    I love how Gordon is turning into mini John Danaher in his presentation style and philosophical explanations. Great stuff!

      What John does and teaches people to do is think axiomatically and statistically about Jiujitsu.

      Nah I prefer Gordon. He is more concise. Danaher is too verbose for me.

    Danaher and his squad are years ahead of anyone else. They're pioneering the art and taking it to the next level

    Ryan's instruction reminds me of Danaher, it's crazy how his voice inflections are like Danaher. Danaher has clearly drilled his voice into Ryan's mind.

    What a weird coincidence. I was just about to search for a NoGi berimbolo tutorial and have been watching Gordon Ryan's matches for a good few hours earlier today and now I see that 55 minutes ago my favorite tutorial channel posted the exact tutorial I was about to search for with the athlete I've been watching all day lol perfect.

    Such an elite tutorial. Great teaching progression. Used demonstration, verbal cues, detailed explanation, and reteaching/review. I like how you draw the connection of movements ie. Gi vs. nogi. This video allows me to create an effective mental map. Thank u! Love these 2 together.

    Gordon does a great job going down the decision tree of options from berimbolo in gi and no gi. Was awesome to see the basic outline that feed into his vids (I.e. leg, back, passing, etc). Regardless of your stance on his politics, this young man is exceptional is his mastery of the art and its instruction. Enjoy it folks - these types of people are rare to come across!

    How does one invert so effortlessly, any tips?

    • @NalbertWattam
      @NalbertWattam 4 роки тому +3

      One really useful tip is to try to put your shoulders close to your ears, that makes them get out of the way through the invertion and create a curvature on your back-shoulders that help as well

    so when your opponent puts both of his shoulders on to the mat that really just shuts down the full berimbolo. weird... almost like keenan cornelius has been saying this for awhile now

      Nope, no offence to Gordon, he isn't the best at bolo. Look up people that actually use the bolo in competition and they have a few options when the opponent lays back.

    1. That isn't a berimbolo - his thighs don't trap bernardo's thigh - it's a crab ride entry
    2. That was one of the sloppiest crab ride finishes I have ever seen. 12 yr olds at AOJ are better at this compared to Gordon
