Thank you a million times for making a TRUE junk journal!! I’m new to JJ and all the videos i have seen require hole punchers and craft paper, cutting boards, envelop cutters and fancy stamps. I am not willing to spend money on craft supplies, thus why I am drawn to Junk Journaling. You are a true junk journal rockstar!!!
I’ve seen very few true “junk” journals and this one is wonderful in its Junkiness. I wish I was crafting today but laundry won the arm wrestling event 😩😝💪. Have a great weekend Pam! ❤️
A good friend came over last week, opened my kitchen pantry to put a soda can into my recycle bag, and my stack of ‘for later’ tissue boxes, various foods boxes, junk mailers, and used shipping envelopes tumbled out at her feet. “Deb…?” She asks, while mentally questioning my sanity. “Saving it for junk journals my dear. What do you think the cover , cards, and some the papers in yours was made from?”, I reply as I handed her a cold Mountain Dew from the fridge. “Garbage?” “Basically”, I replied while picking out a couple of nice popcorn boxes for current H’ween jj’s . 😂 Little do they know…. Enjoyed it Pam! You’re always fun. 💕
I love this so much. Im a nurse. I give covid vaccines at a large vaccine center and I save all the bandaid boxes and make small journals out of them! So much fun and so satisfying. Making something so wonderful out something so horrible! You are a wonderful inspiration to so many people. ❤ Keep playing with reckless abandon!
I am SO happy that you made this video Pam! The more videos I watch of people making "junk journals", the more I come to realize that they aren't TRUE "JJ's". I love the decorative papers/kits that can be bought, but a REAL JJ for me, is made from trash and junk that has no use any more. I don't want too upset or offend anyone, but this? Pam, thank you for showing how much fun we can have "junk" journaling. Far too often, I'm lured into spending money on paper supplies, when my mail contains tons of journal making fodder. We can choose to use our imaginations to create: fright-filled Halloween books, full-filled kids books, or even beautiful journals for ourselves or for gifts - all the while turning trash to treasures. Be well and safe. Hugs from SC USA. ps: (this is my edit) Forgot to mention that I'm looking forward to seeing your decorating this "junk" journal. I think I know how it must feel to you to number your videos. I was married and divorced twice; and every time I speak about my first or second husband, I always add "I only had two."; because it sounds to me that I could have had dozens of marriages. For me, two was enough. At 77, I've long since learned to enjoy my own company - which I share with dog, Harper Lee, and cat, Squeaky Doodle (who say Hi to Sunny/Sonny).

I was really wondering what you were going to do with that apple core. 😂😂 but this was a great tutorial on using up trash for sure! We can literally make journals out of anything! Thanks for sharing.
Love this I use junk mail a lot because I don’t have a printer thanks for being so creative and fun and reminding us that paper is fun regardless of we’re it comes from😆😆😆
Ok Pam, I've got one of those cardboard tissue boxes in my bag of saved junk for journal making right now, so I'm going to take up your challenge and try to create one of these beautiful trash-mash-up journals. You can see me smiling from Tasmania!! Finally! A junk book/ journal. The junk journal trend is wonderful and I validate everyone and every vid. Yet it is not what I do. This is what i do, examining every piece of card or paper based product that comes in and out of my house. Using makeup, coffee, tea, nuts, seeds, my spice cabinet, pressed flowers, buttons, stickers. An art teacher in grade 8 1983 taught me this and I had the most amazing time. I still see paper and trash through those eyes. Now i will sit back and watch your tutorial. With much love Tassie Joy
Love this idea!…. I have 2 small gift journals to make. AND a….. Recycle bin full of paper and card board treasures!… I already save the larger rectangle shaped cereal boxes, envelopes etc… but just usually toss the Kleenex cube type Box’s and the smaller or odd sized Sized packages and envelopes. …Now, this feels like a fun puzzle type challenge. …And it will save my bigger bits of cardboard for my bigger projects! P.S. congrats on your big new number of viewers!..😁
It just goes to show we can reuse things in recycling bin Pam has shown let our imagination run wilder than before but keep in good taste. Really some little ones would possibly love these zany little journals kind of like a "scrap" book ! No play on word intended. Years ago I had made a scrap book on the Beatles. Lots of fun .

