Great video. I just swapped my switch out in my 67 Cougar. That steering column is a serious obstruction! Had to dig deep into my soul to get my spine to bend the way I needed it to.
The link you added for the "POWER" brake light switch is for the regular MANUAL brake light switch. Can you add the link to the POWER switch you used please!
Excellent question. You have 2 options. You can go with original disc brake master cylinder with the brake light switch on the master cylinder and then add a proportioning valve and you're good to go. Or you can get a brake pedal for a 65 and route the wires for the brake light switch back inside the car to the pedal mounted switch.
By far the BEST "how to" instructural UA-cam channel for anyone, of any skill level, working on Mustangs. I learn so much here. Great job!!
Thank you sir!

Lol I understand! Luckily I'm still young enough to get there!
At my age and size, its called "Fat mans misery"..
As usual good information thank you
You're very welcome!
Thanks for another great video! When I installed my CSRP kit 2 years ago, I had to figure this out the hard way!
Lol yup! This is one of those things you would think would be talked about with disc brake kits.
Easy Peasie when you’re not fighting the steering column and clutch pedal assy like I have on my 68 Mustang. Slow and patient is the way to go.
Absolutely!

My apologies. It has been updated.
Great video
On a 64.5 the brake light switch is on the single bowl reservoir. How do you hook up the disc brake conversion on that?

just out of curiosity do you forsee an issue with installing a power brake light switch in a car with manual?
No, I've done it several times just to make the lights activate sooner. Seems to work great with both types of brake systems.
Just realized the other day that not only is my brake booster leaking air(occasionally) but also my brake light doesn't come on until the last 10%
Oh ya! Those brake light switches we kind of forget about!
I hate to be a pain, but the link for the switch just goes to autozone's home page. Got a part number for the power switch?
It actually goes to the autozone PRO home page
Lol dang it. Part # F4812
The link should work too. I made it from my commercial account rather than the retail account.
