@@mattmarzula the mountain analogy is referring to the large amount of meth that will be made in the lab during breaking bad the cave analogy works for the lab itself though!
Man, where the HELL do they find all these random bangers that no one has heard of? I swear there's at least 10 or so songs from BB and BCS that I now listen to regularly because of the shows.
Oh brother where art thou begins with the original version of this song loved it since I was a kid. The original version of this is probably close to 100 years old by this point.
As soon as the song started I was like “Wait a minute is that Sam the Snowman” and yeah it totally is. That’s the same person who sung and narrated the old Rudolph special
@guy4835 TF are you on about? Speak for yourself. It was absolutely fascinating to me and an essential part of literal world building for the story as far as I'm concerned.
@@StarWarsMoments Hey that’s actually really cool! I met a dude once who talked about people like, woody gurthie, Harry McClintock, cliff carlise and such. He was so down to earth and humble.
It’s almost like an inside joke, because the meth in the show was all rock candy, so they’re figuratively constructing the big rock candy mountain.
It would be a cave though.
@@mattmarzula the mountain analogy is referring to the large amount of meth that will be made in the lab during breaking bad
the cave analogy works for the lab itself though!
Breaking bad is a documentary and shot in real time. This makes no sense then Walters customers would know?
Goodness these two shows surely knew how to make a good montage. Thanks
tbh BCS knocked it out of the part with this stuff
Such a perfect song for this scene. This show goes deep.
the buuuuuuuuuuuzzzzing of the bees. that gets me every time

Burle Ives. True it's been a while since I've listened this song; fits well with scene
Random to you!

This is my alarm song 😭❤ This and "Sun, shine on me today" from BB
Ignorant people think others know as much as they
Hadn't heard the song since I was a kid, was nice to hear it again in BCS :)
music in this episode 😍
A laundromat. A meth lab. A tomb.
Two in the ground, with another foot in the grave.
What was built for a empire, decayed into a colossal wreck.
🙄
Walt fuckin' Whitman ova here 😁
@@elgamericoalways with the scenarios
@@theamazingmeh1759 Walt the "time bomb" indeed. Took everyone else with him. Jesse barely got out.

I thought it was Pete Seeger for a quick second. I knew Pete Seeger he was a good man and a true inspiration. Not enough people know who he is.
he is called the Snowman because he deals cocaine
Burl Ives
Ziiiiieeeegler
what’s he up to man what’s he doin
You know how many Werner Zieglers there are in Germany? 27.
26 now, according to Mrs Ziegler.
Wernerrrrr
Is there truly no other way? 😢😢😢😢
quite a lot of planning went into this
you can thank Dave Porter for picking this song
Thomas Golubic was the music supervisor, the guy who picks the music.
Perfect montage, so glad the scene with dialogue of Mike giving Werner the marzipan (the devils creation!🤮) was dropped!
First time watching Better call Saul loving it! Vince Gilligan really does pick some great music.
They used Rock Candy for the Meth for Breaking Bad which is funny.
about 1h looking for this song finally found it. was starting to think I was going crazy
Does anyone wonder how they got all the heavy construction (and later meth producing equipment) down there? Was there a second hole?
A true labour song fits with the scene
why the bucket of that skid steer up in the air like that come on man
I saw Primus last month and Les randomly went into a Burl Ives impression and I wanted them to cover this song so bad
Lol big rock candy mountain...a meth reference lol.
Would've gone with "Drill, Ye Terriers, Drill!"
Need this version but clean
What do you mean exactly? The song existed before the show.
All right, guys, you do know that there's no actual Candy Mountain, right
Gopher, Mike?
can someone explain the song?
imo the Harry McClintock version is better
Fact: it was not recommended by UA-cam. You searched for it.

Same here 😂
False
Uh… the fuck kind of stupid ass comment is this? no it wasnt
dumbfuck, it was recommended
Gilligan massively overestimated the fans' interest in the logistics of how the laundromat meth lab was built
I loved that part. Shows how far Mike's morals have fallen since he started working for Gus
I thought it was interesting. It was one of my big questions from BB
To attempt to deconstruct how a story is told in such a pedestrian way shines a light on your level of intelligence. A very dim light.
@guy4835 TF are you on about? Speak for yourself. It was absolutely fascinating to me and an essential part of literal world building for the story as far as I'm concerned.
Speak for yourself
Real ones discovered this song on O brother Where art Thou, but this is still really cool!!
I've known this song since the '70s, squirt.