For some reason I want to call this a Frankenstein journal. The name seems to fit. I've got a clean garbage basket. And empty cereal boxes hidden on top of fridge. 🤣 Honestly I eat totally different cereal than husband and daughter. After an empty box I had saved and was on counter was thrown away I decided to hide them in plain sight. They'll never pick them up and discover my secret empty boxes. May need to take one down and dig in my basket and see what happens. PS... I have a pup that helps me journal. He especially like avacado dyed paper.
Ok, I'm not ready yet, still collecting junk. My boyfriend looked at me like I have truly lost my mind 🙃 🤪 love the creativity and transforming junk into treasure 😍

I have giggled and laughed my way through this video. THANK YOU for sharing all this craftyness with us and for the pure enjoyment of watching you. You are a tonic for the soul and have made such a difference to soooo many of us. I simply love your channel and am so pleased that I "discovered" you. Thank you for letting us "visit" with you. Now I am going to go and craft with GAY ABANDON. Blessings and hugs Diana P.S. LOVE AND HUGS to Sunshine too.
Had a weekend-shift, so it's taken me forevah! to get around to seeing this video! Junk journal junkiness for junk journal junkies!! Amazing! 👏 'but my pumpkins are upside down!' : made me chuckle 😃 Hi Sunny, you paper-eating pooch! Loved this, Pam - looking forward to #2 hello from Denmark 🌸 🌱
Chickenmannnnnnnn! Yes, I remember that show from AM radio in central Illinois, about 1968! According to Wikipedia, it was widely syndicated, including to Armed Forces Radio and broadcast to military forces in Vietnam. Created in Chicago in 1966, it was a spoof on comic book heroes.
I'm junk journaling like an absolute crazy human. I'm loving your videos and you are certainly an inspiration. I watch many but come back to you always. Just the way you come across on your video's just perfect. Inspiring and fun. PLUS you use real junk OMG it's the best. :) :)
So much fun. My family thinks I’m crazy due to saving boxes and junk mail. I can’t be the only one with a box of cake boxes, mac n cheese and tissue boxes! Don’t get me started on envelopes..hahahahaha 🤪😂🤣😜
I am in the yet to make a junk journal category. Okay truthfully I made a simple one signature kind of journal, an actual journal that has three signatures in it, I have one on my desk that I found the signatures for but not sewed in and two that are just the front and the backs of books I couldn't leave behind at the thrift store. And that is all I can do. I haven't came to actually putting anything IN my journals. It took so much emotional energy to get the signatures together that I just panic and make another base for a journal. STOP THE MADNESS! 😂 I LOVE your videos Pam. And your humor. 💜
"He's everywhere, He's everywhere "! Lol, I had to laugh. I listened to this show as Young teenager in the 60s on a station out of St. Louis, Missouri. So either you are dating yourself, or Toronto recycled it at a later date. 🙃😉 I loved this video, and wanted to say I use some real junk in all my journals. Glad you emphasized that it is just today's ephemera. 😁
Your dog looks like my dog, named Angel. She’s an emotional support animal. My sister bought her for me cuz my Bella died last year and it’s been very hard for me to do anything. This looks like something that would be fun! I’m going to try this! Thank you!
Brilliant Thank you, beginner, starting Junk Journaling. I have an antique book along with family photos 100 years ago. So want to do a practice one before l get into doing the sentimental one. Yes every l look at now with different eyes and don't know how to put a limit on 😂
I cannot believe I've been watching your videos for almost 2 years now. Time really does fly when you're having fun and I have found that using garbage is the least stressful way for me to try and make my junk journals. Everything else causes me stress either because I feel like I'm destroying something (books) or the paper is too freakin' pretty I'm afraid I'll ruin it, but repurposing garbage is fantastically fun! Thank you for so many great tutorials that even this unartistic idiot can follow them.

