Being November... Awesome detailed history on this one. Hats off! I would guess the RAF raised the Platforms for Heavy Vehicle On/Off-loading...? I like that sharp turn on Line 3 before the platform, in the back of the mind you always think "What if?". The Flight Arrivals against that sky made the Planes pop-out nice. Return of the Goodfeathers as well, Pigeons need them Cameos too. Magpies steal all the glory! Full Rail-service and Cross-wind Landings, what a great day even for the Abort. Thanks!
I love coming to this station, there is always so much to see when you come here. Especially if you're standing at this end of the station as you get the variety in aircraft either taking off or landing. The weather was holding out for the most part so I was quite happy with that. Just a shame that the wind was so strong during my stay here. My assumption would be that the RAF raised the platforms for the heavy equipment to be unloaded and loaded.
Great video Jarred. Gatwick Airport is always busy no matter what traffic passes through, been through there a number of times in the past. Used to travel from Hastings ( my home town ) to Worcester Park (Surrey) via Clapham junction to visit friends there. You'll love Brighton too.
