I know this is an older video but, thank you so much. This has let me know that I don't have to have a "theme" to make a beautiful journal. Thank you again!!
I'm new to junk journaling/ scrapbooking, only started a couple of month's ago and came across your videos...I love watching you as with some of the others I feel my work is not good enough and that i dont have this or i dont have that but I get so much inspiration from you and you make it all look so simple x
I think it’s interesting to see the evolution of Pam as a bookmaker. My takeaways: we all have to create from where we are. We need to embrace our personal style, which will indeed evolve. And to trust the process because the process has to happen or there is no journey. Gettin’ deep up here in Massachusetts! 😂
Ok please don't take this wrong but I love to just sit and listen to you talk. All the sudden thoughts and randomness of your conversation. I do the same thing. Lol. You share such great ideas. Thank you so much for sharing. I love a visit from your puppy as well. He is so cute. God bless.
Oh my goodness, there was a time when Pam left blank pages in a journal. Lol. Love the look back on prior journals. Does help give some ideas, back to basics. I think we tend to think we have to keep creating more and more complex pages as we do this longer.
Can you imagine putting money in a meat pocket and cooking it? You can tell that was an old idea. Lol This was a cool video showing us new stuff and the evolution of Pam.
I loved this video Pam! ...remembering things we liked and then we continually improve and enhance on things as we go...with anything really! These things all serve a purpose...we do not look down on them! And we can learn better ways of doing things and we don't hesitate to make changes. "For who has despised the day of small beginnings?"-Zech.4:10
Sooo wonderful!! I haven’t been making journals long enough to have old ones to look back on!! Someday… really wonderful, Pam! Love the color & textures & all the little bits tucked here & there!! So glad you saved it!! Erica❤
You really crack me up Pam, but you also give me a lot of inspiration. Thank you for the explanations of the pieces in the journal. It gave me a much better understanding of the junk journal. I’m sure you can tell by now that I am new at this and you gave me a lot of ideas of what to do for my first journal. One more thing; I am 59 years old, which just shows you you are never too old to create! Thank you Pam!
It is a good idea to look back. I’ve been doing scrapbooks for nearly 30 years. A lot of times I find cool ideas I can reuse. Sometimes though it’s more like “What was I thinking?”. Same goes for journals looks like. 😀
Pam I absolutely loved the look back and all the ideas you have forgotten but us new journal makers never saw🙂. I go back and forth using things I purchase in kit form to using what I already own in old books and magazines. You make me feel confident in my own “style”. Thanks for helping us!! Give Sunny a tickle on his belly from Betty in Ohio.
I loved this video,...seeing what you USED to do. And so many great ideas. Really a fun video. I love the index cards. I do many things to plain old index cards. Thx for video. Austin,TX USA
Love this trip down memory lane. Yep we all need to remember stuff we did in the past, we keep trying new things and there is a danger of forgetting all the cool things we did. I love this journal Pam.
You have totally opened my eyes! I keep making then ditching my Book of Shadows because as I learn I need to add info but the pages are finished so I get frustrated and ditch the whole project. This is amazing! I can add envelopes and flaps and hidden little pockets. I’m so excited! I just ordered everything to make your journal. I sat and made my family’s Christmas presents yesterday while watching your 4 or 5 part series on it. I love long videos. Thank you so much for this channel. You’re an inspiration!
Loved seeing just what we all started with. If it was interesting we added it. All the way from Western Australia. I have been crafting listening to you looking back at just what you started with in JJ.
Great trip down memory lane. 👍 Honestly, I forget more than I remember when caught up in ‘the process’. If something is in a drawer or a box I forget to use it (like fancy blingy sari I never use) or I forget how cute and functional little folded paper envelopes can be, etc. etc. My goal for the past year has been to actually use my fav scrapbook paper kits I’ve been hoarding… errr… neglecting. Your videos always serve to remind me to use all of this stuff I already have. And I thank you. 💕
The red bookmark you put back in that journal in the last page tuck spot reminds me that whenever you use a staple, in this case using it to hold lace et al on the front, on the back side of the bookmark over the staple, you can put a sticker or a cut-out heart or whatever suits your fancy to put a nice finishing touch! LOVED THIS VIDEO... fun to look back at older techniques. The binoculars page you were loving to touch, I think the binoculars were clear stamped with embossing stamp pad designed for that, and then gold embossing dusted and from a distance heat gunned. (what are your binoculars searching for? on a journal card for a soul-searching journal could be cool... ) Embossing does great for tactile exploration! Laughed out loud when you went deep! That was fun moment~! Like it when you go deep! YOUR VIDEOS ROCK~!!
Oh Pam how you bring so much happiness and inspiration, you are so wonderful, thank you so much for sharing your memory journal tips, now my weekend will be full of bursting ideas xx
Loved this video. At one point I actually laughed when you said, "They make no sense." I had to write that down in my journal. I don't laugh often but this certainly made me laugh. Thanks for sharing my Sunday with me.
Going along, enjoying Pam's cadence as I always do...all of the sudden..."What up?!" I nearly choked as I giggled into my coffee cup. Not stopping me from taking ideas notes, tho!
Lovely works, 'from days gone by' - the metallics are an exciting touch 😯 We! who is we? Sunny and me & the rest of the family 😃 Fab song-sing-a-long 🎵 hello from Denmark 🌸 🌱
I must say I just found your channel and this has to be the most enjoyable video I have watched in a long time. I learned, I laughed, I smiled and I giggled. Thank you.
Omg,Thank you so much for sharing your long lost journal with us ,I really enjoyed it an it gave me some ideas an I hope you will do some of them on another video.Big hugs to you all, stay safe🤗🐾🐾❤
Good morning, Pam, I was just going to sign up for your newsletter, but had to delay a few minutes to hear your adorable song at the end. You never fail to make me smile or laugh throughout your wonderful, inspirational videos.
Hello Pam, loved your "old" journal. It was super cute and sooooo very different from your style now. You use to leave quite a few empty pages, I see, and I just love all the different little tucks, especially the stacked one, am going to try it.🤫 Love the spine covering, that is deliciously scrummy.🤗😍 Thank you for sharing your memories with us and for your fantastic manner in which you explain all the ideas to us, it is inspirational and now I just want to rush off and CREATE WITH ABANDON!!!!!! 😄😄. ANYHOOOOO, love to the Sunny Bunny, you and of course Papa,. Sending Blessings and hugs as always from Cape Town. Diana🦊🦊🦊
I ran across your videos twice this morning and took it as a sign. Then I heard your bird, which made my birds go crazy....lol and you topped it all off with birder info in this junk journal. Just started my first junk journal and I'm not a fan of this paper wrinkling process with glue. Thanks for posting and sending all the birder love to you!
When you get old postage stamps, that have glue that you can lick, and they are all glued to gather, one on top of each other! You can just put them in hat water and pull them a part! place them face down on news paper then let them air dry then just pull them off and store them in a dry place!
I was also looking through old journals and wow how I've changed I went from books that close to now massive gator mouths but I must admit I do like the fullness of a gator mouth book with all kinds of wonders sticking out everywhere. I'm thinking maybe I should go back though and make a few emptier writing journals but hey I will probably end up filling it because I have a problem hahaha
You are truly my inspiration and am so glad I discovered you (instantly subscribed) This walk through is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing your talent.
I just leave my tea or color dyed papers spread out on an old bedspread that I use for a painting dropcloth on the garage floor. I don't iron them. After they dry, I stack them and weight them with books or something, they come out reasonably smooth. And I like whatever wrinkles or warping that may be left.
I just found your UA-cam videos again! I got inscribed some how?? I was wondering why I haven't seen any of your new videos lately?? Thank you for sharing your wonderful going down memory lane! I love it! I'm working on a couple of Junk Journals!
Good morning Pam! Thank you for the walk through of your journal! I sometimes find my better ideas in my older journals. Time to get them out again. Have a great day!
This is why I love this channel, you’re not afraid to have fun.
I know this is an older video but, thank you so much. This has let me know that I don't have to have a "theme" to make a beautiful journal. Thank you again!!