Thank you for entertaining me and reminding me not to get all over the top about supplies and pre-planning.
I enjoyed watching you play with the paper it look like you’re having a great time
How fantastic that's real recycling in action. I will be totally making my own one too.

I say you rock Paulette! :)
what a wonderful junk journal to make - that will be fun to play in - thanks Pam xx
OMG that is Soo cool, the apple is good for time lapse.....
I thought you were going to use the apple core as a stamp!!😂😂😂
Pam: I was wondering about that apple core myself. We’re you going to use the seeds? Haha Really good tutorial on using real trash. It can be done! Carol from California
You didn't hear me as I was telling you not to glue the window so you could use it. Lol
Thank you Pam!!! I love this idea. Looking forward to making the decorations and ephemera
We are going to have so much fun together :)
I love the image of thousands of people diving into their 'real junk" and making something,, all their family members can say "leave her alone, she is playing with her paper."
i was hoping you would put something cute in the "window"
Came out pretty neat. Always lotsa junk
This was so much fun! Can't wait for the next video! 😊❤
Sunny is definitely a crafter at heart 💜
You’ll be pleased to know I’ve really taken your “it’s only paper” advice to heart & made my first two little junk journals. They worked out better than I hoped too, so thank you 😁
I LOVED... THE FRIES! Peekin out thru that envelope window..Thought that was COOL!!
I would just Folded those 2 pages IN, TOGETHER... then when that fold was opened... BOOOM.. FRRIIEESS! 🎉😊

That's so cool
Hi there Pam, WHO KNEW .............................. what a wonderful video. Never thought in a month of Saturday's that using only "junk" could be so much fun. Blessings and hugs Diana
P.S. LOVE AND HUGS to Sunshine too.
Wow! Super fun....the apple core was the first thing I saw on your desk!☺️
I guess it goes with the theme of the day :)
Great to see how you put it all together!
We used to have "Chicken Man" on the Oldies radio station here in MT.😊
Had a weekend-shift, so it's taken me forevah! to get around to seeing this video!
Junk journal junkiness for junk journal junkies!! Amazing! 👏
'but my pumpkins are upside down!'
: made me chuckle 😃
Hi Sunny, you paper-eating pooch!
Loved this, Pam - looking forward to #2
hello from Denmark 🌸 🌱
If given a choice between upside-down pumpkin or no pumpkin, I choose upside-down pumpkin. I'm an October baby through and through.
Wow. Start with a pile of trash and come out with a useable journal. Very cool. Have a fantabulous weekend. Big hugs to all. ❤️❤️
ReWatching and paused to comment that I can't remember if you will incorporate your apple core. LOL
great," real, real, junk journal "!
I'm junk journaling like an absolute crazy human. I'm loving your videos and you are certainly an inspiration. I watch many but come back to you always. Just the way you come across on your video's just perfect. Inspiring and fun. PLUS you use real junk OMG it's the best. :) :)
I'm ready to make my third journal and decided I'd use this method just for frugal, fun upcycling. Than,s for the scrappy instruction.
So much fun. My family thinks I’m crazy due to saving boxes and junk mail. I can’t be the only one with a box of cake boxes, mac n cheese and tissue boxes! Don’t get me started on envelopes..hahahahaha 🤪😂🤣😜
You truly are the queen of paper recycling!! I honestly have never seen a junk journal quite so authentically junky. It's GREAT.!
I LOVE your videos Pam.
Oh, Pam! I love it! "don't forget the mailman. He brings free craft supplies".
Isn't that the truth!
For real I struggle with mental health issues and when autumn turns into winter PTSD closes all the blinds and I grab a pair of scissors. The children whisper, “She’s happy with the paper, just let her cut the paper. There’s no harm in that!”
😂😂😂😂😂
