I have just started to think of getting an EV. Your channel is the best I have come across. The information about public chargers is not there in any channel. Thanks for sharing.
Yes they did but the question is will everyone adapt to it and the ather chargers be considered cheaper and will be charged per unit rather than minute?
@@Cristroxxregarding adaptation - yes, everyone will have to use ather connector ultimately, for example - apple has to remove it's lightning adapter ultimately due to EU rules and now using type C...similarly since it is a BIS approved connector and the decision is taken by government after consulting with all leading ev makers ( includes ather , ola , hero vida, TVs and others) , everyone will ultimately switch to ather connector. Now, regarding pricing, ev is just evolving, so, it will be premature to say anything...but, as seen by many analysts after ather started charging fee for it's fast charging , most people prefer charging in their home only. Only in emergencies they are using the fast charger. Also, unlike ICE where we are totally dependent on petrol , hence petrol prices affects us directly; in ev we have the option of home charging always, so prices of fast charging will not have a tremendous impact on us.
Ola s1 pro , tork , ultra violate & simple one use same charger type 6 A so I think we can use their fast chargers too in future when they expand as ports are same ??
While i agree that a common charger helps, it is clearly not the companies implement. Now it's a good time for converters. Converter that could plug ather to ola grid and vice-versa. Even better it can connect to any type 2 car plugs so that i can use car fast charger infra as well
Converters are really a good practical idea.. do you think “ather chargers port standardisation by govt” can help to solve this ? That way every OEM can win, do you think ??
@@GreeenRide Ather did the standardisation which is commendable. Not sure why (unless there is a technical limitation) others don't use it. It would be the no 1 requirement to have a common interface. Now we see that USB came and led the way, then USB C type is doing the same. Similarly for EVs standardisation should happen. There are so many good reason (known only to them) why they are not going in that direction. At least if we have converters this can be bridged. CCS2 and Chademo are two big standards for EV cars. CCS2 is gaining momentum. The converter has a big use case here - There are so many chargers where the operator has to put one gun of CCS2 and another for Chademo. What if they can put two guns of CCS2? the number of chargepoint doubles as with the converter both cars with CCS2 and Chademo can charge interchangeably.
The charging pin used by Ola, Tork, Ultraviolette and Simple was already an industry standard from Taiwan. Ather's plug only got recently approved. Ola's was approved under Bharat charging standards many years ago. So I think the Ola one should be used, since it will work with internationally chargers too.
Yes sir main bhi ye bat har youtuber ko bol raha hu ki manufacturers ko bole type 2 charging port dene ko Type2/ccs2 Cars me compulsory hai so agar bikes/scooters me bhi mile toh car ke charging station me bike charge kar sakte hai Type 2 port me 11kw tak dc fast charging bhi ho sakti hai

Hey brother ! I personally use Ather and its quite reliable. But, at this moment I really can't pick anyone from these 2 scooters because they both give really good range around 110 kms. Except Vida has a few extra features. Not sure if it's good for long term at this moment.

The government has recently approved ather charger pin as standard for all ev two wheelers...
Can you share me the link about this information

I tried to share the link but UA-cam deleted it.

Adapters are the only option in this situation. But there are none available in the market at this time.
