I have been a product design engineer for almost 5 years, this to me is an entry level fail. I bet this is what happen in the company, the owner came up this cool idea use smartphone to feed his/her dog. Then he/she hired some software developers and engineers developed the app and product. Then just put on the market and put a price tag $300, hope somebody will buy/test one. I bet the owner never even try the product itself before put it on the shelf.
Kind of overpriced. I bought the same feeder without the "smart" features for about $40 on Amz a couple yrs ago. You can set the days, time and amount of food dispensed. Different brand name.
This is what happens when you try to "smartify" everything. It's a dog bowl, just feed the dog like normal people!
I'm a normal human being but I don't eat dog food.
It actually works great especially if your pet requires small intermittent meals due to over eating.
