from? but I'm in Canada, and it does work. Do you use online banking? I don't think this method works if you pay your credit card in person for example.
      and no my $200 example is not the minimum payment of the previous period
      basically, instead of waiting a few days for a payment to go through, the payment is already done (before you even make a purchase!)
      I don't know if this example will confuse you, but let's say you make a purchase and buy a t-shirt of $10 with your credit card. The next day you return it and get it refund back on your credit card. That $10 will be like my $200 example.
      I hope I'm not confusing you

      @AD-hj6qf 3 роки тому +1

      @@Albimar17 Also yes you are right. Essentially credit cards are used for that. Paying something off later. But i'm using it to build good credit - not just to buy stuff and pay them later

    • @AD-hj6qf
      @AD-hj6qf 3 роки тому

      @@Albimar17 if you return something, the money will go back on your cc. You’re balance would be +10 (not -10 because you owe that amount and not 0 because the money is put back in the cc after a refund)
      Do what work for you 😊 I don’t want to confuse you

    Rose, you are just awesome. Like you, I grew up in a house where money was never mentioned. But money is an important factor in our lives, so everyone should be money-literate. Time to start a new family tradition: TALK about it all the time!!! LEARN about it all the time!!! SHARE your knowledge with your family and friends!!!

    YES! It's crazy to me how you can take a finance course in college but still not learn about personal finance. I made a video about what I wish I'd learned in college and I'm still in shock that these things aren't being talked about. You bring up a really good point about opening up the discussion of student loan debt. It's so important to be able to have these discussions with those around us, because similar to what you said, you feel like you're alone until you have these conversations and realize that so many people are going through the same thing you're going through.