OK, now we want to see every old journal in the big trunk.
LOL..no shortage of supply here!
I'm in Massachusetts also😁
Yes, it was so much fun seeing how many things change over time. But everything was awesome!
'Random Guy' is Paul Revere! Love that you saved this book.
Fun flip-though. That 'random guy' is Paul Revere, a famous portrait by John Singleton Copely.
thanks for clearing that up!
Good Morning Ye Ole Journal Maker Pam! I love your Free Spirit! Love, Diane
Ok please don't take this wrong but I love to just sit and listen to you talk. All the sudden thoughts and randomness of your conversation. I do the same thing. Lol. You share such great ideas. Thank you so much for sharing. I love a visit from your puppy as well. He is so cute. God bless.
You are simply fearless, adorable, and I love your singing! Hugs from Monroe, GA.
Great ideas and a lovely Journal. 💞Namaste 🐞🕉️✌️
Memory Lane is Magical. Simple is super.
When you don't have as much stuff you have to get more creative. Thanks for the lesson in less is more.
so true!
lol @ everything yellows ya teeth ya eyes and ya paper... made me chuckle out loud ....I love looking through your journals... so much inspiration...
Thanks for the singing. Made me smile.
That random guy is Paul Revere. Lol. Thanks for the tour, Pam.
Even if we don’t actually do any journaling in the form of writing in our handmade journals, we can say we have journaled memories.
Only 2019, the way you were talking going down memory lane, I was imagining like 20years ago 😁! 👏🏼🙏🏼🇬🇧
Oh my goodness, there was a time when Pam left blank pages in a journal. Lol. Love the look back on prior journals. Does help give some ideas, back to basics. I think we tend to think we have to keep creating more and more complex pages as we do this longer.
Its fun to try many styles!! :)
😳😱🤯
😂🤣😂
What a full junk journal. with alot of fun goodies to use and look at
So fun to see all your current and past creations!!
You could make a years worth of videos demonstating how you did all of those fun things; Starting with the embossed fun foam!
I loved the fun foam idea! And have plenty to use from my stash
Holy cow..SSOO MANY FORGOTTEN great ideas!!! Ohh yeah!!! Thanks for the stroll!!!
Can you imagine putting money in a meat pocket and cooking it? You can tell that was an old idea. Lol

That was a fun journey. Thank you for bringing out one of your older journals.
It is a good idea to look back. I’ve been doing scrapbooks for nearly 30 years. A lot of times I find cool ideas I can reuse. Sometimes though it’s more like “What was I thinking?”. Same goes for journals looks like. 😀
I love the napkin over the book page idea!

Congratulations to you both. 🎉🎉🎉 Friday giveaway please! ❤
What a fun video! So interesting to see all the different tips. The random guy is Paul Revere.

Nice walkthrough and loads of great wee techniques.

Such a wealth of wonderful ideas! Thank you!
So cute you are singing! :) I love the simplicity of the "olden days"
Some great ideas and a serenade to boot! Delightfully folksy tune (reminded me of "The Beverly Hillbillies" theme)!
Good morning Pam! Thank you for the walk through of your journal! I sometimes find my better ideas in my older journals. Time to get them out again. Have a great day!
Absolutely enjoyed your video
Looking back at good ideas 💝
